Manhattan Friends!!Out of town visitor from Arizona here. Happened upon this gem of a dining experience!! As a foodie, I always love a new find. Tonya our server made many fantastic recommendations.....and we tried them all. The ambiance was buzzy and exciting. The aromas in the air made my eyes bigger than my stomach. I will absolutely stop back in before we leave in a week. The curry chicken dish was by far....CHEFS KISS!!! Score: A+

Had dinner here last night by seeing higher rating on yelp.I was un-lucky or different point of view with other fellow yelpers, I can't rate this high.I thought this is a Japanese ramen and Izakaya restaurant and so expected. They serve gyoza and ramen at same time when I just started beer. They must understand that ramen should serve a little after beer and appetizer. Not many want to drink beer and big soup noodle at the same time.Ramen should be at the end of meal with drinking.*My glass of beer was not cold*Gyoza was not fried crispy but mushy and on shredded cabbage and sweet sticky sauce on it.Though the gyoza filling were house made I think, way to cook and serve need to be better. Price was $11.50 and my expectation was high.*Syoyu ramen look good and was similar looking to Tokyo style but soup stock was lousy. It needs ramen stock, not just soup base(soy sauce base) with hot water.++= $46. Is not out of ramen dinner range but needs satisfaction for that.I hope they up grade some cooking and serving skills before I comeback.

A solid Midtown ramen spot!Inside is very cozy and quite quiet but very reminiscent of traditional ramen shacks. We ordered a set of takoyaki, Shoyu King ramen and Miso King ramen with a glass of green tea umeshu to wash it down. The umeshu was lovely. Sweet but had an earthiness to it. The takoyaki was plush and tender. Hot af, like any good takoyaki should be. The sauce on top was a bit too salty but overall a good app.The Shoyu King ramen had a wonderful broth and tender noodles. My only complaint and the complaint of my friend with her dish: the meat was cut too thick so it was dry. But still, we enjoyed our offerings on a bone chilling day.Service was serviceable and we left satisfied. Not the best ramen in the city, but well worth a stop by if you're craving ramen in the area!

Shinjuku Ramen in New York is a solid spot for a comforting bowl of tonkotsu ramen. Honestly we only came here because the line at Kin Ramen nearby was too long. Both my friend and I ordered the tonkotsu, and it delivered on richness -- creamy, flavorful broth with just the right amount of depth. The chashu was tender, and the noodles had a nice chew. The space is small but cozy, making it a good casual stop for a satisfying meal. Service was quick, and the portions were generous. While it might not be the absolute best ramen in the city, it was a decent spot if you're craving something warm and hearty

The tan-tan ramen was okay, I had better elsewhere. The place is clean and the service is okay. They do have a lunch special. For this area, the food is a reasonable price. But when I asked for hot tea which most restaurants offer. They did not mention, that it was a charge of 8 dollars.

The weather has been getting cold, so for dinner, I thought it was perfect to get a hot bowl of ramen. I stopped in before 5 pm, not thinking that it would be crowded. I was a bit surprised to see the place packed. I supposed everyone else had the same idea. After about a 15 min wait, I was seated at one of the small tables near the entrance. Since this place serves Hakata style ramen, I went with their tonkotsu ramen. I went with the usual pork chashu, but you can get it with chicken breast. I also ordered edamame. It was a good bowl of ramen and definitely hit the spot. Service was friendly, however a little slow. It was understandable as there appeared to be only 2 waitresses. Not sure that they could add more staff as the place was small with barely any space for waiting customers.

Solid 3 for a non- Japanese ramen shop. Somehow the broth is just not as rich as say (Ichiran, ippudo, even the Totto chicken bone broth)... Got 2 classic tonkatsu ramen (very standard - white noodles - as my Gen Alpha kid goes... mid.) also got the gyoza, ok. Spicy miso - yellow wavy noodles - also ok. Total $82 (w/ tip)Feels like this spot might be catering to tourists more than locals... service is good, ensures you have all your necessities - bottle of water for self refill, utensils w the big wooden spoon (unnecessary), and decor is trying too hard with Japanese street theme... like Hoppy street. If you need food and around the area, it's a sure bet.

Sweet little Ramen spot in Midtown. The soup is very good and the ambience inviting. Great place to tuck in for delicious broth, a cup of sake, or some dumplings. Service was attentive and the price was reasonable, especially considering that it is midtown.

We were looking for something warm to eat and was craving ramen. The closest place nearby was Shinjuku Ramen and luckily they had some seats for us even though we didn't have a reservation. I ordered the ramen and it was one of the good ones I've had in NYC, but not the best. I definitely needed ramen to satisfy my cravings and enjoyed it. The service met my expectations where the staff took our orders in a timely manner. Ambiance was good with lots of seating areas for customers. My only con is the long wait for the one bathroom they have in the restaurant.Food: 3/5Service: 4/5Ambiance: 3/5

We loved our meal at Shinjuku Ramen. The shishito peppers we got were perfectly cooked. Both of us got the veggie king ramen, which we found delicious and filling. I would recommend stopping here if you are in the area for some good ramen on a chilly day!
