Please do not waste your time. This business seems to always have issues. Either they're closed for inventory or just closed because. Considering the state of the economy is I would think businesses would do whatever it takes to stay afloat. I do not live close to this location and have travel to it (3X) because I can remember how good it was when my son played football in the area 2 decades ago. I know things change and perhaps the original owners are no longer managing the business but so you take it over to continue the legacy or begin your own. I would not recommend and gave them 1 star because everyone deserves a chance but I haven't had their food in a long time. I have tried 3X to reconnect with their flavors but cannot

This spot is about a 10 minute walk from my job and honestly I hold every second of my lunch break very dear to my heart. I ordered via phone for pick and tge walk from kingscounty Hospital wasn't too terrible. I read ahead through telp that it was cash only and thank rhe heavens above I actually had cash. It was worth the 25 mins walk back and forth. I ordered the Whiting and shrimp combo that came with fries. I requested my sauces to go- tartar, pepper and ketchup. The shrimp as nd fries were seasoned so well. The fish was fried a bit too hard but I still enjoyed it.Ill be back soon trust and believe!!

No one has paid me or given me free shrimps to do this 5 star review. I've been to the soul of the sea a few times while living in Crown Heights, but since I've discovered I am no longer allergic to shrimps I went ham and ordered the 8 pc meal with fries. Sweet Moses, it was DELICIOUS. The fried shrimp was well seasoned and crispy after ordering 20 mins later. I only had (2) french fries because when I opened the container they came running down to the kitchen to beg for my food. (That happens often) The food was sooooooo good I failed to talk about the service first; that should tell you. The service is very professional including the chef. They don't play loud music and it's a family owned business. I love to support small businesses in my community and this one was worth the cost. It's affordable and they serve not just fried shrimp, but fish. ENJOY!

I came here today for the first time after getting a recommendation from a good friend of mine. I was told the customer service is excellent if not exceptional. Upon entry I let the cashier Dina know it was my first time. And since I wanted shrimp , but of course I had to try the fish as well. The owner, Sham was there and welcomed my brother and me....with 2 strawberry lemonades on the house. Wow talk about an experience the strawberry lemonade was great worth the trip. I was definitely excited to try the food. The wait was about 10 minutes. Sham was very friendly and greeted everyone that walked in. I was satisfied with the portion size when I received my food. The food was excellent! The fries were seasoned, similar to a cajun seasoning. The shrimp was very hot and crispy. The whiting fish was also hot and lightly breaded but not oily. Everything was delicious. I'm looking forward to coming here again and I already recommend this spot to a couple of my friends. I will be back. Be aware this is a take out spot there's no room for dinning in and there's street parking and nearby bus stops depending on how you're commuting.

Cash only! This is my only major negative because I usually don't have cash on me.The fish is cheap and good. It was fresh, clean, and seasoned well. I had a whiting sandwich and it was cook well. One thing I wish they would change is the to-go containers. The plastic containers make the fried fish mushy because of the condensation. Paper containers would keep this fish crispy. The 4 piece fish literally hangs out the box which is not good. I'll be back though.

No one answers the damned phone two separate days. Cannot recommend because you can't get through to them.

Since no one else mentioned it, here's a heads up, they're cash only. No ATM inside so you'll have to go to the corner store. Now the food, I got the whiting and shrimp combo. The fish was alright had a lot of fin left on it and was kinda ehh but the shrimp were big and juicy and delicious. Generally, I don't like those big wedges type fries they have but theirs are pretty good and well seasoned (not too much salt). Tried the Half and Half and the Strawberry Lemonade. They're both delicious but way too sweet lol. It's def a guilty pleasure unless you take them home and add water. No pics cuz I ate in the car. Sorry y'all.

The food was fresh and seasoned well, not salty at all. I ordered the tilapia with chips. I meant to take a picture but I ate it so damn fast! The place is tiny (to go orders only) and lot of people hang out infront however the food is worth it. I found the restaurant through google honestly, which has a rating of 4.4 stars from 200 people.

Came her for a quick lunch. Fish was good and fresh. Ordered a simple whiting sandwich. They offer desserts and steamed vegetables. Customer service was fairly good. Downside was my wait time, as I arrived when they were getting a delivery. Other than that, I would go back in if the area.

I was really feenin' for some fried fish, these fried fish spots are hard to find nowadays. I stumbled upon this fried fish spot while driving by, of course I had to in.The joint is take out only, very small spot order and go to of spot. As soon as I waked in I was informed that they were out of whiting fish... which is the most popular fish and my man reason for stoping in.I ordered my alternative second favorite fried fish which was catfish. I ordered it with chips (French fries.)The fish and chips were good they had an "old bay" seasoning type salt sprinkled over them as soon as they come out of the fryer.If I had some criticism is that the service was slow, and you only get 1 small 6 inch piece of fish with chips for $10, kind of pricey in my opinion, if I would have received 2 pieces of fish then it would worth the price. They do give you plenty of French fried though. I give them 3 stars because service was a bit slow, food a bit over pricey for the portion you receive and many fish option on the menu were not available.
