Shaking Crab - Williamsburg

The ABSOLUTE best in Brooklyn!!! The customer service and welcome from the very beginning to make reservations set the tone of excellence. Sophia assisted me over the phone with such a wonderful and welcoming attitude. When my family and I arrived she greeted us with an effortless smile. Pedro was our waiter and he was excellent as well! What topped everything off was the delicious and amazing food prepared by Chef Enzurt! The food tasted so different and flavorful than the other location I've been to over the years. So good that I had to meet and give him a personal compliment. Never had I tasted seafood so well prepared with love! Hands down Williamsburg is my new home for seafood. Highly recommended!

I was planning to go eat at the restaurant but ended up didn't go because I was sick, so I order delivery instead. Food came on time but somehow it leaked so bad outside the bag. I got Twin Lobster Tails: for the price, I feel it a bit higher price than another Cajun restaurant, plus it is kind of small. Snow Crab Legs: is good but I expected the sauce to be more spicy than oily. Overall, the food is good. I wish I could go to eat at the restaurant. It would be better.

I used to go to the shaking crab uptown when I worked in Manhattan, and it was the best service, food, ambiance period everything was great period I tried some of the other locations and they didn't quite measure up. So my fingers were crossed today when I came to this location. First off, It's not in Williamsburg. It's really Bushwick conveniently located on Flushing Avenue, I was able to find parking right out front and walked into one of the best musical playlists I've heard in a while. All of the music was appropriate for all ages, played at a respectable level: hip-hop, Soca, r&b, pop, and reggae! The space is small but accommodating, with incredibly friendly staff. The food is decent, as are the drinks, many notably Caribbean and Brooklyn themed. Happy hour is even available on Saturdays! (classic drinks are not included)Now to the food. Portions are lacking for some of the combos (i went with the Royal), precisely those with king crab how where the size of the snow and king so close? Especially when they were close to the same size! There is were about 10-12 peel, and eat shrimp (med - lrg size). In the mix as well, was one reg sized snow crab claw, one small king crab leg. A single slender leg. The food is boiled without seasoning and tossed into a bag together, after the fact. Its painfully obvious in the potatoes (mushy) and corn (sour), as they were overcooked and lacking good flavor. I ended up tossing the corn as it tasted off. Dipping the seafood in the sauce worked fine, and I stuck to just that.Aside from all of this, the thing that caught me of guard was the mandated 20% gratuity, plus tax, made a $62 meal $80. If I return, it will be for a very different combo and likely drinks.

The food was delightful! 10/10 Get the spicy seafood boil! The flavors were sooo good! I do not like clam chowder at all! It's usually watery and gross! This clam chowder however was Amazing!!! I'm glad it was on the prefix menu because otherwise I wouldn't get it!5 stars The drinks we had were the:FISHERMAN PUNCH (blue drink)KINGSTON PUNCHBoth were strong BUT I'm a sucker for a sorrel mix so the Kingston Punch was my favorite!Pleaseeee get the mac and cheese! I was stuffed and still ate that whole thing!

Very nice location, away from the busyness of the city but not too far where it's a burden to drive. The food was amazing the drinks took you to a place in the islands...Jaffer's recommendation was spot on. The server, Caiden I think his name is, was very nice. The owner was also very welcoming and accommodating. With that being said, there's room for improvement. The crab legs and shrimp with head on were not fresh. You know when seafood isn't fresh because the shrimp consistency was soft and disintegrated easily, so a lot of them we had to throw in the bucket. And they weren't cleaned properly. The crab shell were very dry and the meat was dry as well which indicates it not being fresh. Do not order the fried corn because is was super oily and the corn was so dry. I thought it was going to be breaded and juicy inside like it looks on the menu but it wasn't. The garlic noodles were so salty! We had to return them. It was like they poured a ton of salt in it. The Mac and cheese was ok could've been cheesier. The star of the show was the catfish! Fried and seasoned to perfection! 10 out of 10!Their house sauce for the boil could've been better. Something was missing like some type of herbs or garlic or something. The drinks were good, and the ambience was nice with soca and reggae music playing. I would come back, hopefully they improve on some things that I pointed out.

Wow the shaking crab wow !! Flavor on top of flavor !! I've been looking for a good spot like this for a long time !! I recommend the lobster mac and cheese it was delicious. Played some good tunes while me and my son ate 10 out of 10 we will be back !!!

I'm nice again impressed by my experience at this location. Kind, personable staff, delicious drinks, and a laid back atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back.

Walked in before some people and they were served before me. I had to wait an hour for my food not sure if the server remembered to order my food or what the issue was. Once finally fed, food was extremely cold even the corn on top of the jumbo seafood platter we received (the mistake I made ordering smh) the food was not seasoned at all. Crab was overcooked to the max and not to forget after an hour wait my food was cold! The only good thing I had was the wings and fries that I ordered that were thankfully hot. I don't recommend this place at all to anyone. On top of all that I was charged $10 for NY state tax whatever but $25 for a 20% mandatory tip charge is insanity. Waste of money. My total went from $128 to $164 all in additional charges.
