It's hard to find authentic sukiyaki but Shabu Tatsu does it (with the raw egg and all). The moment you walk in, you feel transported to Japan. Service was amazing - they cooked the beef for the sukiyaki for us. Perfect for the winter. Would absolutely come back.

We made reservations and were seated very quickly. I think if we did not have reservations we would have still been seated fast. If you want the experience of Japanese Shabu this place does give you a no frills experience. There was nothing overly special about the quality or food but it was right in line with what I expected.

authentically Japanese and straightforward Shabu Shabu. Everything was of nice quality for a reasonable price. the sauces were good and came with the traditional toppings. The free ice cream was actually so good and they served us a comforting hojicha with dessert. Pretty great for $50 per person including tip.Store is cozy and clean, and the wait staff were efficient.

Service was fabulous & food was very good. We had shrimp, pork, chicken breast, chicken thighs, & vegetables. Other than the meat, limited gluten free options. There is no gluten free salad dressing & no tamari soy sauce. All sauces are not gluten free as well.

A cozy joint, it's bright and clean inside. Reservation definitely recommend! My friend and I had a nice shabu shabu dinner. We ordered the Prime Rib Eye Beef and Shrimp. Good quality beef and shrimp were fresh (bouncy texture). We also got the Beef Tongue Bibim Bap which was really flavorful, I am a big fan and love the crispy layer of rice from the hot stoneware.

It's a cute place, but it felt a bit pricey for hot pot. We ordered the Sukiyaki, which is a bit sweeter but we liked it! With the meat it tasted so well with it. There are pretty limited toppings but once you order, they cook everything for you and it kind of seems like art when they do so! It was fun watching them put the ingredients together in the pot. Each portion would give a salad, rice, and ice cream in the end.

Excellent food but no more green tea icecream? A big mistake. Please put it back with the dinner. Comfortable seating and private. Service excellent. But no more hooks for the winter coats? Renovation seems not too practical.

This place was honestly some of the worst shabu I have ever had. My husband and I have family in Japan and I have had shabu all over the world and this is the first time I have ever felt inclined to write a review because it was so bad. First off, it's cooked in plain water instead of broth meaning it has absolutely no flavor or seasoning. The service was also super uncomfortable and unhelpful; they watched us our entire meal to the point that we felt like we were being monitored. And to top it all off, it was incredibly expensive for what we got. Apologies to this place but I strongly do not recommend.
