It's a pleasant place with many TVs tuned to sporting events. The wait staff was friendly. We ordered the butternut squash ravioli, a tofu coconut curry and a pistachio crusted salmon. It was very tasty, but the person with the salmon said there wasn't much pistachio on it. We also ordered artichoke spinach dip, which was OK, but we all agreed it was too runny dripping off the chips and they didn't give us enough chips to eat all of the dip. We had to ask for more chips and they tried to charge us three dollars for them, but we had them take it off the bill. It's located right around the corner from Port of Authority bus terminal so it was a short walk after dinner for some of us to catch our bus. For the rest of us was a reasonably short walk back to Penn Station. We all agreed that we Here's a refined version of your review:This is a pleasant spot with plenty of TVs showing various sports events, making for a lively atmosphere. The wait staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We ordered the butternut squash ravioli, tofu coconut curry, and pistachio-crusted salmon. The food was flavorful, though the salmon could have used more pistachio topping, according to the person who ordered it. For appetizers, we had the artichoke spinach dip, which tasted fine but was too runny--it kept dripping off the chips. Additionally, there weren't enough chips for the amount of dip, and when we requested more, they initially tried to charge us $3. Thankfully, they removed the charge when we asked. The location is very convenient, just around the corner from the Port Authority bus terminal and within a reasonable walking distance of Penn Station. This made it easy for our group to head home after dinner.Overall, we enjoyed our visit and agreed we'd come back again.

My friend and I came here for dinner. The interior looked really cool with nice, interesting decor. It was pretty spacious and had a chill vibe. I ordered the Double Cut Pork Chop, which was served with turnip purée, carrots, and apple bourbon glaze. That Pork Chop was huge, as well as thick. It was delightfully tender, juicy, and well seasoned. The carrots were cooked well, and the glaze was tasty, especially with the addition of apples. I wasn't a fan of the turnip puree, which had sort of an earthy taste. I would have preferred Truffle and Parmesan Fries. My friend and I shared the Molten Chocolate Cake with pistachio ice cream. This was quite yummy, but would have liked a bit more of a gooey chocolate filling. The chocolate cake was rich, sweet, while the ice cream was wonderfully nutty, creamy, and smooth.Service was pretty good. Prices were reasonable, especially considering the Midtown area. I would return to try the Pan Roasted Cod Fish with lobster mashed potatoes.

Nice bar in midtown. Our group was able to set up off to the side and have a semi-private reunion. We ordered munchies like chicken fingers, loaded fries, fish tacos and artichoke dip. Service was good and they have a decent sized area in the restaurant.

Wanted a cocktail before sitting to dinner. Sat at bar and no one took our order. Could see staff chatting at other end of bar too. We walked out. Came back later as we really wanted Fish & Chips. Sat in dining area and service was prompt and friendly. Food was just okay. Can't say I recommend.

In preparation of Yelp's #ThankYouThursday, I wanted to thank The Joyce Public House for their great service, warm atmosphere, and delicious food! This is a go-to for me and for my family when they are in town. The manager always remembers us and comes over to say hello. We have gotten to know a few of the servers and bartenders and we always have an enjoyable experience here. They have TONS of bar seating so it is never too hard to get a table, even at peak times. They have a great variety of food and the food is much more elevated than other pubs in the area. My two favs are the fish and chips and Pumpkin Ravioli!Thank you, The Joyce, for continuing to provide great service in Midtown!

The Joyce is a great Irish Pub near Penn Station. Spacious, classy decor, high ceilings, and a friendly professional customer base.I've been going for drinks for years now and always good - my experience with food is more limited but they do a solid burger.NOTE TO OWNER: Please get Magners Cider back in ASAP; they screwed up their own distribution but it's being fixed and there is NO better cider!!!

We ordered beer and were immediately asked for a 20% tip. We had no choice and when we complained about it we were threatened with the police. We are used to being able to choose the tip ourselves, even if it is New York City. This is a rip-off!!!

The live music was great and created a fantastic atmosphere. However, I was very disappointed that a 20% tip was automatically added to the bill without prior notice. Tipping should be a choice, not a requirement. This left a negative impression despite the otherwise good experience

I use to love this place but as of lately its not good. I went with a friend and ordered the basic wings well done and they came out cold and undercooked. The staff is so busy socializing with each other they can't take care of customers even thought the place is almost empty. I see why it's empty. They really need to revamp the place or close it since they can't handle the most basic request.
