Taqueria El Buen Gusto

I order beef tacos from them every week. They deliver on time, and food always warm. Delivery service is super. You can also sit inside and eat any Mexican food you love. Absolutely nice place to visit and enjoy the beef fajitas.

Went to get some dinner sandwiches from this place. I enjoy this place for their tortas. I ordered my dinner for pick up and they stated it would be ready in about 15-20 minutes which was great cause Thats when I would be be nearby. I went in paid and got my food. The food was fresh, the tomatos and avocado were good. The refried beans and cheese where sooo god and the breaded chicken was great. I wish there was more chicken but the size of this sandwich was very filling. I recommend for anyone getting this sandwhich to add their favorite (hot) sauce.

Don't know where to start. This isn't my first time ordering food from here but it's my first time leaving a review. I got delivery this time and ordered 3 tacos (Cecina, Steak, Al Pastor) and a Torta of Milanes de Res (Breaded Beef).Delivery took about 35 min and I'm relatively close, I know they get busy. But my food arrived warm and packaged nicely! About the food though, they are definitely generous with portion and how much they stuff. The taste is right on the money, not over or under, everything tasted just right. Let the pictures speak for themselves. Very authentic flavor and feel from this place. Don't sleep on this spot.

Great hidden gem of a local Mexican restaurant. There's nothing fancy here, just fantastic, authentic Mexican food.When it comes to Mexican food, Sheepshead Bay is not somewhere that immediately pops into someone's head, but this is one neighborhood joint that is worth the time and money. I initially found Taqueria El Buen Gusto on where else, Yelp, and I saw that it had 4 stars, which was great, except the fact that it only had 14 short reviews, so my skepticism meter was at a high. However, after some reading into the reviews, we decided to take a chance and are we glad we did!We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon at about 1:30pm and noticed how tiny the place really was. There were three 4-person tables and one 2-person table by the door and that's it. It was basically the size of a local Americanized Chinese restaurant. We walked in and took a seat at the 2-person table as the other 4-person tables were all occupied already. We saw that the menus were on the counter, so we took a few and were greeted by a nice lady who told us to go ahead and take a look at them. The menu was pretty limited compared to other Mexican restaurants we had been to, specifically in Sunset Park. There were 7 types of tacos in all, tortas, cemitas, quesadillas, burritos, salads, a limited number of entrée plates, fajitas and drinks. OK, so the menu wasn't extremely small, but still small relatively speaking.After reviewing the menu, we were tempted to get an entrée, but the options were really limited there and we weren't sure if it was going to be any good, so we went the safer route and ordered tacos. The both of us decided to order 4 tacos each, including the Bistec (steak), Pollo Asado (grilled chicken), Al Pastor (roast pork), Carnitas (fried pork), Carne Enchilada (spicy pork meat) and Longoniza (Mexican sausage). To summarize, the tacos were excellent and huge! For just $2.50, these tacos were so worth it and I definitely felt we got the best bang for our buck with the amount of meat included into each taco. They were the most filling tacos I ever had anywhere and we both probably could have went with 3 and been satisfied. The meats were all flavorful and most of them were very juicy, except the Pollo Asado, which was on the drier side, as expected. Each taco came with sliced radishes and cucumbers on the side, with slices of avocado, chopped onions and cilantro inside each. Our favorites and the most juiciest were probably the pork tacos and the Longoniza. Besides the tacos, we ordered 2 shakes - Strawberry and Banana - and they were good too. None of that powdered shake stuff as they were genuinely blended with just fruit and milk.There were a few issues though, but nothing to do with the actual flavor of the food themselves. At first, they brought me my 4 tacos, but my wife only received 3, so they left 1 out accidentally and we had to call over the waitress. Eventually, they brought out the missing taco. In addition, they messed up the orders as I received one of my wife's tacos and she received one of mine. Honestly, no big deal and correctable honest mistakes.Overall, we couldn't have been happier coming to Taqueria El Buen Gusto. Although there are a few Mexican restaurants in the Sheepshead Bay area (Tacos El Rey on Coney Island Ave and El Mexicano on Avenue U), Taqueria El Buen Gusto is the winner in my books. Even though we had been to the other two Mexican restaurants in Sheepshead Bay, I always felt they weren't on par with the quality of food of the restaurants in Sunset Park. However, with Taqueria El Buen Gusto, I now know we don't have to go far if we want really good Mexican food like the ones in Sunset Park.

Let me tell you, Taqueria El Buen Gusto was really epic. Truly enjoy the atmosphere and pleasant service. Every single thing I've tried up until now has been marvelous. Staff - one of nicest people I've seen who would always accommodate your needs. We will definitely be going back here.

BEST TACO PLACE IN NYC as a matter fact I'm the Eastern USA!! Every time I go it's the best mouth watering food I eat this place almost everyday

The food here is here honestly good tasting. I decided to give this place a shot when I was craving Mexican food. The first time I ordered I had a great experience. Unfortunately this time it took over an hour to be delivered and I live 5 blocks away. The delivery guy kept calling me to tell me he's at my door but when I came out and he wasn't there I tried to ask him if he's in the right place and he hung up. I called him back he picked up and hung up on me again while I'm trying to explain where I am. Finally he arrives with my food sideways very agitated telling me to pay. He snatches my money gives me exact change and leaves without saying a word. This guy had something up his ass so I won't be ordering from them again. Bad attitude and an hour wait for 4 tacos..

My bf introduced me to this spot since I moved to Brooklyn and I love it!The food tastes amazing and authentic. We always order tacos de carne asada( steak tacos) and a cheese quesadilla. The food is always well garnished and provided with two kinda of hot sauce.

I love their al pastor tacos! They definitely aren't stingy with their portions and delivery was prompt.

I can only say "¡verdad!" to the other posted reviews. The food tasted authentic, prices were very reasonable, and service was fast. I had the Mole enchiladas and if they used Doña Maria's sauce, it was enhanced with enough of their own spices to make it taste like my abuelita was in their kitchen. My husband had quesadillas con pollo asada whidj was tasty and seasoned just right. The verde and rojo salsas had quite the kick and were delicious. I'll be in nyc three more days and I expect I'll visit there again before I leave. If you don't live in the Brighton beach area, it's a worth the train ride just to try this wonderful food. However, if you live in Brighton beach, they deliver for FREE. My mouth is still watering. I have no photos because I wolfed it down before I thought about the review.
