My partner is from Bed-stuy, so when I said I wanted some ribs he took us here. I am not going to lie, good BBQ in NYC is atleast $$. We spent ~$60 for the two of us, which is still cheaper than some other restaurants.Food:4/5My partner and were starving . So, we were ready to order a feast.2 x Rib Dinners 1x half chicken2x waters1x banana bread pudding *a freebie*I was really worried when I heard dinner, because I can eat. So, when I saw that 6 to 7 ribs were in a set, I was relieved. It so came with corn bread, which outside of the ribs, were my favorite part. The chicken was good, just not my top two. I would definitely go again for a dinner with ribs, mac and cheese, and sweet potatoes.Services:5/5This was our first time here, so I came here with low expectations. I was instantly proved wrong by the male (owner?) Greeting us and helping us understand the menu. He was amazing and made sure I got enough ribs to not steal from my partner's . Everyone there was amazing and kind. All in all, I am definitely going back when I got a rib craving. The service was amazing, they were all so kind to us. Plus, the music was fire! Definitely a must try.

I've been coming here since they were on Halsey/Howard Ave. They're in a new place now but they need to upgrade the ordering system, it's antiquated, taking orders by pen and paper. It's a take out system so just enough space inside to order and get out. They have a few tables to eat at but, people are standing all around you. I'm a fan of their chopped BBQ/ribs, I tried something different this time. The string beans were good but a lil overcooked for me. The candied yams were good.

Royal Rib House is good. The food is really good. The stars are the ribs, chicken, chopped barbeque, collard greens, cole slaw and peas & rice. The Mac and cheese is still a lil watery and not cheesy to my liking so I avoid it. I also get the peach cobbler. The ordering system is still old school (talk to the person by the door who WRITES down your order). Try to go early afternoon on the Thursday or Friday because it won't be crowded. Anytime after 3 PM good luck with getting out within a hour after placing your order. There is a better way of taking and fulfilling the orders and I wish they would reach out to someone for assistance in that aspect. The long wait times is what is preventing a 5 star review.

I grew up on Royal Rib, back when they were Howard Ave. i love their food and Carole can "Burn"! They have also catered many events for me over decades and I and my guests have never been disappointed!I do wish that they would make it easier to order in advance and not have to wait on that line.

Tried this spot for the first time recently after walking past it for years. There's often a line outside, which always peaks my fomo. I ordered the ribs, mac and cheese and cabbage. The ribs were tough. As a Southerner, I like my ribs falling off the bone tender. The sauce was tasty, but a bit watery. The mac and cheese had good flavor, but the consistency was too mushy my taste. The cabbages flavorless. Cornbread was ok.

I really really wanted to like this place. Came here because I saw the IG post and wanted tl rry em put and show support. Got here roughly around 620 p.m., and it had a lot of customers waiting to order. About 10 minutes in, one of the employees said, "ribs will be out in about 20 to 30 minutes." i decided to wait, and sadly, that was a mistake on my behalf. What was supposed to be a 30-minute wait became 1 hour and close to 20 minutes longer of a wait. I remained because it made no sense to leave after waiting for so long. It seems like their ordering practice needs help. They take a lot of orders and place the order reciepts all over their front area. And when they started to prepare the meals. They seemed confused as to what order belonged to which customer. The other issue is that it seems like they only have 1 person responsible for the cutting of the ribs. On several occasions, the cook would bring the ribs out, they would remain untouched for 10 to 15 minutes until the guy who i think is the owner comes and does the work. They have a loyal fan base I can be sure as alot of customers knew many of the employees on a first name basis. I will say, the amount of food you get is alot. When I got home, i immediately had the ribs. They were thick, well cut but too drenched in their sauce, which, after a while, was too much to enjoy. The baked mac and cheese were ok. Nothing that made it stand out from others and it was a bit bland, to be honest. The collard greens were AMAZING. Cooked to perfection, and the flavor was not overpowering. In all, I cant say that I would try this place again. For the amount of wait I had to endure, the pay out wasnt enough. But I will say, that it was during dinner time which is probably why the wait was so long. Also the young lady who took my order, kindly gave me some cobbler on the side as compensation for the wait which was really nice of her. I will say though, folks should still give this place a try. Support local businesses if you can please.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The resturant is somewhat new to my neighborhood. Therefore, I wanted to give it a try. The service is the worst and it trickles down from the owner. He's rude AF and the staff follows suit. I ordered food and was given the wrong order, when I went back to express my concerns he "the owner " acted as if I was bothering him. The guy who prepared the order immediately said sorry, I realized I gave you the wrong order. Informed the owner he would replace it and the owner gave push back. To make things worse, the food was awful. Macaroni was horrible, potato salad runny and the bbq chicken chewy. Sad thing is it's black owned and I always try to patronize black owned businesses. But when they deliver below par quality and service, that's when I stop. Stay away from this place. Bedstuy Resident.

Meh, was there the other night. Let's start off with how bad and slow the service is. Placed my order, the cashier took down my name but when my order was ready never called it: they had it sitting down for 15 mins and thought I was going to be okay with it. They also tried to charge me twice, I had to let the other cashier know that I already paid. Oh and they assumed I was a door dasher. The light skin stud cashier wasn't nice.

I saw this restaurant on The Dig, I was so excited it was a family-, Jason Barnett talked about all the foods I loved and that it was cooked from scratch. I don't live in the neighborhood by it was close by I couldn't wait to get a chance to try the food out. I went on Saturday; everyone was nice a friendly. After I got my food home it was the worst food I have eaten. The macaroni & cheese was so mushy and nasty tasting. The ribs and other food I could barely eat. I couldn't continue to eat the food. Money down the drain.SO DISAPPOINTED
