Rocco's Italian Sausages & Philly Cheese Steaks

This place is a gem. Like it's not a huge place and it's located at a Home Depot parking lot, so VERY easy to just overlook. I've seen Rocco's but never really was curious about it. Thought it's just one of those places that people can get food quickly. Some colleagues took me here during our lunch break, raving how it's so good. Well, they were right! They stuff the philly cheese steaks with peppers and onions and would pile on the meat! I love how they would wrap the whole sandwich up but in two halves and wrapped separately. It makes it so much easier to each plus if you want to save one half and eat the other. It's filling in the best possible way. I do suggest you try to eat it right away, unless you like soggy bread. Staff here are very friendly as well. The cook gave everyone free samples of the Italian sausage. Unfortunely for me, I don't eat pork so I can't tell you how it was. But others were delighted with the sample and loved it. Would try again!

Roccos is located in the Home Depot parking lot. It is a little on the expensive side, which we didn't expect. The entrance is a walk-in where you can make an order, and to the right is a small set of outdoor tables. We ordered a chicken and cheese combo (#5 on the menu) and a hot and sweet Italian sausage (#2). Both came with soda and chips. The total cost was over $36.00. Would we go back and order them again? While the food was very good, outdoor dining prices were a little too high for us.

In our quest to find a killer hot dog in Queens, my partner and I stumbled upon Roccos in our research and decided to give it a shot. It felt only appropriate to go to Home Depot during July 4th weekend for a hot dog! It was pretty solid, and we also got the opportunity to try their sausage, which was good.There's a standing table inside, along with a couple picnic tables outside the joint.

My husband and I decided to grab a classic Philly cheese steak since we were in the area, we took it to go since it was cold and there's no real seating. The employees were super nice, they were quick and efficient. I guess they noticed my husband and I were going to share the sandwich, so they wrapped each half up separately, which was awesome! The Philly cheesesteak was solid, it was stuffed with meat, peppers, onions and cheese. The bread was nice and soft as well.This was a very heavy meal, not something I could eat often, but it it's the spot when you craving a Philly cheesesteak.

Back on a rainy and dreary Saturday night for their XLG Philly Cheesesteak and I must say, well worth the drive.My Cheesesteak was piping hot and bread super fresh and soft. I only wish my appetite was as big as my eyes.Always great bang for your buck and never disappointed. Staff is super friendly and they give out small sausage samples.

Who would expect one of New York's best cheesesteaks to be served out of a small kitchen in the parking lot of a Home Depot in Queens? Half the price of Fedoroff's and prepared in minutes right before your eyes, the cheesesteak from Rocco's is a treasure, one that must be eaten to be believed. My girlfriend and I split a large, peppers and onions, no frills or fancy fixin's. Served hot off the grill, I fought to remain patient, but ultimately burned my mouth a little on the first bite. Worth it! The shaved steak, juicy peppers and onions, tangy-but-sweet white American cheese, fresh hero roll come together in perfect harmony, an excellent take on this tried-and-true Philly classic. I redeemed the Yelp check-in offer for a free can of soda, pairing an ice cold Coca-Cola with my hot and delicious sandwich. Service was fast and friendly, prices are totally reasonable. While we will always cherish the hot sandwiches from our favorite neighborhood bodegas, Rocco's ranks with the heavy hitters of the city.

Never trust a place that doesn't have the prices listed!My prior visit, I ordered a double hot dog and instead got a single hot dog, cut in half. I felt ripped off, but I gave them a second chance.Stay away.

I have heard so much about this place. Being a foodie I love to try different places. I took a chance and drove over about 15 minutes from my house. They were very friendly and the food aroma hits you from the parking lot. I purchased the Philly cheesesteak combo. That consists of chips and soda. The price was pretty fair for how well they pack the sandwich.
