The place is inconspicuous - it didn't have a huge sign -- which would have helped me .. clearly I'm not from New York But you go down the stairs- and the atmosphere is chic and hip.. I enjoyed the bar setting- the patrons were livelyI tried the drunken nachos-- beans on the bottom, a white cheese and pico - it was simple and delicious- whatever queso sauce they use is fingerling on good. I ordered a side of spicy green sauce which also good. My girl and mom split the pork carnitas plate and they love it-- they didn't even say a word- just biting away

Service 10/10Ambiance 10/10Food Look 10/10Food Taste 1/10Starting with making the reservation, there is no one to call so you have to make a reservation online. The phone number listed doesn't work. When trying to find the restaurant, there are zero signs indicating where it is so you're guessing that the one place that says taco (inside the restaurant) is the correct location. We were sitting by the windows so we could tell others were having the same issue. Because we were by the windows, we were freezing because of the draft that kept coming through the glass. The restaurant's atmosphere was amazing and our server Mikey did an incredible job (he himself gets the 2 stars that I gave this restaurant). When we arrived, we didn't realize it was a prefix menu for Valentine's Day since there was no indication online about it and no way to call to ask about it. The menu was also not organized in the best way so we had to ask for a clarification on how it was going to work.Due to us being vegan and vegetarian, we had to ask for accommodations which they happily provided however the food taste was extremely mid. We received the corn and the only flavor was from the cheese (which I ate). The spice was just spicy with no taste so it wasn't pleasant to eat. We wish it had more than just lime juice on the side. Same with the tacos, it looked great but the flavor wasn't there. At the end we ended up paying $90 for a meal where we were full but not satisfied. When it came to the bill, it also wasn't correct so we had to tell them to redo it. The restaurant has a ton of potential by adding more flavor to everything. All the other aspects were great but because of the main reason that we came not being great, we aren't sure if we'd come again. Btw: we had the chamoy beer which was amazing!

Seeyamanana is a Mexican fusion spot that is quite hidden - it's in a basement so look down!!I appreciate the variety of vegetarian options on the menu, but I was a tad let down. I liked the Vegan Fish tacos (did not taste like fish but they had a great flavor), the Frozen Colada, and the Prickly Pear cocktail. The Nachos were solid and the Queso Fundito was decent but got cold pretty quickly. The Empanadas, Mushroom Tacos, and Elotes were pretty subpar.

My friend and I were so excited to try this spot but were left extremely disappointed. The server forgot to put our order in for the first hour and when she finally did, she again missed one of the entrees and brought out the wrong item. No apology and a 20% tip pre-added to the bill. Food was okay and drinks left a lot to be desired. Very overpriced too. Really did not live up to the hype.

Amazing happy hour, but wish the menu was longer. Great deals. Great service. Regular drink menu is a tad pricy.

It's fine. A little crowded and tucked into a sub-basement type area. We each tried a cocktail and while they were good, they didn't exactly blow us away.Service outside the bar is extraordinarily slow. We lucked out when a couple left the bar and we grabbed their spot as our original waiter seemingly disappeared after he handed us menus. The bartender was nice and we were able to enjoy our drinks before departing elsewhere.

Amazing Happy Hour Margs, amazing tequila selection, amazing service, amazing ambiance, amazing playlist and the award goes to..... THE FOOD OMG I will be back again and again. If I could give more then 5 stars I would. My only issue was a snobby caucasian family that brought their BABY to the bar. A BABY(3 yrs old max) ... demanding to be served at the bar... The staff informed them they have to wait for a table and handled them appropriately. I really hate when customers act a certain way with service industry.

This place is definitely inconspicuous. I also think it was called something else. But you go down stairs into the basement bar. Super fun and great service. Got seated even though we didn't have a reservation. The happy hour has great deals. Nachos were $11 as were the margaritas. Just be prepared because the nachos are very messy but very tasty. Margaritas were really good and the service was great.

I love it when places are nice AND cool and Seeyamanana is one of the best places for cool niceness (or nice coolness) that I've ever been to.Coming down the stairs to this quasi subterranean place, you immediately feel like you're entering a different world...something that is an open secret but still feels a little bit like lambada...the forbidden dance! Came here for drinks before dinner with friends and from the second we walked in we felt welcomed. Music was great and the bartenders were great. My old fashioned was supremely delicious. What more can you ask for, with a wonderful atmosphere, great music, stellar service and outstanding drinks? I loved it.

I'm a big fan of Mexican and this place did not live up to the hype. First they had a fixed menu for valentine that was overpriced.Guac and chips were good however Caesar salad tasted like grass, my chicken taco was covered in grease, and to top it off the flan was tasteless. Our waiter was nice but only checked on us once and didn't fill our water although we completely ran out. Overall service was unorganized we waited long periods of time the person bringing the food seemed confused on what table to serve. The ambiance is more for a bar vibe.
