In the classy historic Beakman hotel in Fidi you'll find a delicious restaurant called Temple Court. It is a top notch establishment, where the staff anticipate your needs and are attentive. We enjoyed the caviar and steak and fish. Desserts were also delicious!

Went here for restaurant week. Want to take your date on a cute and romantic spot. This could be the spot. Look at all the chandeliers, stained glass, and dimmed lighting. It's perfect for a romantic date. The only problem is ... A lot of the food that we ordered were on the saltier end. We overheard the table next to us having the same issue and the staff was really professional and apologetic about it. So they offered to take it back and re-prepare it to their liking. Additionally, the staff was really friendly. However, I think this is a check it out once for me, especially for this price point. We ordered:Complimentary sweet potato soupAppetizer:BurrataChestnut AgnolittiHamachi Crudo Entree:Braised Lamb ShoulderGrilled Prime Hanger SteakSides:Creamed SpinachPotato PureeDessert:Matcha Olive Oil CakeChocolate Mille FeuillePassionfruit Semifreddo

Go here for the drinks and the vibe ONLY.The food is terrible. Both dishes we ordered were over cooked and very dry. Even if cooked to the right temperature the flavor still would have been lack luster. The soup has to have been the worst part of the meal. It left a lingering flavor that did not dissipate even when chased with copious amounts of strong alcohol. I would not recommend eating any of the food. It is absolutely not worth the $$$$.

Came here for jazz brunch on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately they play music through the overhead speakers while the jazz band is playing ?????? It was so odd and rude to the band honestly. also dont advertise a jazz brunch and have other music playing. just weird! The seating was odd to say the least. The chairs were all SO low compared to the tables and sunk down even more when you sat on them. We were chest level with the table. I could barely reach my food. We got the French toast to share which was divine! definitely recommend. i got an almond milk latte that was also really well done. we got the egg white omelette and it was one of the best ive ever had. i was worried it would be dry and it was not. my brother ordered the ancient grain& sunny side up egg and said it was good but nothing special. also he asked for sugar with his coffee and they did not bring a spoon to stir it with! for a higher end establishment this was a strange thing to miss. the single restroom sink did not work. the wait staff is fine. not very personable. all business. we are glad we went for the experience. the jazz was great we just wish there wasn't music playing over it. would go back and just get coffee and a light bite maybe. but i think this place is trying to present itself as high end and worth $$$$ but its just a regular $$/$$$ spot dressed up in fancy clothes.

We had a reservation for Friday evening for restaurant week. It wasn't busy when we arrived but it filled up later in the night. The restaurant is dimly lit but each table has their own lamp. The service was very attentive and they checked on us multiple times throughout the night. I got the octopus, scallops with pork belly ($10 extra), and the matcha olive oil cake. My friend go the hamachi, pork chop and the chocolate mille feuille They started us off with bread and a sweet potato soup with smoked apple oil. The soup was very creamy and the smoked apple oil was distinct. We enjoyed the meal. The pork belly and pork chop was too fatty for us, but otherwise everything had a great flavor, was well prepared, and a decent portion size. The cake was good, but didn't have a distinct matcha or olive oil flavor.

Decided to stop into this spot because of the Christmas atmosphere and stayed for amazing drinks and food. The staff was fantastic and friendly. The atrium above the dining area is an impressive sight. The tree and lights make it such a fun festive experience. The cocktails were fantastic. The vesper and beekman old fashioned were particular favorites. The onion dip and red pepper dip were both great accompaniments. Fun for holiday get togethers.

If you want to see the most beautiful atrium in all of NYC, without spending a night at the Beekman, visit the Bar Room at Temple Court. It's a little confusing since there are many names for the same place (I.e. Bar room, Beekman, Temple Court). The architecture is STUNNING and the ambiance is very lovely. Reception was very helpful and we were seated immediately. The drinks really weren't anything special and I forgot to take a picture of it since I spent the duration staring up into the atrium.

Returned to Temple Court and had a nice early Mother's Day dinner. The Foie Gras appetizer was excellent as well as the Duck and Striped Bass entrees. Had the Lemon Meringue Pie, Cookies & Cream Semifreddo and Chocolate Ganache Tart - all were great finishes with perhaps the Semifreddo standing out the most.Service was friendly and impeccable as always.

Celebrated my birthday dinner here while visiting the city. The food was delicious. Beautiful ambiance and great service. I was greeted with a birthday card from our server. Nice Touch!Only downside of the meal was that they were out of the drink I wanted (John F. Fitzgerald) but what I did order instead, the Pablo neruda was good! For dinner I had the grilled hanger steak and this was super flavorful and tender. I enjoyed this meal. Others in our group had the pork chop and the braised lamb shank. We all enjoyed our meals and cocktails. For dessert they brought out a mango cheesecake which was very delicious and flavorful. A sweet tasting and beautiful dessert. Thanks for making my birthday dinner so enjoyable!

Probably the most over rated and expensive fine dining experience I've ever had. We had a fixed menu and my salad was just a mess, from the freshness to the appearance. My second course was very good, my entree of Halibut was over cooked and it an odd sauce. My desert was also very average. With 2 bottles of wine ($250 total) our check came to $800 including tip. I've eaten at Michelin rated restaurants for less with better food. Pretty disappointing to spend an evening out for the quality of food that was served. I would also add, it was very loud in the restaurant so if intimate is what you are looking for, I would avoid Temple Court.
