Celebrated my birthday with my fiance, and I loved the omakase experience here. As others have noted, the premium selection ($128pp) is worth it for the extra pieces and experience, especially for celebrations. I'm definitely more of a flavor combinations person when it comes to omakase, and they truly delivered some unique and delightful flavor combinations. The premium selection comes with 17 courses - 12 nigiri and 5 seasonal dishes. Highlights of the night for me include the salmon with tomato confit, otoro with shaved truffle, zucchini blossom with uni and caviar, and the sweet shrimp with lime zest and truffle salt. I unfortunately am not a huge fan of foie gras, which was paired with the hokkaido scallop (one of my faves). The seasonal dishes were also quite tasty. The chawanmushi and kumamoto oyster were my favorites. The chefs here aren't the most chatty, but they're very warm and take the time to explain each piece. They also sang for everyone's birthday! Definitely looking forward to being back for another occasion!

This is by far my new favorite omakase place. I made a reservation for dinner with some friends to celebrate some work promotions. The vibe felt intimate and warm. We sat at the counter so we got to watch the chef make the pieces. You can do 12 courses for $85 or 17 courses for $128. I opted for the 17 and my friends did the 12. And wow, I was blown away. Every bite was phenomenal! The fish quality was incredible and all the flavor combinations just paired so well. The main difference with the 17 course is that you get some unique bites beyond just fish--I had a lobster soup, truffle egg dish, and an uni oyster bite. The 17 course also ended with a dessert while the 12 did not. It was a nice way to mix up the courses. Our chef was excellent and also funny. I thought the 17 course was totally worth it for the price. My friends also enjoyed the 12 course and were satisfied. Our waitress was very attentive and incredibly sweet. She gave us free sake shots to congratulate us on our promotions. It was a great dining experience overall. I would 100% come back here and it was definitely worth it.

We visited this place last year during our trip to NYC and absolutely loved it. So when we returned during Christmas this year, we knew we had to come back and it did not disappoint. Both visits were fantastic. The sushi was excellent, and the service was outstanding.

Totally worth a visit here for some good omakase! My girlfriend and I went with the $128 premium option for 17 pieces, which I thought was a pretty good value. The fish was fresh and there were some creative pieces. My girlfriend did the sake tasting too, and they were very generous with the pours, filling the glasses to the brim every time. The sushi chef and the staff were incredibly attentive. I wasn't a fan of one of the dishes (I don't like foie gras or that type of texture), and without even asking, they noticed and swapped it out for me!I know a couple reviews mentioned feeling rushed, but I didn't feel that way. We were done in 1h 15m, and that's with me ordering another piece of sushi at the end. Overall, a great experience. Our total came to around $400 for two people after tax and tip. Definitely planning to come back again

One of the best omakase I've had in nyc! My bf and I came here for our anniversary dinner last weekend and this place did not disappoint!I made reservations in advance and the entire process was smooth and easy. We showed up 15min before our reservation started, but they had seating at the tables in the back and allowed us to wait there.4 sushi chefs and they were all kind, funny and extremely skilled. We chose the classic omakase for $85/person and ordered a bottle of the Nanbu Bijin for $75. Each sushi piece was outstanding with unique flavor profiles and the sake was delicious, light and too easy to drink. The sushi chef we had studied in Kobe, Japan since the 90's and speaks fluent Japanese. We were speaking for a while and he was so kind and talented. I loved watching him prepare each sushi. They gave everyone the cutest chopstick holders but encouraged us all to eat with our hands. All the customers also received a complimentary shot of yuzu sake, which was sweet and refreshing.Highly recommend coming here!!

First omakase experience and the food and serve here was amazing! The wait staff was very attentive and made sure to asked if our party had any allergies. The warm towels for our hands were amazing after coming in from the cold. The chefs were very skilled and a delight to watch them work. If you are stopping in, I highly recommend shelling out for the $125 premium meal as the additional courses were well worth it. The food was tasty and plentiful and I came in hungry and left feeling stuffed to the gills.

If you ever visit NYC, you HAVE to visit Sushi Blossoms!! We got the 12 course omakase for $85. Every piece had different flavors and unique presentations. My favorite was the uni with caviar, shrimp, and the fish with Thai chili (forgot what it was called LOL). I loved that there was already sauce in the sushi so I didn't have to dip it with anything! For someone who does not eat fish a lot, I found myself really liking this place!! The service was amazing. Our sushi chef, Ronald, was also really nice and offered to replace my eel since I don't like eating eel. The restaurant itself is also really pretty and aesthetic. I will definitely be back next time I'm in NYC!

Wow one of the best Omakaze I ever had. The value is absolutely incredible. The service was exceptional and the sake pouring was endless. Sushi Blossoms provided a memorable and intimate dining experience. Using some of the freshest and finest ingredients like Beluga caviar the chef handcrafted each course in front of us and serve each piece of sushi quickly with fresh ingredients. This is a dynamic menu that is innovative and very creative. We had a fantastic time at Sushi Blossoms and will be back for sure.

Overall - Worth A Visit! A little out of the way, located on 8th Ave.. right across from the Chelsea Projects, so be fully aware of your surroundings when leaving the establishment. It's also in FIT's backyard... and a few blocks away from Penn... aahhh the balance of nyc. We got the resy for 5:30... nothing says you're a commuter like an early bird dinner and get your butts on a train to go home. We did the premium set - $128 + sparkling water and total about $500 for 3ppl. Courses were good, very standard, fast sushi omakase. Chef was efficient and explained all the pieces, the wait staff helps out with plate removal... and this is where you'll "feel" the difference from eating here vs. say... Nakazawa... you know they are there and see the whole process, vs.... The seamless service that you don't see or feel... and it's effortless. Standout for me: Otoro, aged medium tuna, wagyu w/ foie; soft shell crab, Hokkaido Uni, and panna cotta. Yum. #yelping#nyceats#omakase
