Amazing speakeasy near midtown East. Literally some of the BEST cocktails I've had in NY so far!! My personal favorite was the gin sour, because I'm a sucker for egg white cocktails. But the Spanish coffee was a close second-- it was a complex take on an espresso-based cocktail!Service was great and ambiance was fantastic and very date-night. I'll definitely be back!

Hidden beyond a food court, The Boardroom transports you to a speakeasy with moody green walls, dark wood, and vintage decor. The skilled bartenders craft well-balanced cocktails that favor tequila over whisky a tad in my opinion. While technically proficient, the drinks lack the memorable uniqueness that would make them standouts. Drinks are easily $25 each but I think it includes tip. The space offers comfortable seating with tables, booths, and a bar area perfect for watching cocktail preparation. Though a solid speakeasy experience, it doesn't quite measure up to the more innovative and impressive establishments you'll find in the East Village. Worth a visit for the atmosphere, but seasoned speakeasy enthusiasts might find it just alright.

I've been here with my colleagues on a couple occasions now for after dinner drinks, as it's close to the hotel we usually stay at when we're in town for investor meetings. I appreciate the fact they have booth seating and tasty cocktails. The service is decent, though inconsistent. Be aware that this place is nondescript, and easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for (enter through the building's glass doors, go down the stairs, and the bar will be to your left - you'll see a hostess stand).

Cool speakeasy on the east side with good cocktails and some light bar food options (mini chicken wings, fries, guacamole, etc.) but it is VERY loud. You have to shout just to hear each other. I came with a friend to catch up and chat so we left after one drink for somewhere quieter. I did quite enjoy the Paloma I got along with the mini wings, fries and guacamole. It's located in the lower level of the Hugh food court. One side of the hall has a sign for the Boardroom - once you find that sign, go to the complete opposite side of the hall (go figure). Look for the NY post newspaper stand and it's the non descriptive black door beside it.

I came here a few weeks ago with my friends and it didn't disappoint. I had made a reservation beforehand and it was easy enough to get a time slot we wanted. The space itself is inside of the Hugh (an upscale food court) and it's on the lower level and hidden away. The ambiance is really nice with a 1950's feel to it with lots of dim lighting and a beautiful long bar alongside lots of booth seating. The service was excellent, our bartender was super knowledge and the cocktails we all got were very good and perfectly balanced (imagine it done, charlottes dilemma and an espresso martini). I would absolutely come back here again the next time I'm in midtown.

Tucked away, art deco vibe sort of bar. Not very big, but a cool little space. There are a good amount of cocktails. They are a bit more complex than your classics (they do have classics as well). The drinks were pretty strong and decently tasty. But not anything that was extremely memorable or special. No concentrated syrups, no crazy flavors, etc. But they are good, and the prices are reasonable.

One of the best cocktail bars I have ever been to! We were staying in midtown for a couple of nights and I happened to see this place on Yelp near our hotel. It did not disappoint. Every drink we had was amazing and the staff were even more amazing. The ambiance is wonderful- dimly lit with candles serving as the main source of light and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design of the interior. I am a bourbon lover and it was pretty cool to find Stagg out in the wild. The black manhattan is not to be missed! We will be back every time we come to the city. Thanks to all the staff who made our night such an amazing one!

One of my go-to spots after a long day! The bar snacks, drinks, and staff are consistently top-notch. I especially appreciate how they recognize familiar faces and are upfront about the automatic gratuity. Sure, the drinks are on the pricier side, but it's Midtown--what else would you expect?

What a beautiful speakeasy tucked inside the food court. We opted to sit by the bar to chat with the bartenders. They were very helpful in recommending drinks. The cocktail menu was extensive, offering many options. The cocktails we ordered were beautifully presented, tasty, and spirit-forward. Though the price tag was high, it reflected the drink's complexity.

$30 for a mediocre overly sweet cocktail! Yes, the cocktail was $25 with $4 mandatory tip. For that price, the drinks should be high quality. The inside has a speakeasy vibe, located inside the Hugh food court. Difficult to find because the address gives a nondescript office building that had the door locked. When you descend into the food court, the entrance is a door with no sign. We had to ask security where the place was. Eh..not impressed.
