This cafe is really cute inside and good for working - it's dim and has lots of outlets. I also tried the sweet corn latte and liked it a lot! It comes with a little corn inside which I thought was fun. Great service and a cute spot to study or do work. I'd come again

So by day, this spot is a normal cafe. But by night, it apparently turns into a Korean street food stand. You go through the cafe and to the backyard, where there's a beautiful hut hiding a chef grilling up giant shrimp and mackerel. The seating is outdoor so dress warmly. There's some heating elements but not enough. The table seats are also a bit low so if you're not ok with that, make sure you snag a seat by the bar. We were a bit disappointed when we got there and they told us there was no pork belly or galbi. That was literally half the menu! Halfway through our dinner, galbi became available so we ordered a grilled one. The noodle soup and Oden were the best. Both was Seoul (get it?) warming. The giant shrimp was fresh and grilled nicely. The chicken fried rice tasted mostly like butter unfortunately. And the grilled galbi was 90% bone and no meat. All their cocktails are soju based. The cold brew cocktail taste like watered down coffee. But the soju mule was tasty. Overall I'll give these guys a 3.5. I'll come back for the vibes and good service. The chef offered us more broth as we were finishing the noodles. Maybe we'll try the other dishes next time assuming they're available.

Came here to check out the pocha concept. Food was good, definitely pricey for what it is (esp for the odeng and noodles) but you're paying for the vibes and real estate haha. They give you a little welcome shot to help warm you up.Braised pork belly: Tender, warm, flavorful and loved the buttery fried rice. Interesting choice pairing pork belly with hummus, not sure if it added to the dish but I have no complaints. Fish cake soup: Good umami in broth, tastes pretty much like what you'd get in the street carts in koreaMackerel janchi guksu: Mackerel was tasty and fatty in a good way! Broth not as flavorful as the fish cake soup but lighter. While the value for the food isn't quite up there, definitely go if you're looking to be transported to korea for a bit - makes for a cute date night!

Was excited to try a corn latte, and found this spot. Order at the window for to go, serviced by friendly and speedy staff. Sadly, the latte itself was underwhelming - it really just tasted like steamed milk topped with a rib of corn. Not sure if the season played as aspect, which resulted in a less flavorful drink. On the plus side, I suppose it means they don't add any extra sugar to the drink? We didn't try any other drinks or food, but might give this place another chance if in the area!

My friend and I quickly needed a brunch place before we departed the city. Despite it being a Saturday little before lunch, we were seated quickly at Round K by Sol. It looked simple at the front, but interesting in the back! It was dark and had interesting decor that reminded me of a speakeasy. It would make for a cute date spot with the flower centerpieces and comfy sofa like chairs!I had the Butter Covered Latte and KBBQ toast. The latte put me off at first because there's corn but it was highly recommended online so I got it, and actually really enjoyed it! It tasted like sweet corn bread in latte form. The KBBQ taste was good, but flavor was left to be desired. It was missing something, maybe a variety of spice? I enjoyed my experience here and am open to come back, but not sure how soon I'd be eager to!

Attention, dessert fans! As the climate improves, I suggest you visit Round K by Sol in Chinatown. This petite patisserie/ brunch spot offers its famed purple roll cake. Tasty alternatives such as bagel sandwiches are also on offer. Each of our dishes was below $20. Moreover, the eatery has recently introduced coconut water beverages to their drink list. It's perfectly seasonal. Furthermore, on pleasant days, they allow outdoor seating, providing excellent vistas and fantastic photo ops. scrumptious abundance of desserts

Back again, and absolutely love their food and drinks still but had to take a point off for service. When I entered, there was an unfriendly female worker who was I guess in charge of managing the indoor seating. I asked her I wanted to dine in and I had to wait about 10 minutes while she took her time going back and forth to clean the table from the previous customers. It was really hot in the waiting area too ): Indoor seating is pretty dark but this is the ambiance they create; there is free wifi here but I would not recommend for wfh. It took a bit to get someone's attention to put my order in, and I had to ask for some water. The dessert and drink came out pretty fast tho, and they did not disappoint! The space is a little tight inside as well as you sit pretty close to the person next to you and can hear a lot of the conversations. But still, I will come back as I love their corn drink and Round Purple (:

We had some ups and downs here, but the staff made it right. The food was lovely, I really enjoyed the soup. The pear cocktail was so, so good! Will go back and try some more dishes here.

July 8, 2024 - I saw this so much on instagram I knew I had to go. Definitely didn't disappoint. The owner (I think) he was so friendly and nice. We chatted with him for a bit. It was actually close to closing time and he offered to keep the table and chairs outside until we were finished. But we decided to walk around. Very nice of him to offer it though. The space is quite small. I didn't get to check the back area.My friend and I ordered the Sweet Corn Latte, it was creamy and delicious. A bit expensive, would I order it again? Maybe. I'll see when I visit NYC next time. I'll definitely try some food.
