Located in the Roxy hotel basement, Django is mainly a live music venue that serves drinks and food (small menu).First, the roxy hotel has a lot going on. Hotel, coffee bar, cocktail bar with live music, cinema and Django. All that is to say that this place is usually pretty busy all night. The entrance for Django is shared with the cinema, so it can get pretty crowded, Django has 2 set seating times that align with the live music sets. If you want to sit really close to the music, come at least 15 minutes before your reservation. They have a $35 cover charge + 2 drink min. I found that if you order food, they wont enforce the 2nd drink requirement. The food was good, but nothing special. I ordered the burger which was tasty. The live music was good and service was friendly. Food took too long to arrive, so that was a bit annoying.Would come back for the music, but skip the food next time. Overall a nice venue with plenty of other options to stick around after the music.

I used to love this place. At one point, I felt it was worth the 2 drink minimum and $35 cover. HOWEVER, this place is not worth it.We decided to spend my 30th birthday here. Of all places, here. When I told the hostess it was my birthday she volunteered "We'll make sure to celebrate you".NOTHING. Not a comped drink, not a slice of cake. ZERO. I get it, you're a business but DON'T MAKE PROMISES YOU CAN'T KEEP. For a $400 bill, and a LOYAL, repeat customer, you'd think they'd show a LITTLE love. I'll go elsewhere next time......

Staffs were friendly, decor were on point with the bathroom decors being the best. Chairs were cool in the waiting area, but definitely small space with lots of people. There's an oyster and restaurant bar upstairs, and obviously hotel thru the elevator. But it seemed confusing at first if you trying to find the jazz venue bar. You just gotta walk in thru the front door and proceed to the back for stairs or elevator to go down. Easy. The food was pretty ok, but definitely interesting hotel vibe food..

10 out of 10!!!!!!!!! Our reservations were at 645 but doors open at 630. Get there early because there will be a line! The servers were extremely attentive and the food was *chefs kiss*! We had the grilled tenderloin with wilted kale that comes with fries and a Cesar salad which are shareable items. The drinks were strong so have some food. Now the entertainment----WOW! The nick hempton band KILLED IT! I would pay to see them perform anywhere. The musicians feel the music. They did a set of about 4-5 songs but I wish I heard more. Amazing performance!

This place was amazing - it's an intimate lightly lit spot with a ton of character and charm - the performer was a mix of jazz and poetry - we ordered a couple of drinks and and order of fries (as we had just come from dinner) however there was a full menu to choose from - the waitress was constantly coming over to check in - which I really appreciated - there's is also a Cinema and it's located in The Roxy Hotel - the only downside (which is no fault of the establishment) a table next to us was full of patrons who talked very loudly the entire time - so it made it very difficult to enjoy the show

Came here last night under a friend's recommendation. We got there too early, so we went to the bar upstairs and got a drink. They were supercharged with alcohol my "rebel rebel" didn't taste like anything except pure rubbing alcohol. Anyways, we finally were seated at The Django and it was surprising to see such a pretty little stage with dim lights and a good service! Our server, however, was rare to be found. The meat and cheese board was fantastic, the tuna tartare was ruined by spice (I'm for natural tastes and flavors honestly) and the artichoke toast wasn't great as the artichokes were pickled or something. Wine was great as well. THE MUSIC!! OH GOD!! We had enough food to stay for two shows so we got to see two different groups, and they were both beyond amazing. I might make this a little weekly thing. Wine, cheese and meat board, and beautiful music.

Wow, what a cool jazz club in retro hotel in the Tribeca area. It was a treat from our daughter so it made it even more special.*Note. Reservations are a must! We saw several people get turned away that thought they could just walk in.You feel like you're in a speakeasy with an intimate small crowd very close to the jazz band. They serve tasty cocktails as well as delicious food.

I had a great time visiting this popular jazz bar. We had a great table in the front and center of the jazz band. The food and beverage selection was good. The service was friendly and on point. You need to book a reservation due to the popularity of this place. They have different jazz bands that rotate every couple of hours. I look forward to visiting again.

LOVED this spot. Came alone, stayed a long time. Head downstairs in the Roxy Hotel and you'll find this jazz spot tucked into the corner near the theater. Cover fee tends to be around $35 for performances and there is also a two drink minimum. If you like the jazz, this is a fantastic spot as the acoustics and setting are fantastic. You'll find very talented jazz performers here - check their social media or website for who's playing.

I don't normally leave reviews but the service herecompelled me to write one. I love jazz shows and have been to many around the city. Most serious jazz clubs have quiet policies. On the menu it even stated this. The couple in front of our direct view was chatting the whole time and partially blocking our view. Again would normally not do this but my partner then told the waiter as it's on their own menu and website. The waiter responds one of the most misogynistic things I've heard, "oh well unfortunately he's trying to seal the deal". If he had simply told us hey yes we have that policy but don't strictly enforce it or even bullshitted us that he'd say something it'd be fine. I found his comment super gross and dehumanizing to the girl involved. The ambience and music are great but the experience left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I'd say If you want to go here get there early enough to get a better seat. One of my favorite parts about jazz shows is that you're in quiet environment to fully enjoy the experience. Normally jazz clubs strictly enforce their quiet policy.
