If you're a seafood enthusiast, Red Hook Lobster Pound is a spot you absolutely can't miss. From the moment you step in, you'll be greeted with a variety of mouthwatering seafood options that are sure to impress. Their lobster rolls are the star of the show--packed with fresh, sweet lobster meat and served in a perfectly toasted bun. The combination of flavors is incredible, and it's clear that only the freshest lobster is used. What truly sets this place apart, though, is their lobster mac and cheese. This dish is nothing short of decadent. The creamy, cheesy sauce is perfectly balanced with generous chunks of tender lobster, making it a standout option on their menu. It's rich and comforting, and you won't regret trying it.The ambiance at Red Hook Lobster Pound is just as great as the food. The laid-back, casual atmosphere is ideal for a fun meal with friends or a relaxed lunch. Whether you're sitting at one of the outdoor tables or inside enjoying the cozy vibe, it's a great place to kick back, enjoy delicious food, and have great conversations. Whether you're craving a classic lobster roll or want to try something a little more indulgent like the lobster mac and cheese, this place is guaranteed to deliver a memorable seafood experience every time.

We had to visit their flagship location after trying the best lobster roll I've ever had at their US Open event back in September. On this visit we ordered the main event for two which includes one appetizer, two lobster rolls and one dessert of your choice. For an extra $10 per roll you will get two ounces of extra lobster on your roll. For our appetizer we had the friend calamari with aioli sauce very good. For the lobster rolls it was the Connecticut rolls and to finish off we had the s'mores dessert.Plenty of tables and opened seating at the bar perfect for football Sunday. Service was great we will definitely come back to try their clam chowder which I hear is also best chowder.

Crab dip appetizer was luke warm at best, it should have been hotter. The accompanying chips were delicious.Lobster rolls were a good size for the regular portion but took forever to come out. The waiter was non-existent, a runner dropped the food but we had to flag down staff to get water, napkins. S&P, etc. What are we tipping for if you never check on your tables??Street parking is hit or miss, public transportation is just one bus. It's a tourist destination but too high priced to make this a regular hangout.

We visited Red Hook Lobster Pound in Brooklyn during their lobster week. For $25, you get a lobster boil dinner served with corn and potatoes, and they also offer special prices on select wines. The place was bustling for a Sunday dinner, so they recommended making a reservation for the event. To start, we had fried calamari served with lemon aioli and pepper relish. Our group all opted for the lobster boil dinner, and the lobster was huge, juicy, and meaty. It was very filling. This place is very casual, so be prepared to get messy.Overall, we found it worth the trip to Brooklyn to participate in Lobster Week. Our server was friendly and attentive. We will come sometime soon to try the other dishes on the menu.

Took my cousin here for her Bday dinner as her choice. Well it def was a waste of money. Drinks were decent. The food just garbage/trash!! Lobster Bisque no lobster at all!! Mussels were decent. Crab cakes were fishy hard dry and were binded with something green. The slaw apple salad with the crab cakes was disgusting! I did not eat it and the server removed it from my bill. The fried lobster roll was equally gross. My poor cousin was peeling off the batter which resembled the batter on sweet n sour chicken from the hood Chinese take out. Throw the wholeMenu and Chef away and start OVER!!! The prices definitely do not warrant the garbage food! Red Hook Lobster Pound should be ashamed to serve the dishes they served. Just Terrible!!!! Zero stars if I could!!!! Don't waste your time or money!!!

Big spot with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and service was fairly quick. We loved everything we had here! To share, we got the hot crab dip and the lobster mac. The lobster mac and cheese was out of this world - a must try!For mains we got the lobster crunch wrap, Connecticut lobster roll, and caesar salad with chicken. Everything was delicious, but the lobster roll was a standout. The arnold palmer was truly one of the best I have had. I highly recommend it to accompany such a savory meal - it was the perfect pairing. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Overall: Red Hook Lobster Pound has become a staple any time we visit Red Hook. My girlfriend grew up in Maine and is quite particular about her lobster. This is the only place outside of New England that I've convinced her to try. The venue is fun. They have lots of seating so they manage to get a ton of people through and minimize wait times. Its a well run restaurant with great food in a popular spot. We'll be back!Food: 5Drinks: 4Service: 4Value: 3Atmosphere: 5 Food: We each got the Connecticut style lobster roll. The rolls were stuffed full and the lobster was tender and fresh. The fries were warm and crispy and complimented the roll well. Drinks: We each got the Maine Lunch beer. Their beer selection was relatively expansive given the style of restaurant, and we were happy with our choice. Service: Our server was prompt and attentive. He didn't add anything particularly special, but he took our orders quickly, kept our drinks full, and checked in a few times. He checked all the boxes, but didn't do anything over the top.Value: The lobster rolls are good but pricey. They are served as either 4oz or 6oz. For Connecticut style, these were priced at $32/$42. They're filled nicely, but $42 is a lot even for a 6oz lobster roll.Atmosphere: This place is a fantastic place to pop into for lunch. Everything is lobster/marine/Maine themed. The indoor area is spacious and they have a ton of outdoor seating options.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the lobster rolls and lobster crunch wraps from Red Hook Lobster Pound at Smorgasburg, and I was blown away! The lobster rolls were packed with fresh, succulent lobster, perfectly chilled with a hint of lemon mayo that complemented the sweetness of the lobster without overpowering it. The lobster crunch wrap was equally impressive, with its flavorful chipotle mayo and fresh, crisp vegetables adding just the right balance. The seasoning was spot-on, bringing out the best in each bite. Highly recommend for anyone craving a taste of seafood perfection!
