Located in K-town, this cozy spot is often very busy. The inside of the restaurant is intimate, close, and casual. Service was really fast for food and polite. The menu here has some Korean classics, such as seafood pancake and braised pork belly, but there are also some fun fusion dishes, such as corn pancake and cod roe seafood udon. I ordered the braised pork belly, Korean army stew, and cod roe seafood udon. You also get complimentary ddeokbokki here, which was delicious and very saucy! All of the food we ordered was phenomenal. The Korean army stew was a huge portion full of meats and noodles. The cod roe seafood udon was creamy and full of seafood. And the dish that stood out the most to me was the braised pork belly. It was thick, juicy, and had delicious sauces and fresh veggies to enjoy it with. Highly recommend this spot!

When you first walk in you'll notice the simple/sleek vibe of the place, with decent acoustics and a surprisingly spacious dining area. This spaciousness is welcome because I think Take31 is best experienced with a group. This restaurant is perfect for family-style eating, you'll want to get a few bites from the wide variety of delicious dishes available, a great foray into New York-chic Korean cuisine. Sharing a round of their signature Makgulli is a great way to start the experience. After that, certain dishes like the Chapaguri are a must for me, but you really can't go wrong, and the staff will give great recommendations if needed.The one downside is that it does feel a bit overpriced if you're going as 1-2 people, but that's all the more reason to go with a group.

While I was tucked away in a more conservative corner to eat, I still experienced great service! The vibes are more informal I would say- definitely a pocha vibe. The menu wasn't too big (didnt have a large selection of dishes), however there was enough diversity to find something that youre craving. I had the delight of trying three dishes, all of which I was a fan of:)My favorite would have to be the wasabi cream chicken! I used the whipped wasabi cream for some of the other dishes as well~ Added a nice sweet and potent kick, without being overwhelming. Second place would be the braised pork belly. Can't really go wrong with this, it was straight to the point with the iteration of bossam. Super yummy, but just know you don't get too many pieces (or maybe I was just greedy for more). Out of the three, my 3rd place dish would be the Prime short rib chapaguri. The chapaguri gave me a nostalgic feel referencing the quick easy meal made at home, but the generous amount of prime short rib made it so savory! Dipped some pieces into the wasabi cream and it was delicious. Would definitely come back to try more stuff, their cocktails and desserts looked good:)

I visited Take31 on a late Friday evening and appreciated their late-night hours, perfect for good dining after hours. The ambiance was nice, and the service was solid throughout our meal.What we ordered: * Seafood & Scallion Pancake * Garlic Crusts and Spicy Crispy Chicken * Cod Roe Seafood UdonEach order also came with complimentary tteokbokki. It was just okay, but since it was free, I didn't have high expectations.The standout dish of the night was definitely the garlic crusts and spicy crispy chicken. It had just the right amount of spice to give it a kick without being overpowering. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the garlic added a flavorful touch that made it delicious. The seafood & scallion pancake was underwhelming. I've had similar or better quality at other Korean restaurants. It could've been crispier, and the serving size was quite small for the price.The cod roe seafood udon was also delicious. It was creamy, flavorful, and packed with a good amount of seafood. Definitely a dish I'd recommend!Take31 is a good spot for late-night Korean food, and I would come back!

Overall good food and experience! I've been to sister restaurant Her Name is Han multiple times but this was my first time trying Take31. Best to get a reservation ahead of time, as the restaurant was already quite busy when we went in the early evening.The crispy corn pancake and army stew were my highlights; the stew was a much-needed antidote to the chilly weather! The pork belly rice crepe was hyped up online but not my favorite. The meat was a little tough and the "crepe" wrapper was a pretty sticky texture, so I would recommend you pick something else. I've heard the braised pork belly is great.While you don't get banchan here, don't sleep on the complimentary tteokbokki (with refills)! The food we ordered was more than enough for 3 people and we had leftovers.Good service - water jar was always filled, food arrived quickly, and server was helpful advising how much to order. Narrow and cozy space much like at Her Name is Han, but a little more casual here. For about $30 per person total, I think it's worth a visit! I am definitely returning to try the makgeolli.

A Ktown spot that's worth the wait! It's always super busy here so make sure to come early and put your name on the list. They give this complimentary tteokbokki which is arguably better than a lot of tteokboki that I have actually paid for - love that the sauce has a kick to it! For drinks, I would recommend getting their signature maekgoelli - it's so light and refreshing, I could easily down multiple glasses. For food - I love the toomba pasta (this might be limited edition since I went during their pop up), crispy corn pancake and any of the hot pots.

Stopped by without a reservation for 3 on a XYZ and were seated pretty much immediately (had a table cleared and prepped).Ordered the following:Crispy corn pancake 5/5!! - very tasty, caramelized layer of corn with a dusting of finely grated cheese (parm??)Spicy Tofu and Mala Hotpot 4/5 - Pretty standard soup, but large in quantity and very good for sharingPork Belly Rice Crepe Wrap 3.5/5 - combo of sweet and salty, soft and crispy, hot and cold. An interesting and not bad combo with the injeolmi (soybean powder), but not sure if I'd order again. The cold rice skin wrapper lent a decrease in temp to the pork belly, as well as made it less crisp.Tteok obvi 5/5 because freeee - no further commentChestnut makgulli 5/5 - yum, we love an alcoholic drink that does not taste like alcohol.Overall, really enjoyed the little bites and drinks, but the main entrees were just ok. Waitstaff is very fashionable, but at times, felt like they were a little ~too cool~ to be there. Not a bad place for dinner, but better spots in the area, especially if you prep with a reservation.

First of all, Take31 was accommodating when I made multiple changes with my reservations including when two people in our party were running 20 minutes late, but seated us right when the full party arrived. As a large party, they allocated 2 hours for us but never had us check out even when we stayed longer. To start off, we had two carafes of the homemade signature makgulli (Korean rice wine) ($17.95) --one in white peach and one in chestnut flavor. The flavors were very light that you hardly taste it, but they were refreshing and easy to drink. Note that they are ice shaved, so they have more of a smoothie consistency. All tables also had complimentary tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), which was great when you're hungry before the food arrives.Between the 7 of us, we ordered the Chicken Gizzard with Honey Garlic Butter ($15.95), Crispy Corn Pancake ($15.95), Pork Belly Rice Crepe Wraps ($25.95), Cod Roe Seafood Udon ($23.95), Shortrib Chapaguri ($20.95), Spicy Galbi Stew ($32.95). This was the perfect amount for us to each have a few bites. The favorites were definitely the noodle dishes and the stew. The rest of the appetizers were still good, but would try some other items next time. The rice crepe was a bit grainy though, which was interesting.This is a great spot for big parties to share, but be sure to make reservations for Friday and Saturay nights. We ended up spending under $35pp, which is such a great deal for delicious Korean food.

One of the most popular Korean restaurants in NYC. Wait times can get really long so make sure to come early! Some of my favorites are the pollack roe omelette, seafood pancake, and hotpot stew. The pork belly rice crepe wraps however were underwhelming. The texture of gooeyness with already fatty pork did not work for me. Regardless, everything else was delicious and great to share among 3-4 people. The prices however are a bit steep for the portion size

Amazing Cod Roe Seafood Udon!!! Such creamy, delicious udon noodles. Best I've had in a while. The Pork Belly Rice Crepe Wrap is unique and tasty - I can see why people order it. Not a bad pick either.Can skip the rice ball with tofu it was kind of bland.
