Siren Oyster Bar and Restaurant

The decor strikes a nice balance, feeling upscale without being over the top, and the lighting and ambiance create a welcoming vibe. Even on a Monday at 6, the bar had a good crowd, likely drawn in by the happy hour deals, which include $10 cocktails and $1.50 oysters.The staff was attentive and friendly, and the appetizers meant for sharing were definitely worth ordering. The highlight was the octopus, perfectly roasted and served on squid ink hummus, a combination that worked surprisingly well. The oysters were fresh and arrived quickly, as did most of the other dishes.The only downside was the frutti di mare pasta that the waiter recommended, which was far too salty for my taste.

The food did not disappoint but I tried the 1/2 chicken and it was juicy and flavorful. It did take a bit of time for the dish to come out but my bartender was on top of things. The chicken did have a gravy which had poured on my chicken but I do know the chicken was juicy before hand.I have to say the space is opened and inviting but the staff really make the difference. My Barton's me the best Negorini that I have had in a really long time!

I'm back! Great 4 course prix fix for $65 during the week. It was too much food for me, so I took left overs home. Reheats very well. Great happy hour! Cocktails n $1.50 oysters. Mon-thurs till 7pm and Friday till 6pm. I love the French 75 cocktail. Service is great.

came for happy hour but only had 15 mins left of it so we made the best out of it. The oysters were HH pricing and you need to order a min of a dozen. The hot apps we ordered were decent, not to really rave about. Our espresso martini was good. Only complaint was that the place was really hot and we asked to be moved, the waitress said she'll take a look but never got back to us. Had a small meal but sweated most the meal.

Small hip / sheek place with delicious food options at a decent price for park slope & delicious drinks! Can't forget the Great Vibes!!! The owner and his family are great hosts and really make you feel valued as a guest / customer! We celebrated a birthday and they prepared a special menu with a pre-chosen pre-fix menu - it was very cute, thoughtful and well put together, as well as on really good quality paper! So much so I had to mention it haha Give it a try! You won't regret it!

Not bad, but nothing unique or spectacular! Pricy.First, I think they are very overpriced for the neighborhood, type of food, and service they offer. The whole "package" did not match the prices.Second, we were the only table on Sunday evening; I hope that's only the case for that particular Sunday (and no, that was not a holiday).FOODWe came to this spot for oysters. The oysters were okay, but half of the oyster's menu was unavailable, and the ones we tried were very salty (but that's not the restaurant's fault). The oysters were overpriced for the neighborhood. If I remember correctly, the price per oyster starts at $3,75... That's Manhattan's rate, not Brooklyn's, or you need to be a spectacular place in BK for that rate, where you pay for the location, the view, or/and how popular the place is.I was disappointed with Hamachi. The price was way too high for what it was! At least, what I have seen in other places was much better.The octopus was well made and tasted delicious, and the squid ink humus was fantastic! We loved it.The lobster roll was okay, but again, nothing outstanding that could have a wow feeling.SERVICEThere is not much service to value. The one hiccup we had was that the waitresses asked us if we were Russians (none of us are), which was disturbing, given the political situation. And it was early in the evening when we just got seated. I personally have no reservations about that, but some people at the table got a bit awkward.One other thing: the waitress was also a bartender, and she messed up tequila with Mezcal.Other than that, it was okay. However, I cannot properly value service here because there is not much to value or be objective about.AMBIENCELovely and pleasant! But it was empty! We were the only table on Sunday night. They have a beautiful bar setting, and for a glass of wine with oysters, you will surely enjoy your night.I found this place somewhat good, but I did not have a spectacular experience. They tried to do well, and you can see attention in their dishes, but somehow, they did not get it 100% right! Maybe that was an empty night on Sunday, and that did not allow us to see the full potential of the place

Absolutely perfect spot for drinks and biteslets start with the fact that this is a PROPER OYSTER BAR - pencil and paper oyster order which you dont get much of in bklyn. the oyster selection was rich. pink moon, bad boys, beau soliels were favorites. we added caviar too which was power move. oh and the mignonette slapped.really good drinks and big mezcal selection got grilled octopus (delivious) and lamb chops (with mint chimmi) which were perfect plates along with the oysters. the space is nice and def vibes // very impressive all around .

I can't say anything bad about this place . I was greeted with a smile - service was excellent, the ambiance was extremely date worthy . And the food was good ! I came for oysters (so we ordered twice ! Lol) but I also ordered the arancini and the lobster ravioli. Both needed salt but the flavors were there ! I also enjoyed their take on an old fashioned called the renaissance fashion. Over all I have no complaints and I cant wait to go back !

A nice spot for happy hour oysters but that's about it. The food was a little disappointing and the prices are not cheap.Came here for dinner with some girlfriends and it was pretty empty with one server. The AC was not working properly or maybe because we came when they just opened but it was sweltering inside. As the night progressed, it became crowded, the server was overwhelmed (still just him, poor guy), and the heat was pretty unbearable with the kitchen cooking at full blast. For happy hour oysters, it's 1.50 per but you have to order a minimum of a dozen. You get 1 option for happy hour. We had the petite and it was very fresh and sweet. The drinks seemed a bit weak. I had the French 75 and it was very light. Maybe because it's happy hour? They also have a 4-course pre-fixe menu for $65 but it's a table commitment. There were enough options for a table of 4 to pick different dish to try so we ended up doing the pre-fixe menu. Apps - Crabcakes, kale ceasar and octopus was good2nd - mushroom tagliatelle, linguine clams (they ran out of lobster ravioli) The pasta was ok but pretty salty though.3rd - Branzino, NY Strip, Mussels. Surprised that it was the steak that turned out to be the best one for the 3rd course. The branzino was ok but wish the skin was a bit more crispy instead of the soggy, rubbery version we got. The mussels were very fishy and we did not like it at all. That was the dish leftover. The steak was cooked medium rare (how we ordered it) and was season well and tender to the taste.Dessert - peach cobbler, bread pudding. - At this point we were all pretty full but the dessert was good. For a table of 4, our bill came out to be $100 per person. The service was very slow. Normally I wouldn't care but because it was so hot inside, we were practically eating and sweating at the same time for close to 3 hours.

A great addition to the neighborhood! I don't think happy hour could get much better with $1.50 oysters and 2 for 1 wines. The cocktails are great and they can make a couple of them alcohol-free (I'd recommend the green juice margarita, not the saffron mule because the saffron is in the booze). Definitely get some oysters, I prefer west coast so love that there is a great selection from both coasts. The lobster roll is a must try, better than any roll I've had in the Hamptons. The goat cheese salad is particularly good as well. We didn't leave room for dessert but will be back to try more of the menu. The ambience is excellent, love the dark paint and decor. Service was thorough and attentive.
