It's been years and years since I went to Supermoon. And that was a mistake. These pastries are so fun and creative. You might be able to find one or two unique pastries at other bakeries across the city, but most opt for the traditional options. Supermoon goes all out and has mostly unconventional eats. And they rotate them so you're likely to get even more variety the next time you visit. Highly recommend! This time we got the ube eclair, white chocolate raspberry cruffin, lychee and earl grey croissant and guava and cheese danish. Those names are totally wrong, but that's essentially the flavors. I really enjoyed each of them, as did my family. Can't wait to come back in the summer for some gelato! I was eyeing the peanut butter m&m flavor, but sadly it was too early and too cold for ice cream.

I have been waiting for the longest time to come here because they change up their menu so often with new creative and delicious sounding items - happy to say I would definitely come back to try more! My friend and I have been watching their socials and menu updates for a while and finally decided to go. They have quite an interesting set up, it's sort of an open kitchen concept. All the items are out on display in a row and then behind was the kitchen with some see through red materials covering the area. It looked almost like a meat factory if I'm being honest. I do wish they had some sort of seating area. These are definitely desserts I'd prefer to eat then and there given how beautiful they are. It tends to move around in a bag or the box and so parts of it may end up looking a bit disheveled after. My friend and I got several pastries to try and our some of our top favorites had to be the strawberry lychee jasmine croissant and the lox and scallion danish. The almond and rose maritozzo was beautiful and tasted like a cloud. That was a close second for me. The Calabrian spice croissant was interesting and tasted like a cream cheese spread. I was most excited to try the Ferrero Rocher cruffin but unfortunately I didn't enjoy it as much as I had expected flavor wise. However I did really enjoy the crispy texture, it almost reminded me of a churro. Overall, I think this spot is great at experimenting with flavors and textures and I'd be excited to come back to try more!

I came for January edition pastries, and they were amazing! I love how every month they have something different to try (they have a rotating menu every month). it just makes me wanna come back every month to try something off their menu! Service is also super quick and easy - practically a grab and go. keep in mind there are no seating so you may just have to eat it somewhere else or just stand and take a bite!

Everything I've ordered and tried here is AMAZING!! I'll list everything I've ordered and tried and I'll add an asterisk next to my top 3 favorites:***Ube Pandan Ice Cream Sandwich- Thai Iced Tea Éclair- Hojicha Cream + Salted Caramel Maritozzo ***Pandan + Kaya Jam Cruffin***Passionfruit Donut- Strawberry Mango Jam + Matcha Donut - Dark Chocolate + Earl Grey + Brown Butter CookieThe staff is SO friendly, helpful, and extremely efficient. I love that they have a display of all the pastries that are currently available which makes it super easy to order (but impossible to decide because when you see them, you'll want them all). I also love that they rotate their flavors every 2 weeks so there's always something new and exciting to try. Supermoon is definitely worth the ride to Lower East Side! Highly recommend :)

Supermoon bakehouse's space is so awesome and the set up inside the bakery looks sick. It's great seeing what all of the baked goods look like before picking them.None of the items were exceptional in terms of taste although presentation was A1.Got the bear claw, ube eclair, elote danish, and pandan cruffin.None of them stuck out as extremely memorable. The ube eclair was a bit too sweet. The elote danish was a very unique concept but tasted just OK. And bear claw and pandan cruffin were also both OK. Unfortunately, all items were room temperature and seemed to be sitting there for awhile.Great presentation, but taste didn't hit as hard as we were hoping.

Supermoon Bakehouse is worth every bit of its hype. I haven't been back for a long time, and their laminated pastries once again wowed me. At my first bite, I knew it was a real delicacy, the BEST croissant I've had in a while. Their latest January menu features many tropical and southeast asian inspired flavors, like thai iced tea éclair, passionfruit doughnut, and strawberry mango jam & matcha doughnut. *Kalamansi Shiso Curd and Yuzu White Chocolate Croissant $7.95It was difficult to show in the reel but the lamination of their croissant was a beauty. I was amazed by the generous amount of kalamansi shiso curd in the center. It was sweet and tart. I really liked the thin coat of yuzu white chocolate on top. *Pandan and Kaya Jam Cruffin $9.25The pandan cream on top was very subtle, yet the kaya jam filling really shone through. The swirled pastry was incredibly flaky and crunchy, suggesting how freshly made it was. My friend described their cruffin was a bad first date food. The size was huge and it was a mess to bite into it. The flakes and sugar were everywhere lol.

Service: 4.1/5Food: 3.3/5very cool shop aesthetic, love the bare bones semi-transparent view into the kitchen. long line goes by quick, FOH has their system down. the layout is conducive to getting more pastries out the door, I just wish there were some tables or a counter to dine-in as i imagine some of their pastries are better eaten fresh. good comparison to the now closed terms of endearment bakery in Williamsburg. general consensus- creative flavors, difficult to eatWhat I Ordered:- Strawberry Mango Jam + Matcha Doughnut: good texture, matcha flavor got overpowered, runny jam made it messy to eat- Hojicha + Salted Caramel Maritozzo: structurally difficult to eat, too sweet for me, my partner's fav out of what we got- Pandan + Kaya Jam Cruffin: stays cripsy for days, not too sweet which I appreciate, coconut-y (which I guess is the kaya), pandan too subtle for my tastebuds

Every pastry is an absolute hit that will make you say wow with every bite. This is a much overdue review of pastries from the first week of November 2023.Passionfruit donut: This is one of their regular items and was absolutely delicious. The donut was fluffy and the filling was the right middle of sweet and tartness and an enjoyable consistency where it wasn't too thin that it was gushing everywhere nor was it a thick heavy custard-like texture.Sweet potato and marshmallow eclair: This one was one of my favorites because of the flavor and texture. The pastry had a nice soft crunch to it which was a really nice contrast to the soft, fluffy filling. Also got the Ham and Swiss croissant,Kouign Croissant,Mushroom, and goat cheese, and truffle focaccia at that time and everything was so good. Will definitely continue to come here to try their rotating flavors. I follow their instagram to see what flavors they come out with and it pains me to be in California and not be able to just go and try them.

i take Supermoon Bakery for granted but YOU SHOULD NOT as it would plus up any neighborhood with its unique selection of eats. Supermoon Bakehouse is a Lower East Side bakery serving up a monthly menu of rotating baked treats. savory or sweet: croissants to focaccia pizza to doughnuts to baguette sandwiches to "cruffins." Supermoon makes its own gelato flavors. the space is basically the bakery (no seating) and the giant counter where all the pastries are on display. the interior is very clean to the eye and modern. tip 1: if you haven't been to Supermoon, always get any one of their unique doughnutstip 2: try the croissants. there are always multiple flavors. recently, i enjoyed the "Spicy NYC" (part of the November 2024 menu). savory delicate buttery croissant filled with a flavorful cream cheese. the croissant doesn't skimp on the cream cheese and its savory with a touch of hit. tip 3: the eclairs are under-appreciated. get one! tried the Key Lime Pie Eclair (part of the November 2024 menu). tastes just like a real Key Lime Pie. the eclair tastes real lime throughout. nice balance of tart and sweetness.tip 4: the focaccia pizza are low-key good. tried the Thanksgiving Stuffing focaccia pizza and tastes like your favorite TDay stuffing in the form of thick crust pizza. so good. and a slice is hefty. tip 5: items sell out here all the time. come early like in the morning when they open. your best bet is on a weekday. weekends are tough bc you're competing with locals and tourists. the staff are pleasant, don't rush you, and make visits here enjoyable,.

Wow, one of the best pastries I've ever had. Detailed breakdown below:**Service, 5/5** Efficient and friendly. **Price & portion, 4/5** Pretty pricey -- my single croissant came out to close to $9 (!!!!), but it was perfectly executed and very delicious.**Presentation of the food, 5/5** Gorgeous, everything is made with so much care. **Taste, 5/5** I got a yuzu huckleberry cheesecake croissant and didn't get around to eating it a whole day later, but the croissant was still perfectly crisp and flakey. The huckleberry filling is a bit looser than jam so it coats everything inside in a lovely fruity and slightly tart flavor, and the cheesecake cream inside was perfectly sweet and had a lovely consistency. The yuzu helped add an interesting acidic dimension too that tied everything together. This was absolutely delicious and a highlight of my trip!
