I was looking forward to this bc I haven't had it for over 15 years, this was way too salty.
Tripe pork hock soup, super good!
Cubano sandwich from Ramonitas. So good!

The food is absolutely delicious and worth it! I'm a local so the young woman and older lady behind the counter recognizes me from church and around the way so they don't give me much attitude but let's not act like it doesn't happen! No favoritism here on my end. I can honestly say they are not the best at customer service. I've watched several things here fluctuate from their A to B grade, B back to A grade. $1.25 Alcapurias to now $1.75 Alcapurias. All in all it's still very much worth the cheap price. Cuchifrito will not give you a great tasting Relleno de papa or Alcapuria the way Ramona's do. Around the way and need a little appetizer or full meal? Look no further and come into the Moore Street Red Market and try our Ramona's. Patrons are allowed to sit for about 30 minutes and enjoy some of their food.

They are located inside the moore street retail market. Portions are huge spices done right but everything was wayyy too salty and beef and chicken was dry. I also had the chicken noodle soup with yucca instead of potatoes which was really good. I forgot to take pic of it. I would only get the soups and beans next time.

Oh ya! Love this place. Great food, great prices and fantastic people.Why stop anywhere else on my walk to Bushwick from Clinton Hill? Heck, I think I make the walk just so that I have an excuse to stop at Ramonita for a sandwich!

Been coming to this place since I was 2 y.o. We came from Puerto Rico & been coming here ever since! I too have been bringing my daughter since birth! I won't buy any alcapurrias anywhere else unless they're from here! I'm addicted to them! They always go sooo fast! That's their #1 request! They also have the typical delicious treats we all enjoy like: molcillas, bacalaitos, empanadas y relleno de papa! Can't forget the sancocho & mofongo it's to die for! I know this place don't look like much but it's the sense of community & sharing a meal or a drink with both young & older folks that gives this place its beat

If you are looking for an authentic Latin- Carribean business this is the spot. From the frituras to the pernil. Dammit even the coffe is that good relaxed ambiance will always make you feel right at home. An extremely unpretentious establishment Ramonitas is the truth.

My cuteness loves it here. He likes pernil, carne guisada, sancocho. Not five stars cause they often don't have the stuff on their menu. He also got a smoothie. He likes fruta bomba ;)
