My partner and I were craving katsu so we decided to go to Soboku. We really enjoyed the food. We got the kurobuta katsu curry and the kirobuta katsu set. The katsu itself was fantastic, and I really loved that they kept some of the fat on. While the curry was good we both preferred the normal katsu set. One of the highlights was the cabbage salad that came with the set. It was so good we ordered an extra side of it. Aside from the food, the ambiance was great and the service was fantastic. All in all I really enjoyed Soboku and I'll definitely be coming back.

My friend and I came here for dinner on a Friday night, and it was an overall great experience. The ambiance was a bit dark and homey, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere, and we loved being able to see the open kitchen. We started with the crab cream croquettes, which were perfectly hot, creamy, and crunchy, paired beautifully with the tartar sauce. For the main course, I had the ebi fry curry, and my friend had the Kurobuta Katsu Curry. Both were absolutely delicious - comforting, rich, and satisfying. I would definitely come back here to try more items on their menu!

Came here on a tuesday evening, it was pretty busy as all the tables were taken and we had to wait about 15 minutes before we could be seated. The service was good as the waiters were very attentive to our needs and filling our water. I ordered the pork katsudon and thought it was good. The pieces of pork katsu were very thick and the crust was crispy, nothing super stand out though. After tax and tip, the total came out to be ~$25 per person, so the pricing is pretty typical. Overall, the food here is solid!

This is a Japanese restaurant in boreum hill area! I was a bit displeased with the foodFood: I ordered the curry ramen but don't recommend getting! The ramen was not very flavorful and was too filled with a bunch of corn! I did enjoy the tuna tacos! The tacos were a bit too fried but the sauce was delicious! Service: good serviceAmbience: Ample seating! Price: reasonably priced

Super cute place for anything katsu related. Came with a friend and we were seated immediately. This restaurant doesn't take reservations but it was pretty easy to get a table. Got the crab croquette to share and they come paired with like a tartar sauce that was good. I personally got the kurobata katsu and thought it was really well done. I also liked how it came with the set as the salad, rice, and miso soup really filled me up.

Stop looking for the best plate of Katsu in Manhattan, cause it's here! Us living in Brooklyn have been so blessed with Soboku, with excellent service and deliciously made Katsu in an open concept kitchen. The space is comfortable and cozy, the appetizers were hot and fresh! My girlfriend and I both got the pork katsu sets, complete with crispy tender katsu, white rice, miso soup, and a side salad with dressing. We will absolutely come back here again!

Back to my favorite Japanese restaurant in Brooklyn. Soboku is a homey spot for ramen and katsu teishoku with affordable pricing. I've been singing my praise about their food since my last visit. I feel like the quality of their food has further improved. *Kurobuta Katsu Kare***Bf devoured the whole curry rice in 10 minutes and he exaggerated this is plate-licking delicious. The katsu is deep-fried to perfection. It is coated with thin and golden breadcrumbs, while the meat is still tender and juicy. Perfect combo with curry rice. *Toryufu Mazemen (summer special) I'm a very simple person: if I see mazemen on the menu, I order it. Their toryufu mazemen is a soupless ramen topped with minced pork, parmesan cheese, sesame cream sauce, truffle oil, corn, scallions, and a poached egg. It is delicious at the first few bites but becomes heavier and stickier after the cheese melts.

One of the best Japanese spots in brooklyn. I've came here a few times before. I usually get seated pretty quickly by the staff. My favorite appetizer is the crab cream croquette. The crab cream is super tasty and creamy. I've tried the salmon don and katsu curry. My favorite is the salmon don. The raw salmon with the spicy mayo is delicious. I love the texture and taste of the raw salmon. The raw salmon was well seasoned. Overall, an great Japanese spot in Brooklyn.
