Had such a pleasant experience. Had a long rehearsal that morning and ran over to Senya for lunch. The noodles were thick! The broth was rich! The salad was green! The space felt warm and inviting. Deeply appreciated the midday quick and loving service. Until I return!

Second visit in half a year, and the food was still sooooo good! The bone marrow and mazemen were as delicious as I had remembered. We also tried the chirashi box and really enjoyed it. I wanted sake that was plum flavor, and our waitress recommended one that was absolutely perfect for what I was looking for. The main reason for this updated review is to show my appreciation for the staff. Service was so kind and attentive! Really enjoyed our dinner experience.

Daydreaming about SenYa's Uni Scrambled Egg with Sturgeon Caviar. I was impressed by this love restaurant and would highly recommend it! The ambiance is nice and good for catching up. The freshness and creativity in every dish are unparalleled for their price rage

Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for restaurant week. The fixed price is $60 which is worth it for the food you get. I ordered the Uni scramble egg with caviar, chirashi box, and green tea ice cream. My friend got the Truffle Filet Mignon, Uni truffle bone marrow and Yuzu cheesecake. I had tried to change the reservation a few days prior but they declined. I can see why as the place is pretty small and cozy. The food came out quick and we were out of there in less than an hour.

Cute, extremely hidden restaurant that really only fits like 7 small tables inside of it. My roommate and I came for restaurant week and once the first course came out, the kitchen was able to bring out everything pretty quickly! We came at 6:30PM on Sunday and around the 1 hr mark they started really rushing us to get another table in which is not something we were notified of at the beginning. For the first course, I got the black miso cod (10/10 I love miso glazed anything!) and my roommate got the filet mignon with truffle (8/10 was a little dry)For the main course, we both got the chirashi which was beautifully presented! I wasn't a big fan of the eel since it was drier than I like which was unfortunate since I love eel! Everything else was really good but it was weird because some of the rice tasted better than others. I also asked for extra ginger and they brought me some of that too! For dessert, we both got the red bean ice cream which was a great way to end the meal.Overall it was a great meal. I'm not in a huge rush to come back before trying out other sushi places, though!

SenYa is honestly my best kept secret when it comes to Japanese food and sushi in NY. I love how understated it is when it comes to the look of the place, however the service is kind and giving and the food makes you question where you are.I usually get sushi however I've tried their miso black cod which is grilled perfectly. I got the chefs choice sashimi recently and my- the quality supercedes some of these fancy omakase places, and when you pair it with the price you, like me, will end up keeping it secret for a very long time. This is the kind of place you become a regular at, and can always count on consistent food quality and service.

A small, intimate, and cozy restaurant with delicious food. We were able to snag a reservation for 2 at 8:15pm on a Friday. It was pretty quite inside considering how packed it was. Chirashi Box - every single element in this box was DELICIOUS. My favorites were the truffle salmon and the shrimp with roe. The sashimi seriously melts in your mouth.Snow Crab Mazeman - WOW. A generous portion of the most creamy, umami noodles with fatty and flavorful bone marrow on the side. SO SO GOOD.

This place was good. The ingredients were top notch, the fish was super fresh and perfectly picked. The meats were so melting and the umami was bursting with flavor. The flavor profile of the dishes were intense a lot of time overpowering. But honestly it was good and different which made the experience so much better. The restaurant and atmosphere is small but it definitely looked super fancy and special. I love the flavor profile of every dish I had and also the amount of fish they give was generous. You can tell the chef definitely cared about his dishes. Would come here again for special occasions cause this place was a gem.
