I love this place! It has multiple floors, and we went on a Friday night (Feb 14). It was busy but had a great atmosphere. The drinks were fantastic! We went to the top floor, and the bartender was super nice--he made amazing drinks and still took the time to chat with us, even though he was busy. I ordered the Smoke & Mirrors ($20), which was excellent, and we also had an Irish Coffee--the best I've ever had!Every drink we tried was great. I don't remember the bartender's name (Check says parlor ext b ) but he was so friendly and made our experience even better. Would definitely come back!

The Dead Rabbit in New York is one of the best Irish pubs you will ever experience. So much so that it won best bar in the world twice. @thedeadrabbitny It is a unique concept because it has the casual and welcoming pub environment you are used to, but everything they do is elevated. Their cocktail program is one of the best. The staff is as talented as they are friendly. Heck they turn the bar into a Christmas miracle called Jingle Jangle (see the photos). You are doing something wrong if you're not having fun at the Dead Rabbit.See the extensive holiday cocktail menu (last photo). We had many amazing cocktails, but one that blew me away. The location is known for any business that opened there failed. The owners clearly changed history and created a bar that is renowned in the cocktail world. They focus on showcasing Irish culture working with Irish brewers, distillers, artists, writers and more. They fly the flag for contemporary Ireland in a way that treats customers to an experience that is unique and memorable. Here's the story on the name. Irish immigrants were prevalent in Lower Manhattan in the mid-1800's. The Dead Rabbit Gang fought to defend the immigrant Irish underclass against the nativist Bowery Boys. The Dead Rabbits were also a criminal organization with connections in New York politics lead by the legendary John Morrisey. The owners of Dead Rabbit have used the determination and tenacity of their namesakes to create a gem in the cocktail world. They now have locations in Austin and Washington DC. Go check them out. Salute .

Great bar to hang out with friends and grab a few drinks. This time we sat downstairs but we usually like to go upstairs since it's more intimate. The place was busy and full, but we were able to grab a table for 10 in the back. Bunch of us ordered Guinness and few others got the frozen Irish coffee along with cocktails, which was delicious. Great bar bites as well; we ordered the scotch eggs, sausage rolls, fries and popcorn. Definitely recommend!

Stopped in tonight with my son for a couple of burgers, and beers. The place is super packed. We didn't have a reservation. The host said he had a table for us, but he needed it back in 1 1/2 hours. That was no problem. We had the dry aged burgers and fries, and a couple of Dead Rabbit Red Ales. Everything was really good. We will be back.

The Dead Rabbit is a solid bar in lower Manhattan in the Financial District. I have been going for at least a decade and I remember it before the big fire took it out for a couple years. I'm glad they made a full recovery as one of my favorite traditions is to go here every year on Thanksgiving Eve with my friends to partake in holiday drinks and their delicious pot pies. It used to be chicken pot pie originally but now they only serve turkey pot pies. I'm not complaining though, either way both are delicious and that crust is perfection! I personally prefer the downstairs bar area (The Taproom), but if you're looking for something more fancy, the upstairs area with its restaurant and more speakeasy vibe is also fun as well. One of these days I need to come in for brunch and have their Irish breakfast. The food is always on point and I really like the bartenders.Ever since though they've done this Jingle Jangle decoration explosion at Christmas time it's gotten a little bit crazier than I would like, but it's still worth the trip. In the summer months it's pretty empty, but hey so is the rest of the Financial District in general during that time of year. The Dead Rabbit is a great bar in this area of town if you're looking for a good beer on draft, a strong cocktail, or some hearty food I heartily recommend.

FInally made it to this institution of a bar and was actually quite blown away by how great this was. This is an awesome place for really high quality drinks and food near Stone St / FiDi which is not typically bustling with amazing options. The drinks were well balanced, artfully crafted, and really delicious, making it one of my favorite bar finds this year although this place already has quite the reputation. Corned beef sandwich was also top notch! They don't leave it at the drinks, folks, they pay special attention to their food as well. It was tender, salty, savory and is definitely one to remember. Would definitely come back. The vibe is traditional irish bar with sawdust on the ground, dimly lit, and it's quite a big space too with lots of bar seating as well as standing room.

It's Jingle Jangle time at The Dead Rabbit! Had a great dinner there on a busy and lively Friday evening.Got a warm welcome from Casey who recognized us from past visits and was friendly and helpful as always. It was great to have her as our server again (she even remembered what we used to order). The restaurant was nicely decorated and a great selection of drinks for the holidays (we especially liked the After Eight and Cookie Jar)The menu had changed a bit from our last visit. We had the Lamb Shepherd's Pie which was terrific (though we missed the Lamb Stew) and the Atlantic Salmon which was also very good and prepared nicely to a medium rare as we asked for.For dessert, the Sticky Toffee Pudding and Irish Coffee Tiramisu provided a nice finish.Hope to be back again soon!

The Dead Rabbit is a hidden gem that feels like a cozy neighborhood bar with a touch of kitschy charm. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a vintage vibe and dollar bills adorning the walls.I was blown away by the quality of both the food and drinks. The cocktails were expertly crafted, with unique flavor combinations and top-notch ingredients. But what truly stole the show was the Scotch egg - it was hands-down the best I've ever had.If you're looking for a place to enjoy delicious food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, The Dead Rabbit is a must-visit.
