Came for the late night craving for French onion soup!Onion soup was a par with our visit to France. Service was personal and available; I like that.Ambiance was on par with the cafes we visited while in Paris.

Overrated food, the steak was really chewy. Had to return one of the steaks since it wasn't medium rare. French soup, fries and the bread basket with the butter were the highlights. Steak chewy and below average, dessert which everyone recommended was awful and tasteless. Don't want to sound harsh but one of the worst restaurants I've been to in New York. Never trust the ratings online in beli or yelp. Save yourself a day and skip this restaurant PS this was a date night with my wife and the food spoiled the entire moment.

We made a reservation for Friday night. We ordered the steak frites and they were amazing! Steak was tender and juicy, fries were crispy and delicious. The bread we got was good too. The interior is cute, loved the decor. It's not huge so reservation is a good idea. Service was great! Very reasonable price for steak

What a great dining experience. Our waiter made a couple of suggestions that made a huge difference. First, he suggested that we eat the gnocchi appetizer as soon as it came out. It was one of the best apps I've ever had. It was sinfully rich. He also suggested that we pair our steak with a veal and truffle sauce that was not on the menu. It was a home run. The food is simple but perfectly prepared and delicious with top notch service.

First things first, make a reservation this place can get very busy. Staff is very attentive. The place gives Paris vibes, a little antique and tiny. It's cute. My friend and I opted for the pre fixe dinner menu which is $55 per person. With drinks and tax and tip, it came up to just under $100 each. We had a good time and left VERY full. The meal was great. I do think the onion soup could've been more complex flavor wise, it did get a little monotonous after a while. Chocolate soufflé wasn't sweet or chocolatey enough (funnily), so I would recommend the creme brûlée over that. All in all, I think it's worth it. Didn't leave with any regrets and look forward to returning soon :)

Love this hidden gem right near the Theater District! If you love classic French food, this is the spot for you! The design makes you feel like you are in a real French bistro! The workers are all friendly and make you feel very welcome. It is small, so I would suggest making a reservation!Last night, I had the moulin rouge cocktail, which was like a less tart cosmo. Very tasty and not too sweet! I also had the moules frites, which is my favorite entree here! The broth is full of flavor and the fries are salty and delicious! I love that the fries come with mayo and ketchup. We were a party of 5, and everyone loved their choices! The steak frites are obviously their signature and my dad loved them.I definitely recommend this cozy spot for a less touristy pre/post theater option!

Came here specifically for the Lunch Prefixe special ($38), where you get a starter, entree, and dessert (bread included). The portions were insane for the price point, I was already full by the time we finished starters and bread. The hanger steak frites portion is also apparently full size despite the cheaper price! The shoestring fries surprised me with how delicious they were. The french onion soup was a bit salty imo, and the steak a little chewy but it's due to the cut. I'd recommend the Pot de Creme over the Creme Brulee.Service was excellent! Very attentive and nice.

Made a reservation for a weekend lunch though I honestly didn't need to as the restaurant wasn't full. Then I was just left on my own with no menu or water for about 10 minutes until a kind waiter noticed that I wasn't being helped. Had to wait another 10 minutes just to place my order because only one server was taking orders...Got the prix fixe menu. The bread and butter appetizer was a nice touch. The French onion soup was tasty but I wasn't able to finish it as it was a bit too salty for me. I ordered medium doneness for my steak and it came out more like medium rare but at least there was a nice crust on the outside. The meat was a bit chewy but maybe I'm just not much of a steak person to know the difference. It's a really generous portion though! The shoestring fries were crunchy and plentiful. The last course was dessert which was crème brûlée. I think they should serve this with a small dessert spoon instead of a large spoon which made me think I'd be getting a bigger portion. Advice to skip the coffee/tea, I don't know why I thought it'd be free but I ended up paying $4 for it. I had mentioned it was a celebration and I got a sparkler to hold for a photo opp...I think my expectations were too high for here so I left feeling a bit left down.
