Decent pizza and pastas, I liked the flavor of their truffle gnocchi.Huge menu, about a 2/3 person pizza size, smaller pasta portions.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Ribalta, and it was disappointing. We had to wait as other parties passed us in line and were left standing in the cold before being seated. The open bar package, which we thought would be a great deal, only gives you one bottle per table until it's empty, and you can't order a different drink until then unless you have a good waitress. The food was also a letdown--contrary to what we expected, it wasn't family-style, but rather one piece of food per person. To top it off, we were seated behind the DJ booth, constantly moving to make room for the host and sax player. The host didn't even acknowledge my birthday until I made a point to notice me, and the vibe felt more like a place for underage drinkers who just wanted to sip wine all night.Additionally, we were told the open bar was $70 per person, but it turned out to be $80, and I have a screenshot for proof. By midnight, maybe 12:30, when I returned from the bathroom, our table was cleared, and our drinks were gone. The crowd was chaotic, with random people crowding around our space. If you're over 25, save your money and skip Ribalta's "Party"--it's just not worth it.

If you're in Union Sq and need affordable eats without a reservation, Ribalta's got the space and menu to satisfy your needs. We enjoyed a quick, hearty dinner here before watching Wicked. The Madrilena was one of the better "white" 'zas I've tried, and the classic Margherita Rossa didn't skimp on sauce or basil. My Mafaldine Al Ragù Napoletano was perfectly cooked and chock full of hearty red meat. I rarely see mafaldine paired with ragu in the city, so get this dish for the novelty alone.

The food and music was great! They played good music and also accommodated a large party for a birthday party. This is a great place to go out to dinner or celebrate a birthday!

Went with large group and preset menu of apps and personal pizzas. Enjoyed Brussels sprout, meat balls, and Salas as apps- liked the meatballs. Good/attentive service and had a good time. Good pizza- nice ingredients. Pizza was good and enjoyed. Great atmosphere and recommend going

I usually don't like pizza, but the pizzas at this place were amazing and really authentic. We asked our waitress to choose a meaty pizza for us, and the Madrilena was fantastic! The Stracciatella just melted in my mouth, and the flavor was perfect - not too salty. However, the branzino my partner ordered was a bit underwhelming. Our group loved the chicken parm. The service was attentive and fairly efficient, especially considering we were a party of 6. We were also given a section with our own table, which allowed us to enjoy some privacy.Cocktails were pretty expensive though at $18-20...but it wasn't at the speakeasy level.

I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews but sadly it was a disappointing experience for me and my group. It was a weekday and service was very slow. When they finally made it to our table they would rush us. They also never asked if we wanted another round and left us sitting at the table for awhile and upon return gave us the check. In terms of the food, I had the gluten free pizza and it was not baked long enough. I've had better. My friends all had different types of pastas and none of them finished it because they didn't enjoy it. The ingredients didn't feel fresh. Lastly, the atmosphere is a bit casual for the price of the menu items. I didn't visit the bathroom but was told it was freezing.

I was very disappointed in this pizza. As a tourist I was counting on some good pizza in NYC and this was soggy and meh.

This is probably my favorite spot for Neapolitan pizza in Manhattan. I had the commune, which came with some lightly sweet tomatoes and drizzled sauces. The crust was wonderfully chewy and baked just to the right amount without any excess grease, topped with just the right amount of cheese and a bright tomato sauce. I'll have to go back and try some of the more adventurous options next time.
