Service is outstanding! Food is amazing and ambience is intimate and cool. Definitely try the saffron ice cream... it is to die for!

On a chilly Valentine's Day, we scheduled a double date at this cozy restaurant. Right when you walk in, the atmosphere is bustling as everyone's enjoying a drink or two, waiting for their food.Speaking of waiting, we waited for our food for quite a while. We ordered drinks first, but our food came first--30 minutes later. We had to remind our waiter for our drinks, but I could tell that maybe the night was just hectic for the staff.The food was pretty good. I wouldn't say all of it was a breathtaking experience, but I would suggest it as a place to try since New York has so many restaurants for you to try and compare each.My favorite was the dip trio. My friends really liked the hummus, while I focused on the yogurt and cucumber dip. The meats were delicious also, but still not out-of-this-world. Our party thought the eggplant dish was probably not best for our palette, I wasn't able to try due to allergies!Overall, I give the place a 4. The atmosphere is nice, but the somewhat long wait for food was a bit unideal. The food was good quality, but not great. I would give a 3.6 if I could!

Service was exceptional, happy hour is only at the bar. Saffron wings were spectacular, must try!!The Shirazi salad was fresh and the chicken and beef sultani was good but the beef was a bit dry. The Albaloo rice was good but not as flavorful as I thought. Got some drinks, cocktail Sarmast was delicious with saffron and the Fig in the Fog was the best!!And if you know Tahdig then ask for it, with or without stew!! Delicious!!

Came here with my Persian friend who was pleasantly satisfied with all of the options. It is hard to find authentic Persian food in NYC for some reason, but we had a nice meal here. Solid 7/10 for me. Kebab meat was tender and juicy, and nice fluffy rice with different options including pistachios and raisins - authentic! The bread was nice and fluffy, and they served tea the Persian way with sugar cubes that you put in your mouth and take sips of tea to let it dissolve. The drinks were solid as well. The olive dip was briney and flavorful. The baklava was sweet, but not too sweet and maintained a good flaky texture. If you haven't had persian food and are looking to explore it in a sit-down restaurant setting, this is a great place to check out! Definitely keeping this place in mind for when people seek Persian.

Short review: I didn't actually eat much here, as I had an extravagantly expensive work lunch earlier that left me waddling like a penguin, and then a ridiculously lavish work happy hour. I *did* try a couple of bites of my friend's Ghormeh Sabzi--my favorite Persian stew--and it was scrumptious. But mostly, I remember our drinks: - Call Me Honey: Sweet, just like the apologies I had to make to my liver when I went home.- My Heart Is on Fire: Tasty and perfect for pepper lovers- Mediterranean Mule: Spiced and spicy, like a certain 1995 world-dominating girl band. - Persian Queen: My favorite of the night. - Love & Poetry: More like love and regret at this point, but I had a good buzz going and this came with cinnamon.- Paris to Shiraz: Maybe the only cocktail dud. A bit too bitter and a bit too boring compared to all the other fun libation creations. Will come back to have a proper dinner one day.

Surprised to find a 7 o'clock reservation on a Friday night. That said,our party of four was seated many of the available tables quickly became taken. Started with MAST BADEMJOONfried eggplant and yogurt dip . Tasty but badly needed salt . Saffron wings were well seasoned and juicy. We got 3 orders of beef sultanani some with rice others with shirazi salad. These are 2 kebabs one of each koobideh and the other grilled beef. 4th order was for safffon chicken only kebabs. While we all liked the beef grill , the chicken (breast) was underseasoned and dry. All in with tax and tip and as around $250

Nice ambience the waiter and host z was terrific. I was here for a wine and food event. The food was hit and miss. The spinach appetizer was bland as was the smoked eggplant both fresh just not that interesting. The salmon was good and the Bronzino was the best. The ground beef was returned.

I came here with family, and the hostess was really warm and accommodating. We were led to a table at the front of the restaurant, but then we requested to sit at the back of the restaurant, where it was a bit warmer. They gladly moved us toward the back. We ordered three dishes to share: one stew and two kabobs. The chicken kabob did not have much of a flavor to it, though the ground beef one had a nice, subtle pepper taste. The ghormeh sabzi was delightful. It had the perfect amount of sourness to it. I highly recommend it. They serve a good portion of food. We did not order any dessert, since we were pretty full. For those looking to try Persian food, give this place a shot.

Two nights in a row during posted business hours, this joke of a restaurant can't be bothered to stay open for its customers that come to patronize it. Last night although the website confirmed they are open, we showed up to a locked restaurant, Today my Persian friend visiting me even called ahead and spoke with Sophia, who confirmed the business hours on the phone with him and promised they are open tonight. Either the restaurant owner needs to fire his lazy staff, or he needs to invest in a website that actually posts current business hours. This is egregious, and there are other excellent Persian restaurants in the city that now have my loyalty. Persepolis and Miraj come to mind... Shiraz clearly doesn't think its customers are worth respect or loyalty, so I'll return the sentiment

Food was delicious, Excellent service, we went there off time so it was not crowded. There is jazz every Thursday night. I highly recommend this Persian restaurant and will go back there again. Thank you for making our lunch memorable.
