If you love hand rolls, i'd highly recommend! These were fresh and flavorful! I'd recommend ordering one of their sauces.. all are yummy! Our party of 3 was seated immediately on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. (I could see this place having a wait since seating is rather limited) The restaurant had a very simple layout with three sides of the open sushi counter available for seating. Very yummy, would recommend if you're looking for something refreshing and light among the many options inside the Tin Building!

Really great sushi spot nestled within Tin Building. You're just close enough to see everything going on, but just far enough to get some quiet and enjoy your meal.We came here for lunch on a Saturday, presumably while the rest of NYC was enjoying brunch, because there were only a few other people here. No tables - just sushi bar, and that's the best way to do it.We went for it on drinks, I opted for a glass (which ended up being two) of the Louis Roederer champagne, and my dad went for the French Pinot. Both clocked in at nearly $40 a glass, but paired so well with the food we got.Speaking of, we started with edamame (nice spice) and the shrimp cakes (delicious, with extra flavor when dipped in soy. We also got 4 rolls - yellowtail, spicy tuna, salmon avocado, and the dragon. Honestly, hard to pick a favorite...but I am torn between the dragon and salmon avocado.Everything was super fresh, service was excellent, and although lunch ended up bring pretty pricey...I blame it on the drinks.

We tried the Omakase 12 course and it was outstanding from date to finish. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We loved interacting with the chef, we were mesmerized by his attention to detail. We loved it. Thank you, Chef.

When visiting New York there are things you expect, after all this is the home to Spiderman, The Avengers, Dare Devil and some great Jazz. But the food, is always part of the draw of the big apple, specificaly bagels, pizza, and a host of other dinning options. So yes I'm out here deep in these cuisine streets today!! I had to visit the seaport area today for work, Pier 17 specifically and Shikku located inside the Tin building was an absolute delight. If you are a sushi fan, this is a spot that should be on your list. My server Pamela was solid, the service was great. However the sushi was the star of the show! Let's start with the miso soup... Wow, the mushrooms and avocados along with everything else added to it brought it to life in a way I absolutely can say, I've never had before. It was delicious! I ordered the Salmon Avocado and the Ell Roll and both were beautifully presented. Now as I was ordering Pamela mentioned that the salmon in their rolls, is King Salmon and if you are not a normal consumer of salmon, you may not understand that subtle difference. Let me tell you my taste buds knew immediately. These two rolls were married with their flavors perfectly but the degree of taste and freshness of the seafood used to prepare the rolls was amazingly the game changer. Your tummy and taste buds will not be disappointed. The only down side to this location is only counter seating is available. Well as least as I could see. In the end Oleta Adams that bitch, "I don't care how you get there, get here if you can" for those of you that don't know who that is Google it, that's another morsel of sage advice for yo ass!

Loved the intimate atmosphere, bar seating, and quick service. We ordered cocktails (specialty old fashioned and cherry spritz), appetizers (gem salad and edamame), and finished it off with 3 sushi rolls (spicy tuna, salmon avocado), peaky crab. We really enjoyed the food and our waiter Peter was attentive and helpful with recommendations. This is a great spot and we will definitely come back!

Sos the omakase. It was pretty underwhelming except for a few pieces here and there. They messed up the first course and weren't able to serve what they intended so they substituted it with something else. Some pieces were fresh others were mediocre. Not sure it's worth the price given the prices that were served. The service however was top notch. The place is indeed very small and reservations are mandatory. Even on a hot Wednesday night after work.

Though the place is clean, the sushi selection is awfully lame. I've had much better in places you don't even expect to find good sushi, such as AZ or TX. Price was reasonable but I'd rather pay three times as much for better quality sushi. I wouldn't waste my time as there are many of other options, especially in NYC.
