My friend took me here for my birthday and it was truly one of the best meals I've had in a while! NYC has some great vegan/vegetarian restaurants and this one is definitely top 5 in my opinion. Here's what we got: - Mangosteen Cocktail: light, refreshing, and delicious! This cocktail was the perfect compliment to our spicy meal :)- Blueberry Espresso Martini: definitely more espresso than blueberry, my friend thought it could've been sweeter but still enjoyed it - Fried Brussel Sprouts: these tasted exactly like they are described! Lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and topped with lemon juice. These were supperrr crispy and delicious. I do think these were nothing super unique though so if you're looking for a different flavor profile I wouldn't get these but we enjoyed them! - Vegetable Wonton in Chili Oil: These were good as well! I wish they were a bit more chewy? They basically fell apart if you tried to eat it in two bites but the flavors were all there- Spicy Cumin Tofu: This was SOO good! I've never had anything like this! It comes piping hot filled with tons of veggies and tofu. It is definitely on the spicy side (comes with tons of chopped red chilis) but we loved it! I would suggest getting a side of white rice to enjoy this with and soak up all the sauce. Also, though it is on the pricier side, it comes with A LOT of food! Between the two of us, we had enough for a second meal for both of us so definitely worth the money. -Signature Flat Noodle with Chili sauce: this was probably one of my favorite things we got! Though the ingredients were so simple, they were just so unique and yummy! I have no idea what made that sauce so good but the tanginess from the cooked down tomatoes and the fresh noodles just made the perfect bite! This a must get here imoOverall, I had the best meal here and will definitely be back :)

Easily found a seat and the decor was very pretty. We asked the first server what was good and he said everything was, we then asked what was unique to the restaurant which is when he informed us that it was his second day and hasn't tried anything from the menu. We asked for a different waiter so we could figure out what we could order. Chips were fairly good and so were the mushroom and chicken however after a couple of bites you get tired of it pretty quickly. We split it between the two of us and we could have easily had a third or fourth person share with us. Tofu popcorn was widely reviewed but the taste was very mid. It felt like I was eating cheesy bites that was lacking flavor. I would have preferred a different sauce than the sweet and sour. The tofu inside was also not my favorite texture. Chili noodles were definitely the best item. It could have used more flavor but overall both me and my friend loved this item.

Arrived around 4p on a Sunday, the place was empty. Two servers were at the bar and disinterested in greeting or serving us. It was freezing cold and we were heavily coated, our coats were ignored right past the coat rack.I was intrigued by the menu and ignored these signs. We arrived hungry and it seemed to take forever for the server to take our order. I went to the the bar to see if we might get things moving. The servers were chatting and did not seem concerned with the single other seated table or me. I asked if a manager was available and was told maybe he was in the back. The interaction made me question the servers' English to myself. We didn't meet the manager until after the meal I grabbed a bottle of water from the station and took it to the table. We ordered hot and sour soup, the crispy broccoli and stuffed tofu skins appetizers; the pumpkin mapo tofu and cumin tofu mains. The food was delivered haphazardly, presumably when it was ready. No effort given to seeing if we'd completed a course, or if we liked the food. The tofu skins came out first and three presentation was askew. They were a bit soggy, but tasted good. The soup was next, delivered with there bowls and we were left with an awkward wooden spoon to serve it to ourselves. The crispy broccoli came out right after the soup and then the mapo tofu while we barely had time to touch the soup or broccoli. Then the cumin tofu after a short while. It was easy to see each dish had been carefully designed, but none was executed to it's potential, save perhaps the broccoli. The mapo tofu dish did not include the tempeh listed on the menu. The manager came to collect the bill. It was over $100, with no drinks. I told him I had been intrigued by the menu and the chef's qualifications. He replied that the restaurant had been losing money every month, and that next month they would add meat to the menu to try to achieve profitability. It's a shame. This place could have been a fabulous haven. They probably needed to close during quiet hours after lunch and before dinner, but I'm no restaurant manager. It's a tough business. If you decide to try it before they add meat on March 1, try going in the middle of lunch or dinner. Perhaps both food and service will be better when they are busy.Pros: 100 plant based menu., Creative dishes., Nice ambience.Cons: Lackadaisical serving staff, Poor execution, Adding meat to the menu in March

Came through on a whim and was surprised how good everything was for a vegetarian restaurant. - Fried Truffle Mushroom: mushroom had a meaty crunchy texture and the aioli sauce paired well, truffle wasn't overpowering either- Spicy Dry Pot: even without the typical meats, the texture of the different veggies made up for it and you still get the Sichuan pepper flavor - Mangosteen Cocktail: beautiful presentation, would recommend trying- Blueberry Espresso Martini: unique, coffee with a hint of blueberryInterior is modern and we enjoyed the twist on regular Chinese food without compromising flavor.

The interior design of this place is SO good, down to the detail of the plating and chopsticks used. Service is also very good. My favorite item was the pumpkin mapo tofu, it had a complex flavor profile and was a nice spin on the traditional mapo tofu. I wasn't too crazy about the fried mushrooms, I couldn't taste much of the mushroom flavor. Overall I would come back if craving vegan chinese food which apparently I get the craving for after being on vacation where I ate tacos almost everyday.

Overall a cook vibe with some interesting options. I personally prefer spicy moon for vegetarian sichuan food but these places are definitely different. I thought the food here was good, but was lacking a bit in depth of favor. Everything felt very simple.

Pusu's menu is a combo of choices that imitate meat dishes and those that purely unique to them. I really enjoyed the pumpkin mapo tofu and flat noodle (np) but wasn't sold on the Beijing style shredded pork which had a sauce that was overly sticky in taste and texture. Overall it's with a visit and I'd encourage you to explore the unique creative dishes and not get the imitation stuff.

Amazing amazing food! Beautiful ambiance and friendly service. Such a unique take on vegan Chinese food. Really appreciated how creative the dishes were. The tofu pockets were the best part of the meal, it was a tofu skin wrapper and stuffed with tempeh - yum!!The mask tofu in the pumpkin came with a presentation because it was lit on fire with a blow torch. The beyond chicken was heavy and filling but good taste. I'd go back in a heart beat!

Food is very good and tasty. But service is thumb down. From the front desk host to the person who were taking order are coming to you with an attitude. The server dropped one piece of our wraps for the Signature Duck dish, and I'm not sure if they ever did a training on customer service.. Overall decoration and environment is good.
