The Casual Greek

One of my favorite spots in Midtown! Once you step into the restaurant, something about it makes you feels like you're transported to Greece. I like how it can be a casual meal or a nicer meal out. Started off with complimentary pita and yummy olive dip, which was a nice touch. The zucchini chips here are to die for, highly recommend. I like their grilled chicken sandwich, and gyro pita sandwiches which always hit the spot. Super friendly service!

Craving some Greek, we stumbled upon the Casual Greek which is filled with Greek decor and amazing Greek food. It was not crowded, but served large portions and huge flavors. They gave us free small pita with dips which were super tasty. The short rib mousakka was by far the best I've ever had - packed either lots of slow cooked short ribs and a melted cheesey belchamel sauce without being overwhelming. We also got the zucchini chips and a platter, but by far, the moussaka was the star of our weekday dinner.

The mixed platter for two is no joke. This meat filled platter hit the right spot in every way. It was way too much food for us that we packed the left overs to go. We went home, made some rice the next day and made a full second meal out of the leftovers. The service was quick and very friendly. The decor was nice, clean and bright. The mixed platter allowed us to try a bit of everything and everything was a hit. We will most definitely be visiting this spot again for gyros and other dishes.

I went here with my brother shortly after coming back from Greece (10/10 recommend if you can) and it was so reminiscent of the food I had there. The place reminded me of a greek taverna. The food was incredibly delicious and fresh and I cant wait to go back

An authentic Greek restaurant where you walk in and feel like you're immersed in the culture. The staff is welcoming, attentive and I loved hearing them speak Greek to each other and sometimes singing along to the Greek music. I ordered the Bronzino special with lemon potatoes, absolutely delicious. The fish was filleted perfectly and the potatoes were so savory and tender. Great place with great food!

Fabulous service and gorgeous food. Very friendly and helpful staff. A great restaurant for a family meal.

First time coming here and it did not disappoint. My friend and I shared the zucchini chips to start, the portion was very generous and it was excellent. I got the lamb and beef gyro and my friend got the falafel gyro and both were outstanding. Pricing was reasonable for midtown NYC. Glad to have this new spot in the neighborhood. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Staff was welcoming, the restaurant was decorated nicely had plenty of tables, and a bar. I Ordered falafel platter to go. Menu stated it would come with Tahini and picked onions and beets but my meal was missing these items. Nonetheless, this platter was delicious. I'd come back to order different items to review!

Great food. Friendly staff. Second time there. We felt very appreciated, which is always good. We will be back.

Tried this for take out. We stopped in to pick up our food. Food was really good. Loved the falafel. Plan to try it again in person.
