ive had this place saved for a while but i finally got to go today! i walked in around 5:10 no reservation and fortunately they had a table for 2 ready but the place was packed so i recommend booking a reservation in advance just in case :) they also had a coat check! the interior was even more beautiful than i expected. had a vintage vibe to it with a green bankers lamp and cool posters. our server was rita and she was so nice and attentive she gave us recommendations and helped us decide what to get. -thai iced tea 10/10: we both started off with thai iced teas which were the literal best thai iced teas we have ever tasted... so flavorful and perfect-green curry nuer toon 9/10: so so amazing. came with a bowl of rice. little spicy but not too spicy at all. it was so delicious and the perfect amount of creamy. the beef was cooked perfectly and was fall off the bone style. not sure if there was a bone but uk what i mean.. i want to try their other curries next time-chicken ki mao noodles 8/10: i only got one bite of this because my friend ordered it and it was my first time trying it so i dont have much to compare it to,,, but it was so delicious. my friend loved it so much. portions r big so she had to take the rest of it to gonext time i want to try their drinks cause they looked so cute. interior was amazing and had posters from in the mood for love. will def be back

The restaurant is small. The tables are close to each other. It's unpretentious and very casual. I enjoyed the food a great deal. The food was served hot, in a timely fashion. Our server was knowledgeable about the food and recommendations. My only issue is with the space, only 2 restrooms. I would go back for the food, most likely in the summer. So I can wait outside comfortably before being sat.

Amazing authentic Thai. My brother took me here for the first time since I don't live in New York, and I'm so grateful he did. It's now at the top of my Beli list :) (iykyk). This was my first time experiencing Thai food like this, and it really stood out for its incredible flavor profile. Everything was so delicious, and the servers were all kind. Some favorites were the Koong Karae, Pad Thai, and Duck Noodles (pictured below). It's a more intimate space and the restaurant seems to always be packed, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. Tables are mostly for 2-4 people, and while they're close together, it doesn't feel overwhelmingly crowded. Service is quick, as tables are limited to 1.5 hours. Already looking forward to coming back next time I'm in town :)

Amazing! Really loved the atmosphere!Everything I've had here has been delicious. Both appetizers will leave you wanting more. I highly recommend getting at least one appetizer to try. If you can generally tolerate spice then the khao soi won't be an issue. & If you like a sweet thai tea, definitely give this one a try.All the drinks looked amazing, I hope to try one the next time I return!

Really good Thai food. The flavors were very strong and good. We shared the Tom Yum Hot pot which had a lot of seafood and the broth was sooo good and well balanced between the lemongrass flavor and the seafood stock. Shrimp pad thai was good, what made it stand out was how perfectly the shrimp was cooked, so soft and flavorful. I also tried the vegitarian Masaman curry and it was very good, the curry was so fragrant and delicious. Deserts were only okay with the mango rice being the best.

SERVICE- located on the intersection of 13th st and 3rd Ave in east village- very close to Union square train station- highly recommend making a reservation as they are busy every night- small interior with tables for groups of 2-4- environment can be noisy since the tables are close together but we were still able to hold a conversation - ambiance is nice for a semi casual/slightly more formal meal- service is quick despite being busyMENU- unique selection of Thai entrees and appetizers with a focus on noodle soups- vegan menu available- slightly pricey ($25 per entree)FOOD- persimmon Massaman curry (8/10): peach, melon, cauliflower, shallot, and crispy seaweed in a bed of spicy persimmon coconut milk curry with a side of rice. Out of the two vegan Massaman curry options, the server recommended this one since it was the winter special. I had never heard of a fruit in a curry other than mango and pineapple so was intrigued to try it. Visually it was a work of art. In terms of taste, I liked the contrast of the sweet fruits with the warming curry. I was not a huge fan of the almost raw cauliflower. I also would have liked some protein to add an umami note. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes, i would want to try one of their other seasonal specialties.

I think the hype is too high. This is just an average Thai place. The staff was nice. We got seated on time. The interior was OK. We were in a back room that was probably the backyard at one point which was pretty chilly. The drinks Were OK. We got two appetizer one which was good one which was bad. I felt the entrées were about the same as what I could've gotten locally at another Thai place.

Wow, literally 10 stars for Soothr. I was seriously blown away by everything - from the restaurant interior, to the kindest service, and the some of the most fragrant and flavorful Thai dishes I've ever had! I'd been to Sappe before Soothr, so was VERY excited to finally try it! I tried the:Khao Soi Sai UaKoong KareeCrab Fried Riceand ALL were phenomenal. I loved the Crab Fried Rice, I think especially because of the sauces it was served with. The Khao Soi was insanely flavorful and you could taste every single herb in each bite. Definitely make sure you mix in those noodles well! The Koong Karee was so unique in its flavor, and the shrimp were juicy and cooked to perfection.Would seriously go back tomorrow and every day after if I could!

Believe the hype! The food is incredible. I can't remember how Soothr came into my radar but I definitely counted my lucky stars when my party of two was able to get a table with minimal wait (20 mins) and no reservation around 630p on a Monday. Soothr has a good table system and it works, but try to get a reservation in advance if you can. This is not the spot to hang out with someone you haven't seen in 20 years. It's going to be tight and you are not shooting the sh*t here, you are ordering as soon as you sit down and eating delicious and memorable Thai.We had read some reviews + asked the server about their most popular dishes and ended up going with the duck rolls, moo dang puff, duck noodles and the Koong Karee (shrimp in curry). We were next level delighted with our selections. The shrimp curry dish was my absolute favorite and thinking about it still makes my mouth water. Flavor explosion. I wanted to really love the duck rolls but some of the flavors didn't come through as much as I had hoped after reading the description. Still a solid choice! We ordered drinks too but these were standard in my book. I would skip next time. The service is great and the staff is polite but firm about their one hour and 15 min table max. All in all, Soothr is a gem and I look forward to the next time.
