shoutout to my friend who was able to secure a weekday lunch reservation at rubirosa! I was there early so I ordered for the table - we had the rubirosa salad which was so fresh and tasty (love the tomato and mozz balls in there) and paired excellently with the balsamic. We went for the half tie dye and half rubirosa supreme and both were excellent. The vodka sauce is definitely what they were known for, I haven't had a more flavorful slice in a hot minute. The slice was INCREDIBLY thin and in truly don't know how they manage to make it that thin. Great pizza spot! I would come back day in and day out for the excellent service, and the delicious pie.

The Tye Dye pizza here is one of the best in the city!! The thinness, the ingredients, the flavor...everything was a 10/10. We also got the baked clams (nothing special), the Bianca pizza and the honey pie. The other pizzas were good too, but trust me when I say you can't pass on ordering the tye dye. Service was excepcional! Very attentive and friendly. It gives you the feeling of eating a homie meal. They only had one bathroom so we had to wait a long line just to wash our hands. I will recommend making reservations but they also accept walk-ins.

This was probably one of my favorite restaurants during my trip here. It was my first time dining here and I had a great time. I have had their pizza to go, and it was delicious, but having it in the actual restaurant was an experience itself. While the space is tight, it is surprisingly had more seating than I thought it would. The lighting is on the dimmer side, but it added ambiance to the place. I must take note that there is only one bathroom, so be prepared to wait in line. Our table ordered a variety of dishes, of them my favorites were: meatballs, tie die and honey pie pizzas, lumache alla vodka, and the calamari. I don't typically find myself craving pizza, but ever since I left NY, I've been thinking about Rubirosa's because that's how much I liked it. The pasta was amazing too, we went with the server's recommendation and it is popular for a reason. I already love vodka-sauce, but this one was so good! I will definitely be coming back here for my next trip to NY.

Rubirosa is still my favorite pizza place in nyc. Whenever I have friends visiting from out of town, this is definitely the spot I take them. I had some first time visitors so I made reservations for a late lunch at 3pm. The place was packed even at 3pm. We got the large rubirosa supreme, the family rubirosa ragu and the lasagna for 2. Everything was delicious! The ragu was so good and the lasagna was definitely more than enough for 2. The rubirosa supreme is my favorite pizza of all time. The perfectly thin crust, roni cups and Italian sausage. Yum! Chefs kiss.

Honest review of RubirosaStopped in at Rubirosa's pizza located at 235 Mulberry Street NYC and all I can say is, this is my kind of pie! I ordered mine with Mozzarella cheese, Vodka sauce and Sausage....it was so crisp you can hear it with each chew, yet the dough was light and fluffy in the middle, under carriage had a little char and that vodka sauce was on point! I liked it better than Chrissy's but not better than L'Industry! Enjoy the pics

Updating to 5 stars after dining here in person (not via DoorDash). The pizza - we had the original - when consumed right out of the oven, was one of the top 5 I've ever had. The thin, crisp crust and that sauce.. oh that sauce. We also got the ragu pasta (amazing, I could eat the sauce all day long) and got a salad with chicken to balance out all the carbs.Note: We arrive around 11 am on a Sunday morning and were able to get a table of 3 without a wait (reservations online are near impossible to come by).

After months of finding this place fully booked online, we tried our luck as walk-ins on Christmas Eve around 1pm. The wait was supposed to be 45 minutes, but a cancellation allowed us to get a seat after waiting only 20 minutes. The place looks tiny, but it extends along several rooms, so they have a decent amount of seats. All we had was pizza, so my review reflects just that. We got a large Honey Pie and a regular Fresca. They like their pizza super thin, here, and it wouldn't be a problem for me, except for the fact that it's over-baked. Don't get me wrong, I like crunchy. However, I think they over do it: the end result is a rather dry pizza with a rather burned crust. The spiced honey on the Honey Pie was barely noticeable and definitely not spicy. It was not a bad pizza (hence the 3 stars), but surely not worth the hype... or the price tag. I know my review won't change people's opinion about this place, and to a certain extent rightfully so... all I had was just their pizza. Nevertheless, I wouldn't order pizza here, and because of how difficult it is to get a reservation, I have little reason to return.

Definitely a very good pizza spot, but given the price point and the fact that Nee York has other really good pizza spots I wouldn't wait in an insanely long line for Rubirosa which I feel like a lot of people try to do. My group of 7 came at 11:58 on a Thursday for lunch and we were actually able to get seated immediately but if we came 10 minutes later we definitely would have had to wait. We got a large tye die and hot honey, and they were both pretty good! Both of them were pretty classic thin pizzas that didn't feel heavy or greasy. I particularly liked the tie dye, this is a must get if you come here. They also offer half and half pizzas if you want to try out more styles!

Rubirosa has made a name for itself in the diverse and expansive New York Italian scene and rightfully so. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable with an old school feel that transports you back in time. We came here for a weeknight dinner and the place was buzzing. We started with Calamari which was fried perfectly crispy without being overcooked. The breading was light and crispy and the marinara on the side was a great accompaniment. We also ordered the mushroom pasta which was just okay. I liked the umami of the mushrooms but didnt care for the runny sauce on the bottom. I was hoping for a creamier more cohesive texture. Tie dye pizza was a spectacle with the waiter coming out and making a big pesto spiral on the pie. A little theatrics indeed do go a long way. I loved the mix of vodka, marinara and pesto. It's not only visually appealing but also a tasty, well balanced marriage. Is it the best pizza in New York? No. I think the sauce is on the runnier side. I personally prefer more cheese on my slice, and for my pie to be a little more done in the oven. It made for great leftovers the next day though; once the sauce dried up during reheating a bit and the fresh mozzarella spent more time bubbling and losing it's moisture.
