Combo #6 ( half chicken, fries and salad) makes for a perfect combo
Ensalada Russa, one of the best I have ever had in the states. It's a Spanish play on tuna salad and those twist crackers are amazing.
Half-pitcher of sensational sangria w/cava, gin and vermouth. Great in summer, even better in the dark days of December.
Cheesecake
fried eggs and rice
a glass of white wine
mollete de jamon serrano con sangria!
Manchego with quince paste ($13)
Special - paella pasta, delicious
meat and rice
tables and chairs
Callos con garbanzos y chorizo
ramen and noodles, interior

This is such a great for some rich tasting food right near Hudson Yards. The amount of variety is incredible!La Barra and Lena is also available for dining.Opening up the palate after a brutally cold day we indulged in train the Boozy Hot Chocolate:House-made hot chocolate , rum-infused tres leche espuma, Cutty Sark Scotch Whisky - can you say WARM ME UP?For appetizers: Patatas BravasFried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce and garlic aioli - so tasty!Croquetas De PolloChicken and béchamel fritters - not greasy , fried perfectly!Pan Con Tomate Cristal bread brushed with tomato, extra virgin olive oil, salt - my favorite of all - if you are a fan of bread (and who isn't) - this is your appetizerTabla De Jamon and Manchego - excellent cheese! After all that good stuff , we shared a dinner :Canoles Gratinados Con FoieChicken, pork and duck foie gras baked pasta with béchamel sauce and cheese - so full of flavor and taste!!Dessert:Churros Con Chocolate Churros with hot chocolate - freshly made and very light! All and all the experience was fabulous. The only confusion was getting seated. Reservations HIGHLY recommend . The inside is so bright and the wait staff was amazing!

Service was not great n we ordered 2 different dishes to try - racido and the canales. Both were ok. The racido came with a broth that I found to be on the bland side. The space is large but noise is amplified there so not great for a date or quiet meal. Fun to watch what's going on. Plus it's located in the back of little Spain.

here I promise you that you can find better places to eat in Hudson Yards. The food ranged from average to downright bad across five dishes. The service we received from out waiter was terrible; despite the fact that the restaurant was only half full, it took over fifteen minutes to order, to get the check, and to get the check paid.In the winter, do NOT let the restaurant seat you anywhere near the windows. I can see now from photos that it's a retractable wall. It lets a lot of cold air in.

Ok place for a dinner in Hudson yards. The food is just ok- my friend got the ramen and it was a big mistake. I really enjoyed my gazpacho, however. Stick to the Spanish foods. Service was pretty fast and efficient. Ambiance was alright- very cafeteria feeling. The bar area is nicer. We were also right by the window and it was a bit drafty.

I came by with two friends for brunch on a weekend; we didn't have a reservation, but the hostess told us there were still "foosball tables" available (pictured lol). Rather quirky indeed. We ordered a few plates to share:- patatas bravas. These were very delicious. The potato bites were really nicely fried, with a good crisp on the outside and a very soft inside. The sauces (mayo and salsa) were not too heavy or oily and nicely balanced out the dish. A little pricey, but pretty nonetheless - would definitely recommend.- bocata de jamón y queso. The baguette was really yummy in and of itself, nicely toasted, and the ham was not bad, but the cheese (manchego) was actually the highlight for me - really light and buttery with lovely (soft-ish) texture that paired nicely with the rest of the sandwich. - plato cinta de lomo. The pork chops were OK, the breading was a little soggier than I would have liked, and the meat a little too dry, but overall fine. The fried eggs were nice, I liked the runniness of the yolk (paired well with the potatoes), and similar to the patatas bravas, the potatos were fried very nicely, too.- canelones gratinados con foie. When I saw baked pasta in the description I somehow overrode the "canelón" part of the dish name, and was a little surprised when I saw the (indeed titular) cannelonis wrapped around the various ground meats. This dish was really heavy, from the foie gras, practically oozing out every bite, to the rich and cheesy béchamel sauce. I'm glad we shared, because I don't think I could have eaten more of one of these at once. Just a bit oily for my taste, but the flavours otherwise were pretty solid.Overall, I did enjoy my meal here, and the price point came out to a pretty reasonable amount for the three of us to split. I'd be keen to come back - their menu is quite large and had a bunch of other dishes I was having a hard time deciding between haha.

Love, love, love the food scene at Mercado Little Spain. Every little nook has a unique dining experience. The Spanish Diner is so fun. The menu is a solid brunch spot and charcuterie place if you're into just drinks and meats and cheeses. The space is casual chic with a sports bar element as well. Heated lamps overhead for the section of seating that is part al fresco dining and part covered inside. The bar counter is also a great spot for a quick bite especially if you didn't make a reservation at this hot spot. Speaking of, reservations are suggested for many reasons - if you're a large group, want a nicer spot to sit, or if you're looking to spend a bit of time with the eating and drinking. That will secure you a good seat in the place. Very comfortable seating all throughout and the menu is just perfect for any time of the day.Menu offers a great signature brunch item - eggs and fries. With that as your base, you can choose to add meats (a variety to choose from, jamon, chorizo, ie). And you can add eggs to your liking. This visit, my party of three had no reservation but we were seated immediately at the bar. And we ordered plenty! - two eggs with fries and jamon, side of chorizo (added later) - cauliflower with bechamel sauce (so good, best way to get my veggies in)...I didn't say it was the healthiest but it was tasty indeed. - potato omelette, it was simple and satisfying for the small eater in the group. Fluffy omelette with diced potatoes tucked inside. - cheese sandwich, loved the baguette as it was very soft and the manchego cheese was delicious. Light tomato sauce. This simple sandwich was so full of flavor. It hit the spot.- some Mocktails for us and fresh juices completed our brunch experience. The staff was very friendly and prompt to serve. Our waitress in particular was attentive and brought us everything we needed in seconds. She was so efficient. Sitting at the bar made the sharing plates easy to access even though we weren't facing each other. And since it was a counter, we had plenty of space to sprawl out with our plates. Totally recommend and bring your charcuterie loving pals with you. It's a great menu!

Started off great with some beautiful aged manchego. On a cold day a nice cup of tea felt like a must buy. I always appreciate when it's served in a personal tea pot. Our waitress was very kind and went over whatever questions we had about the menu, but once the meals were served it was challenging to get her attention. The place was a bit understaffed for Sunday brunch. I'd probably enjoy this more at a less busy time. The huevos fritos con pisto manchego was a great meal for $13. There was a sweetness in the tomatoes that can't be matched. I'd recommend getting this and the manchego. Also ask what a Spanish omelet is before ordering, you may be surprised, as my friend was. This is a perfect place to go if you are seeing a show at The Shed or shopping at Hudson Yards. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for Mercado post renovations.

The combo #6 ( half chicken, fries and salad) is simply superb and highly recommend this dish. The chicken is perfectly cooked and the fries and salad combo are excellent complements to this entree! Matched with a pint of Spanish beer makes a great dining experience! The service and ambience were also fun and relaxing and will sure to return many more times!

This restaurant is located within Mercado Little Spain within the Hudson Yards Shops. I came here for brunch with a friend. The space was sprawling, bright, with colorful accents and whimsical touches. I ordered the Fried Pork Loin, served with 2 eggs, fried potatoes (French fries), and glazed sweet red peppers. The Fried Pork Loin was perfectly crispy, thin, and well seasoned. Eggs was over easy and though I normally prefer over hard, this was expertly prepared and quite yummy. The fries were satisfyingly crunchy and full of true potato taste. They were addicting! Service was pretty good. Our waiter was friendly and everything came out in a timely manner.

Pivot and go out in the neighborhood we are in;Approach the host desk and surprised with a minimum wait of five minutes. We opted to walk around the Mercado. A return after about ten minutes as no text notification was received. Finally we were seated and commenced the celebration.Hot cocoa had been on my mind and we were greeted with Boozy Hot Cocoa and it hit the spot. We started with a few appetizers of bravas papa's, chicken croquettes, tomato bread and the cheese of the day.The lights were bright to read the menu and enjoy the presentation of our dishes We opted to split an entree described as Christmas everyday cantelloni foie.It was a gift of perfectly seasoned, cooked chicken, pork and duck foie gras.We accompanied the entree with red Sangria. The manager came over and advised dessert on the house due the scenario experienced with our seating. Great comeback from a rough start in anmddition to the delectable cuisine. We closed with churros and they did not disappoint.
