I tried the lunch special here today with a friend of mine and wasn't too impressed. The portions were quite small and the rice was cold. The wonton soup only had 1 wonton and the soup was also cold. The location isn't great located across the street from Port Authority and next to the scary Burger King that attracts interesting clientele. Unfortunately I won't be going back - too bad the dish was spicy which I liked.

I recently enjoyed an incredibly authentic Sichuan cuisine experience in the heart of Hell's Kitchen. The menu offered so many delicious options that the four of us decided to rely on the recommendations from the servers. If you're looking for some spicy dishes, don't miss the sliced beef in spicy broth and the braised fish fillet with Sichuan pepper. I even saved some of the spicy broth in my fridge, which I use to make noodles from time to time.To balance out our meal, we also tried and loved some non-spicy dishes, including tofu with crab roe and stir-fried bean sprouts in garlic sauce. My go-to dish at any Sichuan restaurant is the dry pot, which is also served here. However, if you don't want to pick bones, I would recommend avoiding the pork rib tasty pot.

This was a nice restaurant. Our food was good. We ordered fried dumplings, house special fried rice, general tso chicken, and orange chicken. Both our chickens looked the same so I think they messed up our order and gave us both general tso chicken. Again, it was good but I was disappointed that I did not get to eat orange chicken. I loved their house special fried rice, it was delicious. Everyone was kind and the restaurant was clean.

I was quite impressed by the warmth and hospitality of the staff here-- everyone was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Food is definitely authentic and prices aren't bad (maybe a bit pricey for Chinese but reasonable for Times Square). Our favorite dish was the pork soup (although I was confused by the Lima beans inside-- didn't fit, I feel like daikon or some kind of mushroom would've gone better). Came with this REALLY good house made chili sauce, wish they sold it individually. Spicy fish stew was good, fish was really fresh and delicate; wish it was a bit spicier. Dumplings were meh tho (would've benefitted from some veggies in the filling to add more flavor) and weren't really fans of the crab tofu (very filling and portion size was large but found it too oily).

This place needs more recognition! Upon entering, you can tell that this restaurant is legit. My partner and I got three different dishes, but they were all large portions. My partner rarely sees loofah being offered in restaurants, and he was very excited to know that they were serving it because it reminds him of home. The dishes we got were great, and the service provided was also great. An elderly man came in, and he ordered something to pick up, and he told the chef and the servers that he gets something everyday because the place is so great! Would definitely come back. The menu was endless, so there is more I want to try.

Some standouts:- stir fried loofah gourd dish - excellent- fried rice cake in brown sugar - wow! Crispy flaky outside, sticky mochi inside. Best I've had!- spicy fish - really fresh but more importantly the sauce tastes better than at other places - shredded bamboo cold dish - also very goodOther stuff was ok. Some of them tasted like pre made food which I get it - a lot of Chinese restos buy in bulk and use these days. But you're in good hands if you stick to the ones I recommended (acquired taste aside). The fried rice cake dessert alone is worth a trip (and maybe a Pete Wells review if you ask me).
