Big Rowdy - a reasonably big sandwich, not huge or anything. Very flavorful! I got it 'rowdy' spicy, and it was legit extra hot.

Overall rating: 4.9Absolutely underrated. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Indian x fried chicken?! C'mon. I went small and only got a lil rowdy sandwich & mango lassi. The Lassi was delightful and I will be coming back just for that. The service was really good and the ambiance was more of a takeout spot than sitting. The sandwich was soo and I'm very excited to go back and try other items.

I've been to rowdy rooster a couple of times now and that's saying a lot in a city with so many different spicy chicken sandwich options. I've always liked the unapologetic foods brand - adda is my first Indian restaurant in NYC - and I was excited to try a Indian inspired chicken sandwich and that's exactly what you get here. The flavors are explosive. The pao is soft, butter and delicious. And the mango lassi is thick and creamy - not watered down! When I came here the first time, I got the highest spice on my chicken sandwich and it was a delicious mouth tingling spice, but the more recent times, I believe they've toned it down since I barely taste the heat anymore and that's very disappointing. Note: small space and barely any seating options.

The food here is genuinely excellent, but come on -- how do you not offer free tap water at an Indian-fusion spot, especially when the dishes are spicy? It's like going to a bowling alley and finding outyou can't rent shoes. Or hitting up a coffee shop only to discover they don't have cups. Or staying at a hotel that charges extra for pillows. Or watching a movie at a theater where you have to bring your own chair. Or visiting a spa where they upcharge you just to turn on the hot tub.On top of that, they charge $1 per chutney--and they've axed the standalone chili chicken from the menu! It's giving private equity energy. Don't get me wrong -- the flavors are top-notch (esp the big rowdy sandwich), but it's the principle of the thing.

Tried the Big Rowdy with medium spice, which was the perfect level for me. Flavors on the chicken and sauces were delicious! Freshly fried chicken too. Only knocking a star for the bun, which tasted kind of stale. If they get a better bun for the sandwich, I think it would be pretty perfect! Good, fair price too at $12.

Rowdy rooster was a great find on a rainy day. It's a small pop in hole in the wall with seating for about 8. Very quick service and usually would be ideal for take out. Stayed to eat in store as it was raining. To the food. The sandwiches were quite amazing. I imagine the bowls would also hit as well. Very spicy (you can select spice level) and very flavorful. Great Indian fried chicken that would see me again

Food: If you come here - just get the Big Rowdy Sandwich. I got the chili chicken sandwich and it's really small, whereas for just $3 more you can get a filling meal. The masala fries felt kind of hard and flavorless. I didn't think anything was super special but it is a relatively cheap option for nycAmbience: The space is small but I appreciate that it has some seating. Service: The service was fast and I could tell that this is an easy village staple

I recently visited Rowdy Roaster, a delightful little spot that offers a unique twist on Indian fusion cuisine. Despite its small size, with only 4-5 settings, this restaurant packs a big punch in terms of flavor and atmosphere. The menu features an intriguing mix of sandwiches and bowls, all infused with vibrant Indian flavors. I tried the Lil rooster sandwich, and it was a fantastic experience. The chicken was perfectly marinated and cooked, bursting with spices that were both familiar and exciting in a sandwich format. If you're looking for something different and flavorful, Rowdy Roaster is definitely worth a visit. The fusion of Indian spices with classic sandwich and bowl options makes for a unique and satisfying dining experience.

Rowdy Rooster!.This Rowdy Rooster just smacked this white boy with a whole lot of spice and flavor. After seeing this spot all over insta and seeing a line all the time. I happened to pass by today with only 1 person in line so I decided to go in..It's a small fast casual spot with 3 tables. Mostly geared towards take out. The have a few sandwich and bowl options for a small menu..The food here surpassed my expectations. The flavor profile and combination of flavors is so good. I got the big rowdy sandwich and Marsala fries. Sand which kicks I also got the middle spicy option and wow I was seating prob pretty mild for those who can handle spice. The fries are made like cottage fries so they are round. I also got the hot tomato sauce on the side which was really good!.In short:- Small fast casual spot only 3 tables- Really good food, gotta get those fries!- I'll be back

Below average. Food was expensive. Small portion. Taste wasn't the best either. Popeyes even can season better chicken. The "masala fries" are just potatoes deep fried
