Simple Cafe & Restaurant

Best restaurant in Brooklyn. Walked in here once with friends 5 years ago at random and now find myself here whenever I have a free evening. Great wine great food great service great vibe great everything. Impress your friends by bringing them here.

I'm going to start this by staying I definitely would have had a more enjoyable time if I ordered something differently. I got the Ricotta & Lemon Preserved Pancakes for brunch, I'm allergic to strawberries so they were nice to give me five & grapes with it instead. Unfortunately the figs weren't ripe so it wasn't fun eating them and the pancakes themself were a bit dense with odd grittiness throughout. Just overal not pleasant but I could see that these could have been great. Everyone around me seemed to have a great time so I really think it was just me. I was disappointed that they didn't have anything to drink like chai or matcha, I don't drink coffee so I just went with a black tea. Would love to see the non-coffee menu expand! I want to come back for dinner, the menu looks great & very different then the rest of the area.

This place was so cute! We walked by it on our way home from a Sunday morning pilates class, and decided to get breakfast. It was still early in the day so the place was empty which was kind of nice. The space is small but charming, and there is a little shop where you can purchase candles, clothes, etc. The food was good; everything tasted fresh and had a lot of flavor. The sabayon on the French toast was perfect. The only "complaint" I had was that they only had whole milk or oat milk for coffee dairy options, but it wasn't a big deal. The orange juice was also fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend this spot.

Nice vibes and ambiance if you're just looking for a place to eat. The service was really pretentious, which was weird considering the food wasn't even that special.

I've been to Simple twice and I really do love this spot. It's so special and quaint and the quality of the food is great. We got their appetizer dips, chicken tajine, steak frites, chocolate cake and crepes for dessert. There is a cute shop with hand picked goods for purchase (clothes,Perfume, kitchen ware) and a little bar next to their exposed kitchen. I enjoy this spot but give it a four star rating because the portion sizes are pretty small and the prices do not match that. Otherwise, I recommend.

I like getting brunch in Williamsburg periodically. My friend picked this restaurant because the pictures look amazing when we did a search. We came here on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. It was a really cold day so it wasn't at its full capacity and we got seats right away. The services here were great however the food was meh. We ordered the French Toast, Algerian lamb sausage merguez and one of their special course which I couldn't remember the name. Portions are VERY small for all 3 dishes and they don't taste good. French toast doesn't taste fresh either. Also ordered latte, a beer and ginger lemonade to drink. The ginger lemonade is extremely sour.. I couldn't taste anything except how sour it is. Don't think I will come back here again in the future

I had the chance to dine here for a friends birthday lunch. He had made a reservation prior and the restaurant had reserved their long table in the middle of the space for us (about eight of us). The menu was on a QR code so we took some time to look over it while ordering a round of drinks. When it came time toorder I went with their name sake Simple Burger. A decent burger with a nice side of fries. Overall this was a decent spot for lunch but honestly felt better for a morning coffee. I'd still go here for either but the cafe vibes are very strong here! They also have a store where you can purchase mugs and other such items.

Algerian Lamb Plate is to die for! Enjoyed the space food and customer service !!! :)

This is a cute spot and I loved that they had the windows open so I could dine "indoors" with shade while also still having lots of ventilation to not increase any covid risks for no good reason! The service was good and I enjoyed the Algerian crepes - they're not a huge dish so I was kind of hungry not long after, but I liked the taste and would probably get a bigger dish next time. I did get the mint lemonade and it wasn't my favorite, not enough flavor really.But aside from that, I did like the crepes and think this spot has good potential for other dishes.

Amazing food!! We love the small plates and poached egg w Avacado and smoked salmon. Service is great and wonderful ambiance!
