Great Thai spot in the city! The interior is lovely and modern, great for a date spot or catching up with friends. They also have a bar area if you only want to get drinks. Friendly and attentive staffs even though they were really busy during dinner. My friend and I loved the food and drinks here! For drinks, our favorites were the lychee martini, mamaung margarita (on the sweeter side) and espresso martini. As for food, we loved the curry puffs and Pla Rad Rink (whole fish with bones). The special pad Thai with prawn was good but nothing spectacular, would recommend regular pad Thai instead of paying extra for the large prawn. Will be back to try other items on their menu!

Excellent setup, quick service, low noise levels, and nice interiors is what we noticed as we did a last minute walk-in at this place. The place wasn't busy and we got a very comfortable seating and got straight to ordering.Food overall was very tasty and the Tom Kha ($11) is a must try if you enjoy a tangy flavor. I tried the Mock Duck Tamarind ($24) from their Vegan section and enjoyed the dish. A little on the sweeter side to my liking, but pretty well balanced when you add a little spice to it. The mock duck felt like it was made from soy protein and has a good chew to it! One cannot go wrong with the traditional Gang Daang ($22) which was fairly coconut milk forward but was tasty (and not spicy).Service is quick and food arrives within 20 minutes of ordering.

Sabai has everything from delicious food to intimate ambience for a more upscale vibe Thai food restaurant! The interior is very romantic and has an atmosphere for a special dinner, but I could see myself coming for any occasion at any time of day. Service was amazing as we stayed til closing for a birthday dinner Their cocktails were delicious, and appetizers were perfect for sharing. The crispy shrimp was good, and we also got to try their platter. For my entree, I got the pineapple curry with crispy duck and I could seriously drink that curry with how sweet and flavorful it is. The duck is also a good addition and comes juicy and crispy just as advertised. Can't wait to come back again soon and try other dishes...but honestly will probably order that same dish again!

***Nice Ambiance, Great Service, Resys Recommended***The sampler is a must try and can be shared across three people. It's a place I'd recommend to catch up with friends or a date spot. The music was a bit loud but tolerable. I'd recommend reservations because it was fairly packed on a weekday.

The massive construction (noise and all) outside didn't keep people from coming to this tucked away Thai restaurant in the flatiron district. We had a7:45pm reservation for 10 which we made online for a Thursday night. Reservations are a must here. \When we arrived, we found the waiting space for our table to be quite cramped. Not much room for people to stand and wait aside from the side bench that'll fit about 3 adults. The dining space itself is not that big either. The bar, itself, lines one side of the restaurant. The atmosphere was quite noisy. So heads up, you'll be speaking loudly across the table and next to your seat partner to be heard. Aside from the cultural details this place had mood lighting. It can be hard to appreciate the dish details and services because of the noisy ambiance. Still we always try to be objective. Food was okay. It wasn't so extraordinary that it pulled me away from my hard to have conversations with those in our party. It does look quite delicious when they first bring it out. The food plating is quite nice. It's a nice place to have some Thai if you are craving it. Would we feel different if we came during a less busy time? Price was okay so trying this place again is a possibility.

We waited a long time between our appetizers and our entrees to the point where an hour meal service became over two hours long when the restaurant was only half full. The food is ok, but not worth a two hour wait. The wait staff did apologize and provided complimentary fried ice cream. However, the fried ice cream took a long time to come out as well increasing our meal service time again. I would have rather had one of our dishes comped instead of the less than mediocre ice cream that came out. It was disappointing because I have come here in the past for special occasions, but will not be returning due to the bad service this visit.

We had a small reunion for 8 here. Inside was decorated nicely. There's only one unisex bathroom so there might be a wait.We were seated right away even though it said that we would be seated once all our party was there. We ordered drinks first. I got the mango Thai iced tea. It was fruity and refreshing but I didn't taste mango. It was still good. I had the grilled pork. The rice was interesting with fried garlic. The pork chop didn't have any bones. It was grilled nicely and came with a side of sweet sauce. We also shared some steamed dumplings. The wrapping was thin with lots of meat. They were attentive keeping our glasses filled.A friend traded some duck meat for some pork from her pad ew see. I was surprised at how big the pieces of duck were. They were fatty and tender. The food here is good if a little expensive.

(Overall: B) - Sabai Thai is an upscale thai restaurant with innovative dishes, a few of which catch my eye. I found their price regime to be a bit higher than most, but the quality of food seems reasonable. Quite a decent option to revisit for sure.(Tiger Prawn Pad Thai: A) - This is a well made Pad Thai that hits all of the bold flavor notes I look forward to from this dish. I like that they elevated this dish with an omelette wrapper and showcased an entire beautiful tiger prawn that was tender and delicately fried.--Food: +1Presentation: +1Price: EAtmosphere: EService: EMenu: +1Overall: +3 BInsta/Beli/TikTok: @amei_eats
