Sea Witch

While looking for a place to sit and have a beer while waiting for my family, I happened upon this gem accidentally!Didn't get a chance to taste their food (as we had dinner reservations elsewhere), but the menu looked great, and their drink selection was good too!Loved, LOVED the vibe here, the look and feel of the place was cozy, chic and friendly. Hope to stop by again when we're in the area!

I love this bar! I love the fish and the turtles, I love the food, I love the beers. Tried an interesting tomato beer last time I was in with some girlfriends. A solid spot, I've been patronizing for years and can't recommend it enough.

Service at the bar is pretty terrible so don't expect service with a smile. The bartender was too busy chilling with the blonde chick when I was there and observing the fish.The line chef tries his best but the food is a step below McDonald's. I got the filet o fish and it was two frozen fish patties with a cheap amount of tarter sauce and sad lettuce and tomato. It was a sad looking sandwich. I give this place three stars for trying on the part of the line chef but the bartender has a stuck up attitude for south slope. Sucky ambiance and unwelcoming bartender / beware

has an in/outdoor seating; the AC was blasted indoor so it was a bit cold. there's a kitchen once you come in but we didn't get to try the food. Though the ambience was chill vibes, the music was a bit too loud and obviously patrons were loud as well, couldn't really hear each other. Maybe we'd try the outdoor seating next time.

Hallelujah, the full food menu has returned to Sea Witch! When we first went in 2020 they'd narrowed things down to some safe but kinda boring options, so I was pleased to see it restored to its full glory on a recent visit. I really enjoyed my fried oyster po'boy, and my friends liked their popcorn shrimp, pork schnitzel sandwich, and burger.Food aside, the bar has such thoughtful decor and chill vibes, from the very cool ship-inspired exterior and gorgeous fish tank behind the bar to the open and relaxing backyard, complete with ample seating and a mini waterfall with actual fish swimming around in it.I'm sure they do quite well for themselves in winter, but their patio's really the highlight once that warmer weather kicks in.

The guy barely looked up from his phone to take our order. $15 for a White Castle sized fish sandwich with one piece of old romaine lettuce (you know the part you usually throw away) thrown on the fish. And it doesn't even come with fries or a pickle . $15 for that!!! What a joke!

Lousy food, indifferent service, overpriced, basically nothing right about this place.

TL;DR: food is pretty good! Service was pretty terrible and the bar was *way* under staffed. Really wanted to like it but probably won't be back. Bummer. Honestly, the food is pretty good for bar food. The cook on the grill is great and pretty fast... *if he gets the order* and that's a big IF. The person taking orders was... not great. They spoke so quietly (mumbled) that I had to ask them to repeat themselves and lean over the counter just to be able to hear their questions. My little buzzer never want off, but my friend's, who ordered after me, did. So when I went to go check in on my order it was sitting on the counter with another patron signing their bill, leaning over my food, with their face/mouth about 7 inches away from the burger and fries that I was just about to eat... The burger itself was good! The service - not so much. My other party member never had their buzzer go off and when they went to inquire... it turns out that their ticket had fallen behind something on the counter and never made it to the cook. The cook came over to the counter himself and asked what it was supposed to be and made it super quick... *and it was good!* (popcorn shrimp and tomato & cucumber salad ((mid July))) THE BAR: it was trivia night and there was only one bartender who was completely overwhelmed. Not their fault but definitely a staffing issue.

Nice place. Was my alternative choice as the restaurant we wanted to visit was hosting a party. Food was tasty and nicely priced. We enjoyed the backyard and had lively conversation with another family. Will go back if I'm in that area.

Flavor is there! Delicious fish sandwich and fries. Crispy and very well made. The size/portions birder on a rip off. I wish the filet was a meatier piece of fish and another handful of fries would have been nice. Missing a whole star because of this
