@sotto13nyc is a cozy and romantic italian restaurant that serves a variety of classic italian dishes. the ambiance in the restaurant is perfect and the interior is beautiful. the presentation of the food was so incredible and pretty. this place is perfect to eat a romantic dinner, or together with family and friends.ft:-octopus: wow. the plating was insane. the octopus itself was SO tender and seasoned perfectly. i've had quiet a lot of octopus in my lifetime, but this may have been the best i've had. genuinely. i love that even though this was an appetizer, it came with potatoes and avocados. again, the plating WAS STUNNING.-meatballs: you can never go wrong with classic meatballs. they were so yummy! great flavors and cooked to perfection.-hanger steak: OMG. this might have been one of the best steak i've had?!?!? there was a tiny layer of crust/crispiness on the outside, and the the rest of it was beyond tender. the flavor was spot on. the mushroom sauce that it came with paired very well with it. i appreciated the side of broccoli rabe and potatoes. 10/10 i recommend getting this. beautifully plating.-cacio e pepe: again, WOW. i was constantly blown away this entire dinner. everything about it was great - the noodles were cooked for the right amount of time, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the flavors were amazing.-naughty lady cocktail: loved the flavors! tasted fruity and the taste of elderberry was present. -pendennis club: the gin taste was prevalent, and honestly was very interesting tasting. beautiful drink!-lemon ginger sorbet: SO YUMMY!!! extremely refreshing after all the other food we ate. this was delicious.sotto 13140 W 13th St, New York, NY 10011thank you for having me follow @rebeccatakesnyc for more nyc content!

Think we lost track of how many times I exclaimed, "wow - this is so good!"...because it was!Excellent dining experience at Sotto! We arrived on a Sunday night circa 8pm for NYC Restaurant Week, no reservation. We were promptly seated by a very friendly host! The space was beautiful and trendy. Everything we ordered was great! We started off with an Aperol Spritz and a Naughty Girl cocktail (oooh-la-la!). We continued with the octopus (fabulous!!!) and tuna tartare appetizers. Our mains consisted of the prosciutto pizza and the absolute piece de resistance - the lamb ragu rigatoni. Wow! We could have each gotten our own Finally, we had the crème brûlée which was fantastic as well as the Nutella/chocolate dessert balls. The service was also on point and very friendly!Overall, highly recommend and looking forward to going back again.

My partner and I agreed, the most refreshing and amazing Italian meal we've ever had!If you're looking for a refreshing take on Italian food that's not overly heavy, then this is definitely the place. We had the pan seared scallops, the orecchiette pugliese and the octopus and they were all extremely well made and balanced. It still has those Italian notes with the acidity and strong flavors but it was complimented well with their use of greens that made for a uniquely refreshing experience

Sotto 13's social brunch brings the fun of brunch to their incredible Italian-inspired cuisine. This wasn't my first time here and it certainly won't be my last. This spot exceeds expectations with the ideal West Village location, the inviting and beautiful ambiance, and the knowledgeable staff. And the food is great - I was truly blown away by their cacio e pepe, shroom pizza, and brunch bombolini!! The social brunch includes a bottle of Prosecco per 2 people and we topped off the experience by adding the Prosecco tray with fresh fruit juices and complimentary liquors. You cannot miss this spot for a perfect West Village brunch experience!

Sotto 13 is an Italian restaurant in West Village with sophisticated atmosphere, excellent service and quality dishes and drinks. The dining room has a high ceiling window, which allows sunlight to shine through at daytime. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot for romantic date night, friend/family gathering or weekend brunch. Shoutout to our server Helder--he was attentive and friendly throughout the dinner.*Grilled Octopus $22**The tenderness of the octopus won our heart. The outer was well-grilled with a slight crispy, while the inside was still bouncy and tender. The green tomato vinaigrette was a great sauce to dip into. We also enjoyed the roasted herb potato on the side. *Yellow Fin Tuna Tartare $21*A refreshing and appetizing antipasti. The fresh tuna cubes created a harmonious flavor with mashed avocado on the bottom. It was delicious to eat with the toasted garlic bread. *Hanger Steak $42***Star of the show was definitely the hanger steak. The steak was cooked to perfection with a nice pinkish center and charred edges. It was served with a porcini mushroom sauce and roasted potato. Every element on the plate hit the mark, except the broccoli rabe was a tad salty for my liking. *Orecchiette Pugliese $28They rotate the pasta menu based on seasonal ingredients. Our server recommended orecchiette pugliese, which was tossed with italian sausage, broccoli rabe, sun-dried tomato and parmigiano. The ear-shaped pasta held up the sauce beautifully. The flavors grew on us after a few more bites and we devoured it. *Tiramisu $12I really liked the fluffy and airy texture of the mascarpone cheese. I wished the ratio of mascarpone cheese and ladyfingers were more balanced.

I first visited this restaurant with a friend years ago and recently had the chance to return for a group dining experience. Our tables were located under the glass dome in the back room, letting in plenty of natural sunlight. The price was $85 per person for a weekend night, which included a four-course meal. The first two courses were served family-style.We started with a pear salad, meatballs, and mushroom pizza. The pizza was incredibly flavorful--definitely a highlight. The pear salad was decent, though I found the dressing a bit too salty. I'm not a fan of gorgonzola, and since it was mixed into the salad, it was difficult to avoid. For the second course, we had veal ragu and mushroom pasta, both of which were delicious. For the third course, we received individual plates with a choice of chicken, hanger steak, or branzino. I opted for the branzino, and the portions were generous enough to share. I also tried the hanger steak, but found it a bit too chewy. A friend who ordered the hanger steak tried my branzino and immediately regretted his choice--the branzino was outstanding. We ended the meal with bombolonis for dessert, which were the perfect way to wrap up the evening. The service was excellent, and even though a few people in our group were running late, the staff did their best to accommodate us and delay the food. I was impressed by the quality of the food, service, and overall value for a group dining experience.

Really yum food and great service! We had the shroom pizza and that was one of the best pizzas ever. Would definitely recommend it. I also had the pear salad but wasn't quite impressed with it. It didn't have much flavor or any real dressing at such. Literally greens mixed with tiny pieces of pear and sprinkled with feta cheese.
