No-frill place where you can enjoy some tasty food at great prices. I've been coming to Taiwan Pork Chop House for a long time, since it was called Excellent Pork Chop House, and I've never been disappointed. On a recent visit I on a cold winter Saturday I had the opportunity to enjoy an excellent noodle soup with pork and pickled mustard greens, alongside, a pork chop noodle soup with wide noodles, plus salt and pepper chicken and a jellyfish salad.Food arrived incredibly fast[1], piping hot.Food is served on plastic dishes with plastic utensils, water is in plastic cups and tea in paper cups.-----------------------[1] Seriously, almost immediately after the waitress took our order.

I order for takeout at least once a month to stock up my fridge for days I really don't feel like cooking and their quality is still so consistent!Usually get the popcorn chicken, pork chop or fried rice but the pork chop is my favourite thus far. It pairs really well with the sour pickles that it comes with.Portions are pretty big for what you're paying for and it's a no frill kind of place so don't expect a Michelin star experience. However, you will get to experience 5* quality food that will remind you of your mum's cooking or back home in Taiwan!

A foodie's dream near Metrograph! Taiwan Pork Chop House3 Doyers St, New York, NY 10013Most items on the menu are under $10 -- definitely my go-to no-brainer spot after a movie. You have to try their new menu item 肉圆 (rouyuan). The soft, thick, and chewy wrapper is packed with juicy pork, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots--perfectly seasoned and hitting all the right flavor notes.Craving street food vibes? The Taiwanese sausage, salt & pepper chicken, fried pork cutlets, and oyster omelette will transport you straight to a bustling Taiwanese night market! All the deep-fried goodness comes freshly fried and piping hot--don't rush or you might burn your tongue! Special shoutout to the oyster omelette, generously loaded with veggies and dotted with plump, juicy oysters--pure comfort on a plate.Need some carbs? Go for the dumplings in red chili oil. They're not fiercely spicy, but the vibrant red oil adds just the right kick and color. Plus, those wrinkly wrappers are silky smooth, tightly hugging the savory meat filling for the perfect bite. Finally, treat yourself to taro balls--the best in the city! Bouncy, chewy, and perfectly paired with sweet mango chunks, shaved ice, and raisins. It's the ultimate refreshing way to end your meal!

4 people ate for $40 and had lots of leftovers. Wontons were great. The scallion pancake was very light on the scallions. The food arrived hot and fast. The portions are generous. We should have ordered the pork chops because it's known for that, but our group leaned more towards chicken. Very much a hole in the wall, but it's clean. Also, cash only!

Easy to get to in Chinatown. Prices are more than reasonable. They have outdoor seating, weather permitted. Plenty of seatings inside as well. Waitresses speak both canto and mandarin. They are friendly as long as you order fast, eat fast and get out fast lol they take cash only and also zelle but shhhhh. Get that fried pork chop for sure and try their (maybe) homemade chili oil! Tip: always add an egg for $.75!

A unique place in Chinatown that brings the protein.Perhaps it shouldn't come as a surprise that this place serves meat, and lots of it. It does well to balance the protein with a generous amount of vegetables and rice alongside your order. The pork chop I got was not too dry or overly seasoned, common issues that other pork chops can have. Everything comes in one circular plastic container that is easy to take out.The interior and seating is similar to what you'd expect out of a hole-in-the-wall fair in Chinatown. Unsure of how its passing food safety standards but well worth it.The only complaint is that they only have takeout container, even if you are sitting in. I do wish they could reduce some plastic waste, even if it is just a few dinner plates.

Pre-tip: Cash only! (Zelle maybe if the owner allows)This restaurant sits on the same curvy walking street that Nom Wah is on -- super central location in Chinatown and a quaint restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating, provided the weather is nice. The restaurant only serves a few things on their menu that they are good at - of course, the main dish being the pork chops! My sister and I visited on a weekend around lunch time, and we waited about 10 minutes for a table indoors. The place was packed but the turnaround is decently quick as most people come in to eat and then take out and leave. We both ordered the fried pork chops with noodle soup and added an egg for 0.75 cents. The fried pork chops come on the side with a bowl of noodle soup. Very decent portion for the price! I loved how tender the pork chops were, and they were definitely the highlight of the meal. While I personally enjoy the fried pork chops with rice more, the noodle soup was a welcome change for a cold day. I haven't had the chance to try the desserts and other side dishes here yet, but I will be back! I definitely recommend others to come here for a quick lunch or dinner. The location is great, price is just right, and the restaurant is a no-frills eatery. Easy to order, quick to get the food, eat, and leave.

I've passed by this place a number of times & few weeks ago saw a lot of local looking people coming & decided to follow them, Glad i did! I ordered pork chop & sea weed appetizer. All soo good & affortable. they gave me free hot tea on a paper cup, which i appreciated. Service is fast, waitstaff is attentive. They got outdoor seating, perfect for warmer weather. Reminds me of those sidewalk eateries in Asia. They got bathrooms, cash only i think. Love this no frills spot in busy Chinatown.

I always love coming here because the service is really kind, the food comes out quick and hot, and the prices are so affordable!I will admit this is probably not the best spot for a first date. There is no music playing so you will be enveloped in the noises that your fellow patrons decide to emit that day. For me, the best items to get must be pork chop adjacent. I'm giving a 4 because I've had some misses here when I stray too far from their pork chops. My recommendations are:- pork chop with rice- pork chop with noodle soup- spicy wontons- fried chickenI would also recommend the wheat noodles. The rice noodles tend to get over cooked. I think their veggie dishes are great too! Just not the veggie forward entrees. This place us definitely a top eat in Manhattan by taste alone. Excited to go back and maybe will their dessert a try.
