I feel like it's getting better and better every time I come here. However I went on a weekend during lunch and they don't have the lunch set during this time. The spicy ones are spicier than it used to be before and the quality control is amazing because the ramen tastes just as good as it was before and service remained the same. I feel like I didn't notice the garlic paste on the side but I finally realized about it and it's ABSOLUTELY amazing. I love their reward program for the stamps on my Apple wallet and it makes me feel like coming here more for ramen since after 10 ramen bowls you get one for free! I know they said after 5 you can get free gyoza but the ramen is definitely why I come here. Now they have a waitlist outside and it helps me save some time before eating. It's getting more and more popular as days come by. The bar seating is great but they're also helpful to move you to a table if needed. There's a space inside the chairs to put your coats which is super neat! Really feels Japanese owned and the quality and service control is so great for an establishment that's been a staple in the neighborhood. The ramen went from $12 to $16 in a couple years but I cannot complain as the ramen is even better than it used to be.Thank you Ramen Danbo for continuing your legacy!

Finally decided to check this place out after craving some ramen from back home. I've been to multiple locations in Vancouver before but this was my first time in NY. They have a virtual queue system where you sign up at the door and will receive a text when your table is near ready. I came here with a group of four on a cold Friday night and it was about 80 minutes. Similar to the Danbos in Vancouver, you can customize your ramen from the noodle type to noodle wellness and broth depth. This is a little overwhelming if it's your first time, I'd recommend getting the standard selections and then customizing on subsequent visits. I personally prefer the thick noodles and like to add an egg to my ramens. Great spot for tonkotsu ramen with rich and creamy broth whether you're solo to sit at the bar or with a group of friends.

Be prepared for a ton of sesame seeds in the Negi-Goma ramen! Loved the broth but I could've done with less seeds. The chashu pork here is amazing!! It's got a wonderful flavor and would recommend adding extra to your ramen bowl. You're able to customize a lot (noodle size, spice level, etc) but I opted for standard everything to see how the base ramen is.Service is good and food comes out decently quick. Went in a super cold day so there was a decent wait. But you can put your name on the waitlist and walk around the neighborhood to sit at a local coffee shop to pass the time. Overall, would go again or try the location in Manhattan.

I've been to Ramen Danbo a few times now. Usually, there's a short wait, maybe 10 minutes. However, this past Sunday, I got seated right away. The only downside? I was by the door, so every time it opened, I got hit with a blast of cold air.I usually get the classic ramen, but I've noticed it gets way too salty after a few bites, which isn't my favorite. This time, I decided to try the miso ramen, and wow!!! It was so much better! It had great flavor without being overly salty. I added soft-boiled eggs and kikurage (extra charge for toppings). Drinking that hot broth on a freezing winter day just hits the spot. One thing that surprised me was that they don't have shichimi togarashi (Japanese chili pepper mix). I always add it to my ramen, and it's pretty standard at most places, so that was a bit disappointing. The restaurant is small, and it gets busy fast, but it's definitely worth checking out.

I love the vibe of this ramen danbo as well as the fact that you can get almost the entire menu in a vegan version. The spicy curry ramen was delicious. I didn't add any extra toppings but if I were to go back I'd add tofu and spinach. The stamp card is also very cool and high tech (you store it on an Apple wallet pas they scan). I'll definitely be back!

I used to love this place, but management has gotten very poor since I've last been here. We arrived and added our name to the Yelp waitlist and it told us 30 min. It ended up being a 1 hour wait, which I really think is just unacceptable. The system should've given us a better estimation as we wouldn't have waited in line if we knew it was going to be that long of a wait. Once we were finally seated, no one paid attention to us. We sat down and no one gave us water, pointed us to a menu, or checked on us for a good 15 minutes. We were very confused as the rest of the patrons already had their food, and the rest of the wait staff were just lingering and chatting amongst themselves around the bar. We eventually had to flag down a waitress and ask her to order, and I'm just wondering how long it would've taken had we not. I wish I didn't have to leave a bad review, but we just really did not feel taken care of as patrons. This is not a reflection on the food (which is wonderful) but the service we received from the queue technology and staff itself was not up to par.

I stayed in Park Slope for the weekend. I was exploring the area after not being back for 20 years. I was craving ramen and Ramen Danbo popped up and went here for lunch. It's a cute place and New York has better ramen places so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the classic ramen with the pork broth. Spicy on the back side which is good! Ambiance is nice and service is quick but they were busy.

This is it. Legit Japanese style authentic ramen. Ordered via Grubhub last night and tried their classic tonkotsu and vegan classic ramens. Both were fantastic. The ingredient's are better than most other ramen places use. The noodles weren't over cooked and the broth was super tasty. Love the ability to customize so much of the dish. Will definitely be back to try the miso version and spicier ones as well!

This is probably my favorite ramen in the city at this point. I love spicy pork-based broth, and theirs really hits. They allow you to specify amount of lard and heat, so you can really tune it to your tastes. The noodles and meat are perfectly cooked (though I always have to add extra char siu), and it's just the right amount of food. The place gets super crowded and they don't even do delivery during dinner these days (though you can still get takeout). I've eaten there a couple times and service was very fast and pleasant, with an efficient waiting list system. Sleek and efficient indoors, a little noisy, but no more than you'd expect for a good crowded ramen bar.Highly recommend!

I got the Classic Tonkatsu lunch special (m-f, 11-5) which was the standard price "plus $5". The options were: drink, gyoza, toppings - which you get to pick 2 from. I got toppings + gyoza, which came with 3 dumplings. I also added a genamiacha tea. So first off, seeing toppings as an option made me realize that the ramen doesn't already come with toppings?? If I'd ordered according to how the Tonkotsu was pictured on the sign outside, I'd have been really disappointed when it arrived. Additionally, if you get the toppings option for the lunch, you only get a "half serving" (ie. 1/2 egg), which to me is unnecessarily stingy.. Typing all of this is making me realizing that the lunch deal doesn't really feel like a deal at all...Which leads me to what I didn't like about this place - that they nickel and dime you. At every other ramen place I've ever been to in my life, a bowl straight off the menu includes egg, meat, mushroom, bamboo and seaweed at in the standard price. Here they charge you $1.25 - $2 per topping, which is kinda wild. The ramen was good, don't get me wrong! I ate up every drop. And I do like that they allow you to customize your ramen in terms of noodle thickness, noodle doneness, how rich/thick you want your broth, how spicy. They have oils and garlic on the table as well.Typically, I leave a ramen place feeling stuffed. I didn't here so I do think that the portion size is on the small side. They have an option to add on more noodles - (it's recommended to order when you're halfway done) but because the bowl and broth are already so small...I just don't see the vision.I saw people saying the service here was not so great, but I was literally the only person dining in so it would've been kinda hard to forget about me. I visited the restroom and it was well stocked and clean.I'd eat here again if I were in the area, but am more inclined to want to see what better options the city has to offer.
