Sweetie’s K-Chicken

I've been following Jinny on TikTok before she opened this shop because how entertaining of a dancer she was and how cute she was with her spouse. When I saw she started to post tiktoks of her opening this shop and then finding out about Sweetie's I knew I had to try this place at least once! I unfortunately live in queens and know this place is located in Brooklyn so it's been living in my bookmarks forever. But I was lucky to know this weekend that Brooklyn mirage had a pop up for Sweetie's and I made it a point to ask the moment I got in for Sunday Illenium when they were closing- so I was able to pick some chicken up before I left which by the recommendation of the staff, I got the honey butter chicken poppers! It was the best thing my mouth has touched for a hot minute. I also recommend they're amazing in delicious sauces!! And I've been thinking about the chicken since...so as I write this review I'm ordering the honey chicken poppers AND the gochujang to be delivered by uber eats. I can't wait to eat more of it because it's that addicting!!

It was fine. Good fast casual place. Not the best I've ever had, but if you want Korean chicken or a Korean corn dog, this will meet the craving. I passed this place a few times and wanted to try it. I got the soy garlic wings. I like that you can get them spicy or hot. I didn't get any sides with them, tho I wish I did. They were good enough but kinda bland just eating them alone. I also got a Korean corn dog which was good. They have several sauces at the table but if you're taking your order to go, there's no little containers you can use to fill up sauces in. You need to buy them, which kinda sucks.

The dogs were pretty good to try, but the ratio of sausage to cheese was a little off. Honestly the highlight was the soy chicken... one of the best chicken popcorns that I've ever had. Highly recommend getting it!

This place is super chill clean easy to find. You can't miss the two cute faces hanging on the side of the awning. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great made fresh and super delicious. I purchased the soy garlic chicken bowl and the spicy soy garlic poppers and two beverages and spent a total of 42.48 it was a good portion and so worth it!

I've been wanting to try out this place so randomly stopped by here for lunch. I got the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken Bowl. The chicken was actually so delicious and great quality. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy on the inside. I tried all their fun sauces, but was honestly not super impressed. They were almost too saucy/creamy and took away from the chicken. The original soy garlic flavor on the chicken is perfect as is!

One of our favorite Korean fried chicken spots in New York! I also did not expect this, but the tteokbokki is legit, better than anything we've tried in K-town.

So good mane. The chicken is crunchy, flavorful, and juicy. The gochujang is sweet, spicy, and nicely salted. Overall a delicious meal. The ambiance is cute and someone clearly thought a lot about it. Highly recommend !!

I went on a Saturday night around 5pm. There was only one person working in the front and maybe 1 or 2 in the kitchen so the food came out slowly, but I didn't mind the wait because the food was good. There's a few tables to sit at, but it seems like mostly a takeout spot, since many drivers came to pick up food. Their sauces suited the flavors of their fried food, since they were all sweet. My favorites were the Spicy Cheddar Cheese and Spicy Honey Mustard. I would come back to try their other dishes. * Original and Potato Corn Dog - 8.5/10 - I like the half sausage and half mozzarella combo, and the cheese pull was perfect! The outside was super crispy, but it's a bit greasy and heavy. * Chicken Sandwich Combo - 9/10 - I wish they would use a chicken breast or thigh instead of tenders, because the small tenders kept falling out of the sandwich. The combination of the coleslaw and sauce went well with the fried chicken, and the fries were pretty crispy.

Came in the last hour of closing and there was still people coming in to order. The sign says 10-15 minutes wait but it came out much quicker than that. It was piping hot! I got the 8 piece crispy wings. They had sauces throughout the place to put on the KFC. The wings were very crisp, juicy, and meaty. I used the spicy cheddar sauce the whole time. It was spicy and sweet. I really didn't taste the cheddar.
