Sicily Osteria is a charming, cozy spot conveniently located close to Broadway--perfect for a pre-show dinner. The warm ambiance and attentive service set the tone for a memorable evening. We started with a few appetizers, and each one was a hit. The meatballs were hearty and flavorful, while the burrata was absolutely amazing, especially with that rich drizzle of olive oil. The standout, though, was the octopus--perfectly tender with a surprisingly generous portion for the price. For our mains, the spaghetti chitarra was indulgently rich, with the pistachio adding a delightful kick that elevated the dish. The mezzi rigatoni al forno was equally satisfying, packed with bold flavors and cooked to perfection. We ended the meal on a high note with the pistachio lava cake--without a doubt, the best pistachio dessert I've ever had. It was warm, gooey, and bursting with flavor. If you're planning a night out near Broadway, Sicily Osteria is definitely worth a visit. Great food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere make it a fantastic dining experience.

Cons: Very loud, cramped seating. Small portions for a big price. Carbonara had overcooked guanciacle with sauce that was thick and pasty. Chicken parm was small portion and not tender chicken, very little pasta with dish. Pros: spicy marg was great, attentive servers, food came out quickly. Not eager to give it another try.

Pre-theater NYC Restaurant Week Dinner 2025. Good price and portions for restaurant week!Great place for a pre-theater meal and great deal for reataurant week. Conveniently located on Restaurant Row. Note - I mention in detail at the end of this that it could have been more efficient, we had to rush to the show after.2 people on a Thursday night before seeing a Broadway show one block away. One person vegetarian, the other gluten-sensitive.We only ordered from the reataurant week menu, one person also ordered a glass of wine.Note that the restaurant week menu does not mention which dishes are vegetarian or gluten-free. It doesn't mention any allergens so fortunately the staff helped clarify that information to us. I also commend the staff for coming back and letting me know that my original apprtizer choice was not gluten-free and pointing out which one was.Appetizers:Pomodoro Ripieno (could have used more salt. No salt shaker on the table so I just ate it as-is) - veg, gfInvoltini de Melanzane - vegSecond Courses:Tortellini - vegHalibut e Zafferano Third Courses:Mount Etna (sicilian pistachio lava cake w gelato) - surprisingly gluten-free and extremely delicious!Tiramisu - it was like a deconstructed tiramisu that was assembled tablesideIt is a large space with a lot of diners and we were seated in the back room - we and the 2 tables on either side of us were all rushing to get to shows in time. I expected it to be much quicker/more efficient service for pre-theater dinner, especially since most people were ordering the same few items from the restaurant week menu. We didn't receive our appetizers until about 20 minutes after we were seated? We mentioned to the staff numerous times we had a show to get to, to please bring out our food. We also asked for check before dessert arrived to save time, so did the table next to us. Maybe because we were in the room ALL the way in the back we also felt a little neglected - there wasn't always a staff member passing by to wave at if we needed something.

Request Roberto because he will take care of you! I basically let him order for me all night and couldn't be happier. He suggested a great Italian wine for us that I wouldn't have chosen on my own. He broke the tie for the tortelloni and it was fantastic. The burrata was so good and authentic. This place might be on restaurant row, but it's a really great find! Don't be deterred by anything because the food and wine are worth the stop!

Very comfortable and relaxing vibe. Service was very attentive. Our waiter Roberto was wonderful and paced our meal perfectly. Food was excellent. Pasta dishes were the highlight for my wife and me. They also have a nice wine selection at reasonable prices. Sicily Osteria has become our new favorite.

Honestly, just disappointed. We were referred to this place by some friends who loved it.My wife and I didn't.We did make reservations and that went well. They took our order and brought out the bread. There are so many pics of homemade bread, freshly baked in a skillet. Nope, we got some dry bread that was cold cut up in small pieces.I ordered the carbona and my wife the chicken parm. We each ordered a drink as well.our food came out before our drinks. I'm talking maybe 6 minutes. My wife wanted the chicken parm with a white sauce instead of red. They said they could not do it? Really? Overall just not worth it.

Stopped by Wednesday night around 10pm after a Broadway show and we were craving Italian. This was just a block away from the theater district so we checked it out. A cute restaurant with a pretty authentic vibe. We were quickly seated and ordered. The arancino we were unsure what it was but was airy and interesting. The meatballs were fine but had a nice sauce we used with our bread. Speaking of breads, the bread basket was very nice and consisted of some very fluffy grain breads. I personally got the casarecce which was DELICIOUS. A creamy tomato sauce with such flavorful pork sausage. Decent portion too. My partner got the rigatoni which was very hot and fresh. We both agreed the casarecce was the star of the night. Dip your bread in the sauce - it's great. Great portions, nice service, good ambiance. Definitely a place to check our for solid Italian.

We came here and tried the happy hour which has several food and drink options. I had a negroni which was perfectly made. We tried the meatballs on happy hour and the sauce was just amazing. We opted on one entree which was the pistachio lemon crab pasta which was also delicious. I will definitely come back to try more. We sat at the bar and service was superb.

The place was decorated for the holiday and old Italian pictures. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Quick to take our order. The food came out relatively fast. Garlic bread to start. We had a fig pizza appetizer that was cold and not that tasty. (Someone forgot and left it out there?? Disappointing.). But then the pasta and main course was hot and tasty. We had the spaghetti chittarra - w/ crab meat,Veal Marsala, chicken parm, branzino, and casarecce (pasta). All was delicious and worth a repeat visit.
