The Grand Salon and The Bar

It's a beautiful set of rooms - and on a Wednesday night, extremely packed with "reserved" signs everywhere. While we were there trying to get a seat at the bar or in the salon, there were plenty of empty seats, but all held with a reserved sign. Guessing they are mostly guests of the hotel holding the spots as the time we were there, they were completely "booked" with many seats empty. The staff apologized but directed us to the overpacked bar where we had just come from. We ended up going downstairs to Taru which was much more accommodating.

The Grand Salon and Bar at the Baccarat Hotel is one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Manhattan. It is certainly the most glittery, of course it is all Baccarat crystal. The service is impeccable and very formal. The Grand Salon just screams money and decadence. Order some champagne and caviar and then move on to foie gras or you can get the grilled cheese with tomato soup or the lobster roll or the burger (actually you can get mini of the grilled cheese, lobster roll and burger too). Whatever you want, this is a place to indulge. One complaint!!! Gelato flavors? Vanilla and chocolate. They can do a lot better than that. Overall a place to have a great time.

Wow, what a stunning place to eat til you're stuffed on the decadence of the food and atmosphere. A gorgeous bar that serves fun sexy drinks and delicious appetizers where we celebrated a birthday. The staff will treat you like royalty which is something that I never got used to. Their kindness and attentiveness throughout the meal was amazing and never overbearing. We ordered the pomme frites, bolognese, and grilled cheese. Everything was cooked to perfection! I got the Magic Eye cocktail which is great for Mezcal lovers (not me unfortunately but hey I tried). Cannot recommend enough for a night out with friends or a lover!

Ambiance: SO PRETTY! This bar was on my bucket list for a while and the crystals lived up to the hype :)Service: Everyone was knowledgeable and very politeDrinks: The main reason for 3 stars. I love mixology and am happy to pay for a solid cocktail. But at a $30 price point I was very disappointed with the quality of my drink.Food: We got the truffle fries and the sliders. Fried were good, sliders were mediocre.

Came here for drinks after a day of shopping. Service is great, drinks are overpriced but great. I love the elegant vibes and atmosphere, can't wait to come back.

The vibe is very bougie secret. There's an elevator guy that helps you onto the floor you need. The restaurant, bar and store are all on the same floor. Get reservations for the salon if you're looking for dinner (they do a tea time thing which I'll have to try) but my husband and I stayed at the bar. The drinks are good and bar tenders knowledgeable but 30$ for a drink is exorbitant even for bougie people lol. Honestly it's more just to take in the ambiance. With that said the drinks were good and strong so at least the 30$ didn't feel like I was drinking fruit juice. The store was nice to visit but the attendant didn't seem to into the job lol - which was fine - I'm not particularly into pushy sales folks either. But I was actually trying to especially find some martini glasses for my bar set and this guy just had no clue what I was talking about lol. But still! Fun to walk around and look at crystal! Also they had Baccarat Rouge Parfums available which was heavenly to spritz on lol.

First time here and it's wonderful! Debbie, one of the bartenders is amazing and has the best personality! She even gave me a taste of a cocktail she made. Even though it's a 5 star hotel, it feels quite nice and not stuffy; I do love the fact they serve all the drinks in exquisite Baccarat Crystal! Makes drinking a cocktail so much more enjoyable

The place lives up to its name, it's grand in size, decor, opulence, over the top crystal chandeliers, theatre lighting, huge bar and lounge, with an outdoor terrace facing the MoMA. Over the top grandeur includes caviar, really attentive staff, and a comfort of a place designed for leisure and Imbibing in luxury. The scale of the windows and the lighting coming through is palacial, reminiscent of a grand ballroom. One might not love the style but would still be hard pressed not to love the overall sense of scale and ambition.

Wow, The Grand Salon and The Bar was simply mind-blowing. Location and service was great. Pretty much every menu item that we have purchased was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I became very good friends with the staff, who are all awesome and super courteous. I highly recommend it.

Came here for breakfast in the mornings and afternoon Tea on Easter Sunday. It was an amazing experience. The best part was the scones . They were warm and delicious. They came with butter and an apricot preservative that made the entire taste over the top. Highly recommended. We also ordered champagne.
