Best experience ever and the friendliest staff! They were so accommodating as we stumbled into the restaurant. The sushi was fresh, innovative and delicious. You can compare this to any Michelin star restaurants but this place has the intimacy of friendship. I enjoyed the quiet and sleek ambiance. It's a place you have to experience when you are in NYC!

One of the better options for a sub $70 omakase. Affordable, but doesn't skimp on quality. Each bite is better than the last and handcrafted right in front of you by a great chef! Very chic interior and make sure to sit at the counter for the authentic experience.

Ah yes, Sushi on Jones... previously known for their $50 12-course omakase. Just so you're aware, they now charge $68 before tax and tip. We made a reservation and chose the sushi bar seating. Service was VERY slow to start. It looked like they had a lot of takeout orders to fill, which left us twiddling our thumbs for around 15 minutes. I won't lie, I was a little annoyed at that since they advertise this as a 45-minute omakase, but it was closer to 70 minutes from start to finish. The sushi was decent, but the size of each piece was small (I'd say 30% smaller than your average nigiri). Sushi on Jones actually reminds me a lot of Sushi by Bou. It's an affordable option, but at this price point, it'd be more cost-effective to go to Domo Domo - bigger pieces, similar fish quality, and more food, for a similar price.

Sushi on Jones' Omakaze 58$ course is a must-try. The 12 pieces of chef's selection were a burst of flavors, and the reasonable price is a pleasant surprise. Just be aware of the cautious 45-minute time limit - it adds an exciting twist to the dining experience, ensuring you enjoy every bite efficiently. A delicious adventure with a touch of culinary mindfulness!

The crispy rice roll was the best I ever had! Like seriously it was delicious melt in your mouth served slightly warm so the rice is crispy but not rip the top of your roof crispy. It also smells delicious! We tried some of waygu rolls with uni but I thought those were just ok this place is also kind of pricey but I would come back to try the omakase menu.

My fiancé and I were excited to try this place. We saw that their omakase was $58 so we were sold! We made a resy for our first day landing in the city. When we arrived it was empty, no one at the bar area and pretty empty dining room. We sat down and ordered. We wanted to get the 12 course because we wanted to leave room for a post sushi meal. The fish was fresh, don't get me wrong. However, their was no WOW factor of how these fish were prepared. The fish didn't have much flavor. Either we had this place overhyped or it was just not impressive.

Best little hole in the wall traditional Japanese Omakase experience ever! I the sushi was fresh and melted in your mouth and the chef served every course at a great pace. We arrived on a Friday night to our 8:30pm reservation and it seemed like someone was already seated using our name. The wait staff realized the mishap and quickly amended the situation. They cleared the area so my friend and I can have an amazing experience while watching our nigiri be prepared. We were the last seating and they gave us complimentary miso soup and for $68 omakase I cannot complain!! $68 for 12 piece omakase. Can't get any better than this in the city.

A $120 omakase per person with 20 pieces?!? Yes please!! It was such a good price for what we got! I loved all of the pieces we got. Everything was so fresh and flavorful! My favorite were the two uni. The uni was so soft, creamy and flavorful. I loved the barracuda! I have never tried this fish and it was charred and perfect! Another memorable piece was the scallop. It was so creamy and had a perfect bite to it. I was most excited for the Kobe with uni on top, but It actually was not my most favorite. I felt like the Kobe beef was to tough and I wanted it to be more on the raw side, but it was cooked way too much. I would want to go back 100%! The service was great. They made sure they explained what each piece was and they were very attentive to what we needed.

Delicious!!! Made reservations here on a Friday night with 2 other friends and got a seat inside at the bar. I ordered the 12 course omakase and a Bigmac. A 30 minute omakase experience?! I'm in. I really enjoyed all of the fish. It tasted super fresh and it's always cool watching the chefs work their magic at the sushi bar. I'm docking a star because this location feels a little claustrophobic inside and they don't serve cocktails. I'd not recommend eating here with a group larger than 4. That said, their outdoor booths are a nice alternative and their other locations serve drinks. If this were as expensive as some other omakase alternatives, I would probably only give Sushi on Jones 4 stars, but for affordable this place is I definitely think the quality is worth leaving 5. The Big Mac is an a la crate sushi with Wagyu, toro, and uni. Heaven in a bite! I'd recommend!

Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Experience: 5/5My bf and I love Sushi on Jones and it's become one of our favorite casual omakase spots. Both managers who work there are incredibly hospitable and we really enjoy the company of the sushi chef. We continue to go back here because the experience never disappoints, the service is great, and the food is even better. There is limited seating so it's best to get a res and I would highly recommend the bar to watch the chef prepare the fish. All the fish is incredibly fresh and the chef has created an excellent menu. If you order the omakase there is nigiri that you can't find on the menu that the chef specially added. We always go for the omakase and add more if we're still hungry. We have already been here a few times on dates or with friends and will definitely be going back in the future. What we ordered:* 12 course omakaseThings to know:* make a res, late night is usually not too busy* this location is BYOB* omakase is great but they also do rolls* for the winter the seating is enclosed and "indoors"Full menu for all locations on website: https://www.sushionjones.com/menus/#bowery
