Pretty good! My favorite dishes were the fried clam and lobster sliders (perfectly fried clams with good Cole slaw but didn't love the fries, which had too much old bay). Other dishes we ordered:- Clam spaghetti: My husband loved it but I thought it was just okay. - Clam chowder: We both loved the strong clam flavor but found the texture to be too watery and not as thick and chowdery as others.- Clam dip: This was not bad either. Good but nothing amazing. - Corn: creamy and a little heavy but not bad.Service was friendly and food was good, just missing the wow factor. But good if you're in the neighborhood!

We came for happy hour and stayed for dinner. You definitely should make a reservation and check out InKind app for discounts. We ordered clams, fries, shishito peppers, corn, lasagna, cocktails, mocktail, and oysters. The menu is diverse and appealing and everything tasted good. It was expensive but I left really satisfied with the food. The pasta definitely took awhile as well. Otherwise a really good time, good food, good atmosphere.

The Clam had been on my list for so many years at this point, that I had simply forgotten about it. However, when I was hunting for a place for a work team lunch, I saw that they happened to have a reservation. I quickly navigated to their website and immediately fell in love with their light, healthy, and varied menu. I booked the reservation and eagerly awaited my meal. The restaurant had a cute and casual vibe inside, as well as a substantial outdoor dining area. We were seated indoors with the semi-open kitchen on one side and a large window on our other side. Our first server seemed nice enough and came by to get our beverage orders, though I stuck with water. A second waiter came by a little after that to write down our food selections. We had requested French fries and the clam dip to start. For my individual main dish, I opted for the Market Plate, selecting Faroe Island Salmon as my protein. I accompanied that with the Za'atar-Roasted Carrots and Shiitake Mushroom Caps as my 2 side dishes. After placing our order, my colleagues and I spent some time catching up, and, after a little bit, our entrees arrived. We carefully pointed out that our appetizers had never appeared. The first server came back to let us know that the staff had made a mistake and to see if we still wanted the starters anyway. We passed on the dip, which was probably a blessing in disguise based on the likely high calorie count, but decided to splurge on the fries, which were thin, crispy, and the perfect golden brown. They had been sprinkled with Old Bay, so they were salty, sweet, and savory. My main dish was also impeccably seasoned. I thought that the salmon was fine, but that both of the vegetables sides were excellent. By this time, we were all happy with our food and on the verge of being full. However, the portions were rather small, and we all wanted something sweet to cover up the fish taste in our mouths. So, we decided to order both the Chocolate Bread Pudding and the seasonal Peach & Blackberry Crisp for dessert. The bread pudding was a bit denser and drier than I usually like, but it was also rich and chocolatey, which saved it in my eyes. It was plated with a crème anglaise, a scoop of chocolate-chocolate chip gelato, and toasted, shaved almonds. Again, I thought the accouterments were the star of the dish. The crisp arrived warm with a sweet, crumbly oat streusel topping and a large mound of mascarpone gelato; it was hearty and delicious.Minus the kitchen snafu, it was largely a good meal that was a prime example of straightforward cooking done properly.

Friendly and knowledgeable service. Great food and enjoyable environment. This trip to the bar was a quick one but I've enjoyed every meal I've had here, both inside out outside. Highly recommended!

Great food, nice ambiance, good service. Slider combo and clam dip were both delicious, as was the wine by the glass. Not the cheapest place in the world, but value is fair for NYC and it's nice enough for special occasions, yet not stuffy in any way. Recommended.

I was quite impressed. Better than average food and a pleasant environment. I started with the oysters which were fresh and tasty. Then had the spaghetti and clams with red sauce. It was good and spicy with both the virtues of comfort food and high quality cooking. Good wine selection as well. The service was good and got us out in time for a concert at nearby St. Luke's in the Field.

I pass by this location all the time so decided to give them a try. The food was pretty good. We had the oysters - east v west. The oysters were good but wish they had Kumamoto. We thought that the skirt steak was a tad over cooked. We ordered a side of French fries which we thought were overpriced on top of being soggy - they tasted like they were just tossed with old bay (fries were $9). I had the scallops which were good but nothing special. We tried all 3 sparkling wines and all were good. Usually I prefer Brut but wasn't a fan of theirs, we agreed the prosecco was the best of the 3. We chose to eat outdoors with the weather being nice which was also a good idea because indoors seemed very cramped.Inside they only have 2 bathrooms but they're well maintained. They lacked attentiveness when it came to things such as water, checking on the food, and the check but overall I would come back.

*PLEASE READ*This review is solely for the service rendered, or lack of ! I came to the clam as a solo party. Nowadays it's not uncommon for people to solo dine, so I'm not sure what happened here. Anyways ! Let me start with the positive. The food is delish, I was here for happy hour turned dinner menu which is exactly what I wanted. I started out with a dozen oysters and 3 shrimp yakitori. U can curate how you'd like to order which is a plus. I ordered the cucumber cooler which was refreshing (& I hate cucumber), to start & then as happy hour progressed I order there white wine & then proceeded to the dinner menuHere's my gripe: again party of one, my waiter did not attend to me. It took him 3 reminders to remember my straw (which contributed to the watering down of a drink) he did not check on me not once. I ended up flagging down his co worker whom I explained that his partner forgot about "baby in the corner". Thankfully, he so kindly stepped in. Although he had his own tables I do appreciate him filling in as he did. Dinner menu: I ordered the clam dip & the lobster & clam sliders, of course more wine & a to go order for the parentals.I packed up the sliders becuz at this point I was very full but again bare minimum of checking in on me. The food I consumed there was delish. The happy hour is solid and then if you get there at the right time it will roll into dinner which has more options. I will be back but I'm sure if the same thing happens again I'll def voice my concerns to management because at that point someone should know. Did I enjoy yesWill I be back sureCould place use some adjusting, absolutely
