Sip N Chat Cocktail Lounge

Unfortunately I came with the worst expectation, I was expecting poor black on black bad service, I was seriously surprised.... I'm not going to say I received top seller serious, but it was really good ... The staff took care of us and where really professional, and not to disparage them because they wear great but, I've had heard others a little negativaty on to Sip N Chat,... But my experience was really good!!!!!!

I will be up front - I really go here for the drinks, music, & vibes, & usually not to eat. That being said, I have had the wings here a few times & they were good & def hit the spot. The staff has always been friendly, & they have a great pan-Caribbean rum selection. Sometimes on weekend nights when it's crowded, though, they are no hats (?), in which case, no me ! Or maybe it was no baseball caps? TBH, that was a while ago. But yeah - def no baseball hats at night. Warm weather weekend nights, esp as July turns to August, this place gets really lit.

After an ultimate fail at another bar/resturant we took an Uber here and realized we should've just came here for dinner to begin with lol. We sat at the bar top and was waited on by Shanika (sorry if I spelled it wrong) she was nice and attentive. Still hungry from the lack of food at the previous bar we ordered some grilled jerk chicken and it was seasoned to perfection! The chicken fell off the bone and the jerk bbq sauce paired so nicely with it. The chicken was a tad expensive about $15 for 5 pieces. Met some nice guys at the bar and one of them shared his pineapple chicken lol that was good too! I had a pretty good drink that was rum based called moment of passion and switched over to Pinot Grigio by the end of the night. The music was good with a mix of old r&b and a little Afro beats. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Brooklyn!

I've been meaning to come to Sip N Chat for a while so we finally did last Friday night. It's hard to miss the lounge as they have neon lights out front and Trini music in the background. They have outdoor seating but we sat inside since it was later in the evening. The vibes are great. It's a narrow restaurant inside but they pack the tables in and get you seated right away. There was a DJ spinning the beats and TVs showcasing music videos. They have a full menu and bar even at 11pm and I ordered the curry snapper which came with your choice of regular rice, or rice and beans, with veggies served on the side. Many of the cocktails have amaretto in them which was perfect since that's one of my favorite liquors. You can also order any kind of cocktail or liquor from the bar. The food took about 15-20 and it was well worth the wait. You're missing out if you've never had snapper before and the islands really know how it's done. Cooked to perfection and the curry seasoning was the best. Getting the check takes a while so if you can pay in cash that'll speed up the process. A great spot none the less and worth a visit.

After a long day of drinking with my bestie, we ended our night here. Starved, I was desperate for food and to my delight they had Curry Goat on the menu. So best believe I ordered it! I don't know if it's because I haven't had goat in sooooo long but it was so good. I ended up cleaning the plate! What's even better is they give you extra sauce. I'm so happy we came here, even if it was brief. Btw... We came on a Sunday night so it was not busy at all.

Cool atmosphere, nice for a late night hang. Staff can be a little friendlier, but the drinks are nice and strong.

Good for a late night last minute drop in for a drink. However their staff are rude and lack business luster. Prices are a bit high on menu items but when you've been drinking you don't watch the prices; perhaps this was their intent.

I do not know where to start. Rude staff poor service when I asked for some hot sauce the woman from the kitchen eyeballed me with disdain. There was no one else besides us at this place three of us for over an hour no one walked in. The food is subpar the fried wings was from the day prior. As we were waiting for this subpar service and food, I saw a mouse sprinted by. We had already ordered the food and got a cow foot soup it was mediocre. It was first and last time and would never recommend this for any type of occasion not even a quick drink or bite. Avoid it.When the kitchen woman brought the food it was without utensils and without care. I got a few wings for $15 and the meal was also $15 it's a mess in there I can't believe anyone runs this place at all. Whenever I had a question and concerns it was met with rudeness and nasty attitudes. Yuck and yikes.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. The Bartender was very rude, and not welcoming. I got there an hour before they close the bartender claimed the kitchen is close they're not serving food. Asked him a particular drink he claimed he didn't have while it was on the menu, and he made it for me after I pointed it out. I've tried going there hoping the service would change, but the service never changes it always horrible thanks to some light skin bartender. He's very nasty, not welcome, and I refuse to give these people my money. We need another bar in the area, because this isn't it.
