The Corner

Glad there's finally a restaurant that may be in it for the long-run on this corner. As former Bay Ridge residents, we saw a few spots open and close here.Came in shortly after 1pm on Saturday as a walk-in after we couldn't find how to reserve online and were seated right after. The decor is nice and fresh without being over the top.We ordered: a Cuban sandwich which I wouldn't go for in a non-traditional spot, but it was certainly on point, a burger which was yum and the egg was cooked to perfection and crème brûlée French toast. All were honestly great. The only food item that was out of the norm and we wouldn't order again was the Bloody Mary - it's definitely not traditional and not up our alley. Other than this, looking forward to visiting again. The most important components are always: taste, service and cleanliness so we hope this stays consistent!

Dropped in for a spontaneous dinner at the bar and what a wonderful experience! A very ambitious restaurant for Bay Ridge and I hope more like this open up here. I had the Onion Soup, Steak Tartare, a Chocolate Souffle and a Gin 86 cocktail. All were delicious and Angel at the bar, was well, an angel! All of the staff that I interacted with from the front through were very friendly, enthusiastic and welcoming.Nice layout and lighting - very flattering. Great date spot, great spot for regulars as well.Will definitely be back.

4.5 I have been meaning to try this place. I run around the neighborhood with a group on Tuesday evenings and passed by The Corner several times recently. Felt excited when my girlfriend suggested to come for our night out. The atmosphere was intimate with a romantic feel. Our server Joe walked us through the menu and were able to accommodate mocktails for a couple of us. For starters, we shared Scallops (so soft and pillowy), onion soup (sweet), crab cake (mild), and samosas (savory). All were tasty. I had the porterhouse porkchop and I must say the apple was the highlight of the dish. The presentation was beautiful, the cooked apple was shaped as a rose. It was something about the sweetness that goes so well with everything on the plate. Oh, and did I mention the chop was moist? I had taste tests around the table: duck confit was savory and tender and the salmon was opaque and juicy.The vibes were nice, the food was good, and our conversations didn't seem to have an end. We decided to chat some more over desserts. We indulged in hot chocolate (sweet, thick, and warming), chocolate souffle (rich and gooey), affogato (luscious and creamy), and ricotta donuts (warm and fluffy). Joe was friendly with a great sense of humor. We shared quick conversations and laughed in between the busy service. Will definitely be back regularly and would love to see Joe around!

Best fish I've had in a while! Everything was fresh and Delicious Place is super cute but small so make reservations ahead of time, my dirty martini was phenomenal. Staff was super friendly and sweet. Place is classy and Chic

Everything was great. The staff are super friendly and helpful with menu selections. The restaurant is very cute, clean and they had great music playing. Super comfortable neighborhood vibe. We didn't have room for dessert, but this nice older couple next to us highly recommended the ricotta balls! Definitely a go-to if you're in Bay Ridge!

I don't always change my mind but when I do, it's for a reason. Considering how I've watched the restaurant unravel in an upward direction, I had dinner there once more. You can tell how much they've grown in all aspects. First, I'd love to shout out our waitress, Stephanie. She was so fun and lively. She adds to the electricity of the establishment. The tuna was fresh and the sauce was full of flavor. The tartare was made just right. Now the burger... I'm a huge burger gal and let me tell you: this is easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. The texture and flavor from the smashburger was so unexpected-- I was left speechless. My boyfriend loved his steak from the specials. As for drinks, French 75 was delicious and the dirty martini was filthy to perfection. Dessert? I was blown away by the cheesecake. I'm not always into sweets but I licked the plate clean. Bravo!!!! Staff was attentive and the chef made sure to come around to each table and ask about their meal. My one and only comment would be that the French fries can use a little more pizzazz but all in all.... I'm craving their smashburger less than 12 hours after eating it. So you've gained my trust and heart. Thank you for having us!

Food, service and ambience were on point! The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. They had a DJ and the music was so good! Great vibe and energy! Highly recommend and will be back.

The Corner is the newest hot spot in Bay Ridge. This type of restaurant has been exactly what this neighborhood has needed for a long time. The atmosphere, staff, food & drinks are amazing. It feels like you're in NYC without having to sit in crazy traffic. The French onion soup is to die for!!! I've tried both the brunch and dinner and could not recommend it enough. It is quite evident once you taste this food that Chef Thomas and his team know what they're doing. Also, the desserts by pastry chef Amber are out of this world! We also appreciate the general manager & owners checking in with our table to make sure we had everything we needed. It's great to see a restaurant that is not only beautiful but also has good food, drinks & service to back it up. They did a great job & I am looking forward to many more meals here :)

i'd give this place a 3.5 stars. Ambience and service is great. More places like this in bay ridge would be amazing but I did feel the entrees were not very well cooked. They felt super dry but not necessarily overcooked? Especially for the price I expected better. We got the ribeye, duck confit, halibut and lobster. Everything except the duck was dry and tough. The apps weren't bad but nothing that screamed out to me. My favorite was the scallops. Friends got cocktails and said they were good. I'm hoping they can up their entree game because if they do I'll definitely be coming back!

The best restaurant around!! You can't go wrong with any of the dishes. I even brought my mom who only eats vegetarian and the one entree they had for her was probably the best dish we ordered. The service is great and the vibes are even better.
