We checked out So & So's for the first time during a private event, and it definitely delivered on atmosphere. The place has a cool speakeasy vibe--dim lighting, vintage touches, and just the right amount of mystery. The live piano music added a classy, old-school charm, and the musician was seriously impressive, setting the perfect mood for the night. The drinks were well-crafted, and the bartenders worked fast, keeping everyone's glasses full without much of a wait. Service, in general, was on point--friendly, efficient, and never intrusive. The appetizers were a highlight--thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and surprisingly filling for small bites. The only downside? It got a little crowded and noisy, but that was likely due to the private party setting. Even with the packed house, the energy was lively rather than overwhelming.Overall, So & So's made a great first impression, and we're already looking forward to coming back for a more laid-back visit to see how the place feels on a regular night.

Fun piano bar with a variety of artists playing in the evenings. Outside of the music, the cocktails are tasty - I enjoyed the Ali bean and the Corn Ball. The K-pop fries are a must try and both the something chocolate and sticky toffee pudding desserts are a great way to end the night. Be aware they have a 90 or 120 minute maximum on the tables in the stage room - one of the servers tried to push us out after 45 minutes which felt a bit rude (as this wasn't explained during the reservation or seating process).

Newly opened just a few months ago, we've visited So & So's a couple of times and it's always a great night out. They usually have a live music act each night, from about 7 or 8pm for 3hrs. Great performances! The layout of the bar is great, not too packed and tables are cosy and nicely spaced out. They also have a great menu - the K-Pop Fries are popular, and we loved the tuna tacos, brussel sprouts and steak frites, and sticky toffee pudding. The bodega cat and thank you 15 are great cocktails!

A fun, hidden piano bar inside the Romers Hotel on 8th Avenue. You enter on 52nd Street through a blue door with minimal signage/wording. My friend who took me had been before and was excited to return. We had a reservation we booked last minute, arrived early and they were still able to seat us. Very cool space with plenty of banquets for seating. The cocktail and food menu was pretty impressive, cocktails were pretty unique running about $17-20 which isn't bad for a place like this. The night we went they the guy performing was so talented and was taking requests from the audience. Our server couldn't have been kinder. She even sang a little for us! We had a great time and will definitly be back.

Came here for Valentine's Day and the ambiance was amazing, such a cute date night spot. My favorite thing we ordered was definitely the pigs in a blanket, Oysters Rockefeller, and Smoked & Wild Salmon Tartare. The bodega cat drink was amazing as well. Services was also really good and was understanding of us being 20 min late which was sweet.

I stopped by for the Talia event on a Friday night and loved the piano bar, which is hidden behind an unmarked door with velvet ropes--giving it a speakeasy vibe. The decor was beautiful, instantly transporting me to the Great Gatsby era. We were seated in the front row, enjoying the best view of the night. The cocktails were fantastic--my favorites were the Bodega Cat, Thank You 15, and Piano Man. The food was decent as well; we enjoyed the smoked and wild salmon tartare and sesame tuna. However, the Brussels sprouts were overly salty and drenched in sauce. Now, regarding the service: our server was attentive, but it seemed the kitchen was backed up. We waited at least ten minutes after finishing the Brussels sprouts for the tartare to arrive, followed by another ten minutes before receiving the tuna. This interruption was noticeable since we were sitting in the front row.A peculiar incident occurred when we were asked to move to the bar after placing another cocktail order ten minutes after the show ended. I later learned about the 90-minute rule, but this was never communicated to us upon arrival. It left a bad taste since we could have decided differently before ordering.Once at the bar, the bartender seemed more interested in chatting with another guest than attending to our request for the check. After reminding her twice, we finally received our check when I asked the manager for assistance. As a resident of Hells Kitchen, I'm rooting for this piano bar. However, they need to address the negative feedback soon before it becomes a larger issue.

What a great find! Stumbled upon this new establishment while looking for a place to have a few drinks. The door to enter is unobtrusive. It's pretty pricey so don't go there thinking you will spend less than $15 dollars on a drink. Another warning they add $10 dollars each person to your bill but you're watching awesome live entertainment. We had the Big Apple Martini which was boozy and tasty. Didn't get any food but it looked good coming out of the kitchen. Our server was awesome we loved chatting with her. For a high end place it was quite welcoming and chill. We sat in the backroom but kinda wished we sat the bar.

Ambience and service is excellent at this place. Definitely a spot to enjoy music and conversation or food. Be aware there is an entertainment fee of $20/person. Drinks are made well and food is appetizing.

The ambience was very warm and romantic especially celebrating on Valentine's Day. My girl and I enjoyed the food and drinks. The waiter we had was pleasant and even gave us some recommendations. I would love to come back again and hope to see more options for dishes. The food was delicious but I wish there was more options in the menu. Overall an amazing experience to have with your significant other or with a group.
