The service is 10/10! Upon entering in my puffy winter coat, the waiter offered to take and hang it up. This was great since the chairs were rather small and my long coat would drag on the ground if hung on the back. He also bought me cold and hot water and refilled both without me asking a couple times! Food came out quickly as well. I got the shoyu ramen and my friend got yuzu shio. The portion size was filling and not overly so, just the right amount of chewy noodles with a good bite on them and a flavorful clean broth. Most times I get shoyu ramen, the pork is way too fatty for me to enjoy but the pork here was fairly lean which was nice. The yuzu shio broth had a light citrusy taste. Both were perfect for a cold winter day. Prices were reasonable at under $20 a bowl!

I love all of the ramen Shuya makes. I must say my favorite is vegetarian ramen and I'm not even vegetarian. It's that good. A must try dish here is fried chicken. He dips in the special sauce that I can't get enough of.My personal favorite is madai umeboshi appetizer. It's so refreshing. They have a high-tech menu, scan the QR code to order.Staff is friendly, you can sit at the beautiful counter to enjoy nice conversation with Shuya too. Oh, by the way, all of the dishes and ramen bowls are hand made by Shuya.

Needed something to warm us up on a cold winter day so we ventured into this ramen spot. While it wasn't the best ramen I've ever had, it did what it needed to do.I'm usually a shoyu guy through and through, but today I ventured into the spicy miso (we also got the classic shoyu, don't get me wrong). I really enjoyed the flavoring. Not too spicy (maybe could have been a skosh more?) but did build a nice sweat. I didn't think I would enjoy the minced meat aspect of it but I think it worked here. My only dislike was that I felt like the noodles weren't soft enough; I recognize this may be normal for this type of dish but I was expecting a smoother bite. The shoyu ramen was clean but maybe on the more boring side. Didn't come with a ton of meat. Pricy but probably simply by nature of where it is. The vibe of the place is cute. We sat at the counter and I enjoyed watching our dishes be made in a pretty meticulous fashion. I feel like if it were busier it would've taken quite a while to get food but it was really quiet on the Sunday afternoon we went, which was nice. And the dishware overall was nice: the chopsticks were interesting, spoon chic, water glasses huge, bowls cute. Overall worth the stop in.

Yuzu ship ramen with clam was so good. So were the apps - onigiri, chicken wings, scallop tenaki. Miso ramen was also good, but the yuzu shio was special

This is more of a 4.5 star place, nothing was bad at all! The ambience was cozy and modern, the servers were kind although not the most attentive. The food was pretty solid, I am not an avid ramen eater so I don't have much to compare it to but I enjoyed my vegetable ramen, I found the broth very flavorful. The fried chicken was also very tasty and flavorful. The two sushi based dishes we tried were just okay, not bad but didn't pack a ton of flavor, I would probably skip that and stick to ramen here. I also wish they had a chicken based broth without clams ... overall would definitely come again on a chilly night

I live very close to Shuya and was very excited to check it out after it opened. I have now been here several times and am a huge fan. I have tried three of the ramens so far and all were very unique. I like that the broths are not your typical pork-based broths which, while delicious, can be very heavy and unhealthy. The broths here tend to be lighter and cleaner which I have come to appreciate. And the noodles, which are made in-house, are truly the star of the whole show.In addition to the ramen, they also have some temaki sushi (hand rolls) and appetizers like fried chicken. I tried the salmon temaki and fried chicken and both were also delicious. The restaurant itself is very modern and beautifully designed with really unique furniture. Service is always quick and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to being a regular here!

Menu is on QR code on the table. Reservations must be made 2 hours in advance, but the restaurant had plenty of seating when we got there around 2pm on a Sunday. - Fried chicken/tebasaki ($12, 4 pieces) was ok but too salty. The wings were huge.- Tried my friend's duck tsukemen (~$28), and it was pretty good. - Wagyu truffle ramen (~$40) didn't seem worth it. The wagyu was much too fatty and still tasted chewy. Has truffle flavor but overall not a great bowl of ramen. Not sure if I got unlucky and this was the one time the ramen didn't hit the mark, as other reviewers seemed to enjoy it. Bathroom in the back was clean.

Excellent ramen. I first found this gem as a recommendation in New York magazine. Made a reservation for lunch. The space is beautiful - it's like a furniture showroom. It's also very efficient you order and pay through the bar code but there's people around to help if needed. Got the ramen and don't skip out on the fried chicken - I love the 2 piece option so you don't overeat and still have room for dessert.

This ramen place is a hidden gem! I randomly stumbled upon it and was impressed by the elegant decor inside. It almost looked like a furniture store! They have a happy hour deal where their fried chicken wings (tebasaki chicken wings) were half priced. It was so delicious, crispy, and juicy that we ordered two servings. Might have been one of the best fried chicken I've had in the city. The ramen is pretty classic and you can't really go wrong. Tldr - come for their chicken wings during happy hour!

So so good. Highly recommend the spicy ramen but honestly their garden salad was honestly incredible. We ordered it 3 times back to back.
