A bit off the beaten path so not crowded when we walked in at 6pm on a weekday. The bar is U-shaped and has lots of seats, and there are hi-tops on the side. We snagged a hi-top and the server quickly took our order. Service all around was good.We weren't expecting much in the way of food but it was surprisingly tasty. The chicken tenders were indeed tender (and crispy) and the nachos came with a choice of the same protein that is in the main course section (like chicken chunks). Even the chips for the chips and guac came out warm and crispy. All around solid, would return.

So the place was not crowded when we first got there. But it was during Santa con and they decided to have the place as a meeting spot for their scavenger hunt. It got ridiculously packed where they were five back from the bar, regardless, we had a great time. I love the fact that when we got there, they didn't have volume on the football game and we asked the bartender to turn on the volume for the army navy football game and she totally did. The chicken wings were fabulous. Very spicy which I like and juicy and messy. The nachos with guacamole were excellent and so were the drinks. Definitely a great place to go watch some football and have a good time. the service was outstanding even when it got packed. I am shocked at how two bartenders were able to cover everything. they had to move quickly.

This is a review of the comedy club in the back, and the back bar. First off, the drinks actually were made right. Okay, well, a Manhattan SHOULD have a cherry (these didn't). They still tasted good, and had enough alcohol that I could taste them. The comedy acts were quite funny. There was a good variety, and the sets lasted around 10 to 15 minutes each. The ambience is bar / nightclub. The service is actually quite good. Some things to know:2 Item (food or drink) minimum per person.Sitting in the back doesn't buy you anonymity in any way, shape or form from the comedians. You are fair game wherever you sit.As usual, some of the comics were better than others, and we got a good laugh. We found a vendor in Times Square who sold us the tickets at a slight discount. Look around.

Food was delicious and so were the infamous oreo donuts! Bartenders and waitresses were also super welcoming and the entertainment from the comedians made the night memorable

Not a large selection of food but what they offer they do well. Bar feel with tacos and donuts. Don't skip the donuts! My family got them twice when we stayed at the Hilton next door. Service was very friendly, owner was lovely and you can feel like a regular if you visit more than once. The negative is the interior is pretty dark and my old eyes required my flashlight to read menu.

I've been a fan of live comedy and if you're from New York this is place is a live comedy staple. I've been going to the Macdougal location for many years, this uptown location is just as good if not better!Food menu is amazing and in opinion you won't get a better pint of Guinness.Super friendly staff and great comedy shows. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in midtown!

I've been watching progress on The Grisly Pear for awhile now. Then on Sunday, we were walking to Black Iron Burger across the street and saw GP was opened so we made a detour to check out the newest place in the neighborhood. It was late on a Sunday afternoon and it was a little quiet but we were greeted by a friendly team. Our server told us the specials they had on drinks and we started with some beer and cocktails. For food, my friends and I shared Fiesta Fries, which were really good. For my main meal, I had buffalo chicken wings and I liked the level of spice and their overall crispyness. We ended with some choco mint donuts, which were pretty good. The place is fresh and updated. You can tell that they are not open long as we had some questions about the menu and our server had to get answers, but that's okay and to be expected. For a place that hasn't been open long, they seem to have it together. I want to reiterate that everyone who works there is super friendly and makes you feel welcome.I've never been to the Grisly Pear location in the Village so can't compare this new outpost to the original. This location does note that it is a comedy club as well and I could see the space in the back reserved for that so it's nice to know that's around.I think this is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and it's always nice to have a solid pub nearby.

I was staying at the hotel just next door and I thought I would try out the Bar/Restaurant. The Menu was very limited and the first thing I ordered they didn't have. The establishment was very dark inside and not very welcoming. The food was overpriced for the quality.

so a year ago, I was a at the grizzly pair and I had absolutely no complaints no questions no I don't know if they're new or whatever the fuck they're not cordial they're not kind they don't do anything to make me want to build a rapport with them and continue to come and patronize this specific bar. Yeah, I might be there for the open but like do you know how many open mics there are in New York City that I could go to I come to this bar for these comedy shows because I've built a rapport with the bartenders and the current motherfuckers that they got there. I just don't know the grizzly bear used to be one of the first suggestions that I would give to people as to where to go if they really wanted to go somewhere that was New York City and it isn't anymore. 3//5 Stars deadass ...

I'm here now, sitting at the bar. This place is not crowded and a person could die of thirst Was watching the baseball game and dude switched it to football. Worst chicken sandwich ever and no one even asked why I only took two bitesI hope the comedy is better than the food and service. You can do better
