What a fantastic place for breakfast! The portions were MASSIVE, could have been easily cut in half.My favorites were their breakfast potatoes and the oat pancakes - not too sweet and with tons of fresh fruit - just like all pancakes are supposed to be :)

I visited this spot for a work lunch, and overall, it was a decent experience. The restaurant was busy but not full, and I was seated right away, which was appreciated. I ordered an omelet with sausage, and it was very well done. The eggs were cooked perfectly--not overdone--and the sausage was flavorful. The dish came with sourdough bread, which was nicely toasted and quite good. It also included diced potatoes that were well-seasoned. Unfortunately, while the smaller potato pieces were cooked perfectly, some of the slightly larger ones were undercooked, which was a bit disappointing. I also tried their drip coffee, which came with free refills. However, the coffee wasn't great--drinkable, but not worth getting a refill. If I ever go again, I might try an Americano instead to see if it's better. The ambiance was posh w/ vegan options, which isn't exactly my vibe--but I won't hold that against them. It's clear they've put effort into creating a trendy and inviting atmosphere. While I didn't order it, I will say that the French toast and pancakes being served to nearby tables looked amazing. I'll admit I was a little jealous of the people who ordered them, so those might be worth trying on a future visit. With tax and tip, the total came to $35. While the food was solid, that price is a bit much for a regular breakfast in my opinion, so this would likely be more of an occasional splurge than a go-to spot.

My friend asked if we could do brunch and I agreeded. She picked the placed it was recommended by someone who had been there before. I did look them up before agreeing to go and saw the food looked delicious and wanted to try it out myself. We got there around 11:30 ish it wasn't to crazy you got seated right away and started browsing throughthe menu.I got a Latte and my friend got a cappuccino which were both very got but not hot enough. I was starving so we put in out food order right away . We both got the steak and eggs I got mine with a side of salad and sourdough bread and she got hers with whole wheat bread and potatoes. Hands down food was delicious the steak was done to perfection we got it medium which was very savory. I can definitely see me going back to try something else. Much recommended place.

Love sunflower cafe! I've been coming since they opened and it's a great neighborhood spot. My favorites are the regular and Mediterranean avocado toast and the Baruch. No reservations though so peak weekend times can require a longer wait!

This is one of the best brunch spots on the east side! Such pretty meals that taste amazing. I love the breakfast burrito and the bowl. I wish they took reservations but I've never had to wait that long. Highly recommend!

The breakfast here is delicious. I was full the whole day so if you have a big day ahead, this should be your first stop. Everything is cooked and seasoned well. I was scooping everything on to the buttery bread and eating it like an open face sandwich and other times just going straight for the veggies. To my surprise, I ate almost everything. But the matcha.. idk what was going on but either the water was dirty or the matcha itself was bad quality but it was terrible!!! Thankfully they swapped it for a juice for me. But the server did stare at me like I was crazy. For the amount of matcha I've tasted in my lifetime, I definitely know it's not suppose to taste moldy like it did here. I was met with a neutral annoyed attitude but a solution, so that works for me.Charming old school vibe inside. Mixed crowd. I'd come back again

The food here is fantastic and the plating makes each dish a work of art. They had an awesome variety of both brunch and lunch options, however seating inside is limited so do your best to get a reservation. We ended up sitting on the patio and there were not any heaters in February. I ordered the avocado toast which was fantastic, the rest of the table got the pancakes, the club and a few other entrees and we were all happy with our meals. I would certainly recommend checking it out for the food. Our server's disposition was less that sunny and not very prompt, but who knows, maybe she was having a bad day. The other downside is there is only one single stall bathroom, so expect to wait in line if you have to go.

I came here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was relieved to find that there weas no wait. The outside seating was pretty full, but there were several open tables inside. My initial impression was that the place was pretty small, but the interior was very cute and I loved the sunflower theme! We ordered the rise and shine, breakfast nachos, and fries. The portions were huge and I didn't end up finishing my meal (rise and shine). The flower included on each of our plates was so cute and the spread was truly impressive. The scrambled eggs were so elegant, although they were underseasoned and I enjoyed the sourdough, avocado slices, tomatoes and potatoes. My boyfriend's nachos were unexpectedly spicy for him, but otherwise he enjoyed them! Overall, I would recommend Sunflower for brunch!

The food here was beyond amazing! I was not expecting anything much different than any other typical breakfast place, but it definitely took me by surprise. Everything tasted delicious, including the matcha I got. The girls working were so kind as well. Wish the space was just a little bigger, but super cute place overall!
